Regarding the Servo Motor Control via Joystick Project #6, your analog pin connections to the Mega 2560 board are incorrect. The diagram shows First and Second Analog connections to A2 and A3 but they should be to A0 and A1 in order to match your code, A12 is not really used.

Hi, When i click upload i get an error stating the #include expects a 'FILENAME" or when doing the sesor and servo project. any ideas?

It is completely compatible with Arduino's coding interface and library. The only thing that changes from the real board is that it's cheaper and the name's diffrent.

The code for the led matrix does not work for me
The first one isn't working. Connections are all correct. The servo steps a little when power is connected, but no response from the sensor.

Do you need a computer for all them
yes
You do need a computer to upload the program to the Arduino's microcontroller for whatever you want it to do (which they call a "sketch"). After that the Arduino can be disconnected from the computer and only requires a power supply, which can be a battery, in order to operate whatever function you have set. It will retain the program even with power disconnected until it is reprogrammed.

Not a dumb question at all if you're unfamiliar with these devices. Yes, the Arduino's microcontroller must be programmed by the user, but it's very easy to get started and you can construct numerous projects using code from existing libraries. The board just provides a convenient interface for controlling power, components and modules, actuators, sensors, displays etc. You can build a device and run it permanently with the Arduino, or use the Arduino to develop a prototype then build the final version more efficiently from only essential components. This video leaves out those details, seems to be just a demo for inspiration perhaps?
