Seeing all the polygons / shading problems really bothers me. It kind of bothered me back then too, but really makes me cringe now. But yes, a lot from that era just weren't developed enough for the system... there was a whole transitional phase in the 5th/6th gen consoles to 3d gaming, and lots just don't hold up well.
I remember playing this game that reminded me of league of legends on the gamecube and it was like a dark atmosphere with different characters I just don't remember the name
Meh, it was alright, but I found it underwhelming. I will always prefer the N64 Zelda games, myself, but I did always like the wolf transformation of Link in Twilight Princess. Also Midna's pretty cool.
23: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - Well worth playing if you enjoy Lovecraftian Horror. It's a survival horror game in a lot of ways, but it messes with you whenever your character starts to go insane (charted by a bar, similar to health and magic, those two also being in the game). I wish I had known about it sooner and so glad I gave it a second chance after my brother insisted we keep playing. 26: FF Crystal Chronicles - Played it so much as a kid. Back when I had a ton of GBA systems and at least three GBA-Gamecube Link cords to play with my brother or my cousins. I hope they remaster/remake the original. If not for the 3DS (which they probably never will), then for the Switch. AT LEAST a VC version with the multiplayer reworked, like they did with Pokemon Yellow (though it will take more effort since the Switch only has one screen and you used a GBA for the second screen). 29: Geist - Never played it. Might check it out. 30: Gun - A really fun game to play when I was younger. Graphically, it hasn't aged well, but it's still a fun game for anyone who likes western games. I'd compare it to Red Dead Redemption, though it's not *quite* as in-depth in the story. Still great. 31: HM: A Wonderful Life - The only Harvest Moon I've ever seemed to enjoy, sadly. Owned it on Gamecube when I was younger, repurchased it on PS2 and I still enjoy playing it, though I'm not a big fan of farming games, so I tend to slack off the further I get in. 38: LoZ Collector's Disc - Still have it one disc. It's how I first beat Ocarina of Time and how I first played and beat Majora's Mask. Those are my two favorite LoZ games of all time. I doubt that will ever change. 39: LoZ: Four Swords - I liked it when I was younger and could play with others, but unlike Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, I don't enjoy it as much without someone else to play with, so I don't touch it much anymore. 44: Luigi's Mansion - Maaaariooooo! ....Mario? (Yes, I love this game. Ghostbuster Luigi!) 55: MGS Twin Snakes - I'm sure it's better in a lot of ways, but I refuse to play it because of the voice actor changes (particularly Gray Fox). It's just not the same. Not for me. 65: Pikmin - What needs to be said? Minion strategic combat and resource-nabbing. If you like this game, you might like Overlord, as well. Very similar gameplay, though obviously radically different aesthetic and "maturity" level. Overlord is kinda light-hearted and humorous, though... sometimes. 68: Pokemon Channel - It's okay. More of an experience than a game. Fun for a little while, though I'm not going to lie and say it's deserving of high praise. 69: Pokemon Colosseum - Hands-down the best non-mainline Pokemon game I've ever played. It sticks to the formula of the main series, but also adds in some unique stuff like Shadow Pokemon and the fact that the main character is an ex-criminal, having joined up with Team Snagem before he betrayed them. I love just about everything this game has to offer. The sequel "Pokemon XD" (70) wasn't bad, either. A bit more "joyous" if that makes sense. They went a bit of a different direction with that. Still fun. 73: RE4 - Favorite Resident Evil game. Well... maybe I like Outbreak more because of the setting and the fact that it was multiplayer, even if I never got to try that aspect. Favorite mainline RE game, at least. 81: Stairfax Temperatures - I don't like this game. I don't hate it, but it always creeped me out. Would have been better without Star Fox being attached, honestly. Maybe if the art direction of the faces hadn't been so creepy, too. Definitely would have been better without the half-baked fake language "keeokratou GENERAL SCALES". Do all of it in one language or none of it, morons. 87: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Unlocking Mewtwo was my life's mission as a kid. Every time I lost my save, that would be my primary goal until I had him. First Smash Bros. game I had ever played. Didn't even learn about the N64 game until after the Wii U version was already out, not that I bothered to play it. The Wii version was pretty fun, too, though I'm not a huge fan of the series, anyway. Fun for a while, but not a personal favorite. Shame I didn't really discover a whole lot to catch my interest. I've played quite a few of these even though I didn't mention all of them. Does make me want to replay some of my older games, though.
When gaming was focused on fun, exploration and not micro transactions I gotta love it. Now Nintendo and Sony just sticks the same formula that makes them the most money and there is no diversion and it is consistent regression across the board to try to make the same game charging it for as much as they can so gullible people buy it including children. These games try and strive for a good product and a great heap of fun for all ages.
Some of these games looked really good for the time they were made.

we want to make a game that character uses gun, what title of the game should be? 'GUN'
Regardless it was a phenomenal game.
Just played first 40 mins. Weird thing happened I had fun
Can’t believe Tales of Symphonia is 15 years old. This game is timeless. But more importantly: what the hell have I been doing for 15 years? 😰
Lol
i'm 41 and getting dreamcast seems like yesterday. Its been 22 years! wtf
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg.... omg at first i didn’t recognize it but now.... my gosh the memories i really miss playing that game
I loved 41 & 42 I grew up with them
Good memories
Lego star wars is an huge stuff of my childhood
Same here
I remember my dad switching our gamecube for a ps3 and he bought the lego star wars game as well as the lego batman game. God I miss those times
I had a random nostalgia moment and had faith to find it but had NO idea what I was looking for. Boom 2 minutes in, evolution worlds. Totally loved that game growing up.
Star Wars Bounty Hunter. Fantastic gameplay, underrated, hidden treasure of a game!
Ah nastalgia. Thanks for this. I've played several of these games and loved them all. Man this takes me back.
Precisely why I make these videos. Thanks for the kind words, and I am glad you enjoyed it!
My first gaming console. So many memories
Thankful for your own gratitude in the description. GCN was the most powerful system at the time. RE4 proved this.
Thanks for actually reading the description. You may be the only person to do so of the 69,199 viewers that have watched this. :)
Well, gotta agree on the power of GCN compared to PS2 and Xbox. Only thing that held it down was the disc-capacity.
tbh I'm hard pressed to believe the Gamecube was more powerful than the Xbox. The GC may have pwned the PS2 in that respect for sure, but the Xbox was pretty performant.
In regards to specs, absolutely XBOX damn-near doubled GCN, yet how many developers took advantage of that?
Visually, XBOX had capability to smash GCN, yet how many times that was achieved is subjective.
Both sides have their barbies: Fable, Halo; RE4, Metroid Prime.
XBOX is the more powerful system on paper, yet was it actually put to use?
I wonder if XBOX could handle the polygons of Rebel Strike and RE4 village?
BG&E looks and runs amazing on both systems.
Granted it's stylized, yet pop in Wind Waker on a SDTV and get your mind blown in 2017.
I like the GC and i buy quite a lot of games to play using my Wii.
Nevertheless...put God of War III in the PS2 and see what was possible with that console.
If there is anything to hate, it's the memorycards of the GC with the stupid blocks. Corrupted Savegames are painful-.-
(even possible with original nintendo memory cards)
Can't wait to play RE4 again.
Recomend:
Zelda four swords
Zelda wind waker
Smash melee
Paper mario
Mario party (all)
Megaman X
Luigis mansion, super Mario sunshine
Thanks Gary. I love the Gamecube.
Thanks for including Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds
+Jason Aviles great game! Needed to be there
I'm just gonna buy all 3 consoles (PS2/GC/Xbox) of this generation so my kid doesn't have to choose. and on the very real chance i dont procreate considering i collect videogames almost as old as me, I'll have a bunch of nostalgia to distract me.
Just buy him a good android phone he can play in all the console he wants
You forgot the Dreamcast :) It was also of that generation

Everyone acts like old games were bad, but don't realize their success caused games to exist.
GAMECUBE & DREAMCAST
were so damn great
I want a GameCube for Christmas
So many Zelda & Mario Party games
Phantasy Star Online Episode 3 barely had any explanation for what the game is about.
It was a card game that had absolutely nothing to do with PSO. Fun times
@@leftyfourguns Actually it does, it's the last game chronologically, it explains how there's the urbanization of Ragol and a group against it.
100 games you always wanted to play but noooo "you already HAVE a wii, play it on THERE" mom said, but NOO "I don't have the supplies to!" I said...
I don't understand anything you just said, but the Wii could play Gamecube games. Certain versions of the system, anyway. It's possible others can't, but mine most certainly can.

You gotta remember that the GC was around from '97 to '07. There was a lot of change during that time on terms of graphics.
It is odd seeing medal of honor, call of duty, mortal kombat, and hitman on a Nintendo console
I remember playing this game that reminded me of league of legends on the gamecube and it was like a dark atmosphere with different characters I just don't remember the name
Dark alliance? :) Or maybe gauntlet

Yeah thats melee.
At first i thought that was SB64 until i looked at yoshi's model.

UMMM DID YOU GUYS NOT SEE NUMBER 21!!!!!
Why is there no ' City Racer ' ?
00:03 DID HE ! ?
"Come over here and help me" :')

Bomberman Generation is my favorite Bomberman game
There's a lot of GameCube games wow!😮
Twilight princess looked amazing back then
Them's we them good ole days.
White text on bright backgrounds? For shame.
Ghostbuster Luigi!)
55: MGS Twin Snakes - I'm sure it's better in a lot of ways, but I refuse to play it because of the voice actor changes (particularly Gray Fox).
0:03 Dab XD
40. The original and master quest are the greatest
Star Fox Adventures is best
O
Shadow The Hedgehog?
Marvel nemesis
number 24 was pretty good
Underrated Bond game for sure!
#21 wtf :')
Pokemon XD best name in gaming history. xD
lots of gamecube games were not that good, but my favorite games are on gamecube (think Metroid Prime, Paper Mario, & smash bros)
