- Hope you guys enjoyed I am definitely no expert on the games but felt it was a fair assessment on some of the aspects of the games.
I don't have any hate towards Hell Let Loose but the lack of leadership and communication definitely does get on my nerves sometimes. Which one do you choose do you think with Squad 44 being cheaper also plays in a role ? Let me know in the comments which one you enjoy more !!

good video, only thing i would recommend with your video editing, not an issue for many but for some. when comparing 2 games, when showing clips of one vs the other, put a watermark title of the game in. if someone is trying to make a decision on the 2 they may not know which one they are looking at in videos. anyone does any research they can tell, but some people wont be able to. again, small issue, regardless solid video.

I've had a lot of good squad team play in HLL over the past 2 months. Community is super nice & helps you get started. 0 toxic folks. I found regional/local language servers to be key.

Great video mate. I’m in the same boat, played hell let loose for a while and recently started playing squad 44. I really enjoy the audio, weapons and game meta in squad over hell let loose. General graphics id say HLL has the upper hand at the moment. Having said that watching tanks catch fire and explode in Squad 44 is incredibly fun! Keep up the good work

What drew you over to Hell Let Loose? Like what was the big standout when you first played it or saw it?
@@oofBOHICA I like the tactical aspect of it. I never really got into any online games prior to playing HLL. I am a World War II history buff. I really enjoy the community as well. I never play as commander but I do enjoy trying to be a competent squad lead or whatever role I am playing, I try to play off my squad and give good callouts or whatever communication is necessary. (Lvl 147) I try to keep the OP moving outside of the herd of blueberries and get flanking maneuvers going. When the point gets taken during warfare matches i usually try and hold back and play defense.. a ton of things like that

@@mozphat9308 Honestly the name "Post Scriptum" probably did more damage than anything else to the game's popularity.
I prefer HLL, simply because i have so many servers to choose from with low ping. I can barely find a populated server on S44 at all.
Yea having that crossplay on HLL also helps a ton for that !! As much as I enjoy Squad 44 HLL is also better optimized
'44 has the best sound you will ever hear for a WWII game. Ballistics are better than HLL as well. Tanks are OP in '44 and seem to take a lot of hits (more than needed). Overall team communication is the only problem in both games which will always be a problem unless you play with friends.
I will say I noticed that fairly quick, multiple charges on a tank and they still live just fine.
i started to play project reality more again and it just makes you realize how bad the comms and teamplay corrdination in squad actually really is, even on a comparably "cultured" server

If you like HLL but you want something with a bit more teamplay, more hardcore, and higher attention to authenticity. Squad 44 is the way to go.
But if you want something more accessible where you can turn you brain off a bit more but still have some semi-hardcore fun, HLL is the way to go imo

Well,depending how you look at it,authenticity is a draw..Squad 44 has more realistic gun handling,armor mechanics etc....but the maps themselves are far too clean for example

@@NashmanNash But Squad 44 actually pays attention to what units fought where, gives somewhat realistic loadouts. More correct uniforms, more realistic squad organization, mostly correct tanks and where they fight, etc..
And some of the redone maps actually are pretty detailed. In some cases HLL might be over the top with the destruction.
Like by and large, Squad 44 is more authentic
The Devs need to work on the maps in Squad 44, it’s way too clean and empty.
Good vid! imo, Squad 44 has the edge in *feeling*, for lack of a better term, vs. Hell Let Loose. The movement, the sound design, and the way you interact with the gameworld just seems better thought through and more polished. The chef's kiss is the little subtle camera jolts when you shoulder a rifle or reload a certain weapon. Not to mention the shooting is just more satisfying IMO. Squad 44 retains it's peculiar canteen stamina boost mechanic which players often cite as making things complicated compared to HLL. However, compared to HLL having unlimited, but SLOW movement speed, I find this to be refreshing. Both games are based around maintaining an adequate player-built spawn system to win. However, HLL doesn't much rely on tickets, ergo dying doesn't carry as much weight as Squad 44. That makes it more forgiving for newbies or low skill players, but it makes reviving other players practically a waste of time. I say this having played HLL far more in the past compared to Squad 44, which was essentially dead until recently. I hope this new rebrand and focus by Offworld envigorates the game soon!
agreed I think Hell Let Loose caters to the arcade shooters that are sorda interested in milsim
I haven't played Squad, so I'll not try and make a false comparison 😊 - what I will say from playing HLL on and off for many years is that it offers an immersive experience with what still very much feels like an indie game to this day. Very friendly community and while easy to pickup and start playing, there's a lot to unpack if you're in it for the long haul.
It's worth the money if you want a WW2 game to sink some time into!

HLL overall but squad is doing some interesting stuff. they’re not there yet but HLL is lacking lately.
I think if Squad 44 keeps getting more traction and devs care some good things could be on the way !!
I've not played Post Scriptum/Squad 44
But HLL side of things, I've played a fair bit on Console and have picked it back up on PC,
What I found with HLL is community generally speaking is pretty good (though Lately on PC it's been abit of a weird mix),
Despite Console not having a server browser (last time i checked) Clan Matches are incredibly fun and intense (i've yet to try a clan match on PC)
When you get two good opposing teams and the fight gets intense for that point that can swing the game is superb
I have wondered how things are on the console end, I really appreciate you taking the time to check out the video homie !!
The big difference? HLL has a player base.
I will say Squad 44 is growing and adding a Pacific Theatre which will be cool!

Gunplay immersion for hell let loose seems more satisfying. Those Thompson kills for instance in the house you had right away in your video, recoil and overall feel is so arcade in comparison to HLL.

Gunplay is seriously more real in S44 if you can say for video game and so is bullet drop, zeroing and general feel. Played both since day 1 so i know, first time someone said arcade linked to S44 ive heard
@AndyP998 agree to disagree. shooting hip fire and the way players vision is when you bring up the guns from hip to ads. The movement of them being different depending how youre strafing, the focus on sights and recoil mechanics, bullet drop, bullet velocities all way more immersing. Scenarios and better teamwork in s44 might make you over look those personal details imo.
@@sarlcagan8185 Strange damage values based on balancing aspects in HLL, totally wrong bullet drop, mp zeroing for max range shots, recoild more accurate and of course in S44 stamina which on top adds to your accuracy. They still got that first person aim thing in HLL when you bring gun to your shoulder and aim, real aiming point where bullet leaves is about your chest level.

HLL easy to play and understand to fast, Squad 44 diverse but not good of the optimization
Having owned both since both came out, i.e. squad 44 first , I have to say it totally depends on your style of play and mood :), if you want more sim then squad 44 but sadly server list are not that plentiful or just damn full i.e. never getting in. Gameplay compared is quite similar minus the drinking bottle needed when sprinting much LOL. Vehicle wise Squad 44 is better hands down especially tanks with players that want to tank, it can be damn fun. Vehicles not all but some tend to be much harder to keep on the road or a straight line in 44 compared to HLL.
Hll is awesome to play too plenty of action and getting greased, lots of servers I belong to PBS so I stick with those unless they get over run by a commander or SL that cant read rules on language. Tanks can also be damn fun in HLL too but that also depends on crew. I love both games personally and 44 since all the new updates has really transformed from what it was, back when HLL came out everyone left 44 to HLL so it pretty much died there, Never understand why they built 2 games at the same time but different release times.

Squad 44 is soo mutch better then Hell let loose. Awesome teamwork, long firefights, better game sound, and feels more like a real ww2 game. Hell let lose is too arcadish and slow at the same time. Squad 44 had allot of ppl playing it back in the days when it was named Post scriptum but lost players as devs gave up on it and hell let lose became more popular on more platforms.
I definitely agree with this take more than alot others, Hell Let Lose brings alot of people that just wanna shoot stuff. I think if they brought the ticket loss and such to that game people would play it more like Squad
HLL is prettier though, for some reason squad was allways a bit lifeless graphic wise compared to other (even much older) games
p.s. except in the particle effects department, in that regard squad is the gold standard

the black out screen with the HLL Snipers is horrible that brake the game for me.
Downloaded squad 44, can't even get into an empty server to try it out so how can I compare it.
just like most games with the similar format, even on Hell Let Loose same thing hoping they start a que so at least you know what position you are in!

I starten without PS when it came out. Then went over to HLL. Have almost 400h in now, but three days ago i downloaded squad44 again. Told some of my friends I have played HLL with to try squad44. And wow, the first thing is the sound, more realistic and gritty. The gunplay feels awesome, feels like a real punch to fire the weapons.
Sure HLL is a bit more polished in some way. But hey, i rather get to go in to almost every building in squad44 even if they are empty.
To sum it up, i can see a bright future for squad44. The devs are already working on rework for early maps, the pacific and alot more.
Team17 ditched the whole roadmap that could have taken hll to the next level with anti air, deployable mg, mortar etc.
For now, I will stick with squad44

@@IndigoJoe28 black matter who made the game had their own roadmap with alot of good stuff going on. Now team17 has their own with nothing of black matters plans for the game. Its a real shame.

I have played both games since the closed alpha stage. Post Scriptem (Squad 44) is a much more realistic experience, it is also less fun to play. My main issue with it is a core game design choice so I don't see it changing. That is the squad size limiting what classes are available. The end result of this is unless you get in at the very start of a round you can't play anything other than a rifleman. I have zero desire to play rifleman, so I never play Squad 44.
Thats fair, I play a ton of regular squad so it doesn't seem as a hindrance for me but people who don't play that format as often could get annoyed. Appreciate your input thanks for stopping by !!

I played both, but Squad 44 it´s most imersive then Hell Let. About graphics hell let it´s a little better. Unfortunely Squad 44 still crashing for Brazilian players and this happen because the language of Windows!!! Another negative point it is the fact don´t have server South America and the ping is a bit high in other servers.
That's wild, hopefully they do something to fix that!

PC only makes it immediately unattainable for most. That’s probably the most significant difference. Also fugg me does this recoil look easy compared to HLL 😩
Yea thats the only thing with most milsims is all the keybinds it would pretty much impossible for console/ controller. Even the tank when youre driving you gotta shift and such

Squad 44 sound design really takes me to that place where I feel like I'm there. It's not every moment of the game but it happens often enough that it really makes me think how terrible it would have been in WW2.

TLDR:S44 as a game is much more complex and detailed than HLL but the community for S44 is very closed off to new players and can be rather negative towards them from my personal experiences
Ive played the hell outta HLL and a few months ago i tried S44. Game is much more realistic and detailed than HLL however the community is much more closed off to new players.
When as of now i only have 6 hours in S44 with half of that in the range. Ive only played 2 matches, 1st match was a mess and had no clue what i was doing as a basic rifleman, second match i joined a squad and told them i was new. I got some flavorful words that youtube wouldnt allow to be posted in the comment and booted out of the squad. Decided not to try to play until this recent update i saw. Of course i still have no clue how to play so i went into the official S44 discord to ask for help or someone to teach me the basics of the game and such and it boiled down to to 1 of 3 things said from multiple people
1-go watch youtube
2-go join a clan
3-go google how to play
As an active member of the HLL community i was shocked that such a cool looking game that clearly lacks a lot of players would have a community like this and then ask why is the game not as populated as it should be
I really feel that HLL has lacking in some spots because of the console cross play like its great for player count but they don't have games like squad as much to their disposal so the squad to squad communication and teamwork is kinda lost.
@@oofBOHICA oh absolutly HLL is lacking in some areas, personally im an armor nerd and to see the lack of different armor in game hurts my heart, meanwhile S44 goes all out with armor from different vehicles up to detailing the crew compartment and even the ammo inside of it but still at the end of the day i tried S44 and got nowhere with it due to the rather negative community

Its more like players issue. If new player comes to squad and wont even say hi or is totally silent he can be treated as vet player and will maybe get some flak. If you are new, people treat you as new if you are humble and try to be teamplayer.
Every game has some players who have angst when they are stressed but generally S44 has little more mature audience and if players are willing to learn they will teach you
@@AndyP998 i always have a mic , especially since i play dayz on and off, and always said i was a new player but i understand that every game has its bad apples but imo it makes a bigger impact on s44 when the game struggles to even get 1000 active players at peak times
Squad 44 has an even worse performance (for me at least) than HLL, for me… would love to play it more.

@@oofBOHICA i run a rtx2080super and an i7k CPU which seems to be the bottleneck. Both squad and squad44 seem to not be able to really make use of the rtx too much and really choke up on CPU usage. Squad44 drops to constant 24fps on some maps for some reason… on others it’s easily playable 70-90fps.
@@Joggelschorsch thats odd to hear, cause like i do have a better gpu and i have to turn down graphics in Squad but Squad 44 I didn't have to change anything if you'd like I can look into some things and try to find some good settings for ya !

S44 is more of a hll bf knock off!!! No immersion no tactical realism or outcomes.
This is the first comment if disagreed with the audios and such are great and the combat is quite immersive. BF1 is more arcade than both of those games. I respect the opinion and thanks for stoppin by and watchin homie !
I personally think hell let lose looks more realistic in the building's with damage and debris, Squad 44 buildings look to clean. Only grudge great looking game. Would jump in, in a heart beat
Yea for sure, I think graphically hell let lose has the W its defiantly close though!
HLL has advantage in environmetl graphics but building wise goes totally to S44. You can enter almost any building in game were in HLL its just blocks with added texture and no way to get inside. City fighting in S44 is way more intense experience

@oofBOHICA I was only looking at steam player numbers. If you google HLL player numbers steam you can see the steam charts.

@@oofBOHICA Yes i would say about half of them for what ive seen. But with this comes also many players who dont use mic at all and thats why HLL suffers alot in general teamplaying aspect. HLL was still best even when not fully developed first 6 months before progression was added especially weapon unlocks

Squad 44 is the better of the two, by far. HLL feels like I may as well just go play cod.
Thats kinda my feel as well I do enjoy the actual gameplay but struggle on the teamwork side cause people treat it as an arcade game
0 Both games suck! both are terriable games that won't hold your attention for very long simply cos they are not fun to play adu eto both being very poorly developed and very fraustrating to play. dont buy into the Bs of waiting for a improvement iv had both these games for years and there's been 0 improvement (don't belive the fan boys etc my word is final take or leave it) games still run like crap woth low FPS both are buggy glitchy messes best avoided. Team 17 cant deal with their long term hit registary issues and just focus on map vairents and paid DLC. Post Scriptum aka Squad 44 is just poor on every level that UI is so bad it a joke. if you see anyone talking about these two games and using the word "Potential" block them right away etc they have absolutely No idea wtf they are talking about as i said iv followed these so called Potential Games for years and the potential never materialized to date. they will both be potential broken game for the remainder of their lives.
