Really liked the video, appreciated the depth of explanation of your thoughts. How do you feel about Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus in this? Same MV as Nylea's Colossus, but doubles power and toughness every combat. Admittedly, more of a removal magnet, and we don't always have more creatures to sacrifice for the indestructible counters.
I really want to put Zopandrel in this, but the deck is susceptible to board wipes and like you said it doesn't always have sacrifice outlets to give it indestructible. I've actually updated this and added the skullspore nexus for the doubling Power effect and to get a huge fungus Dino upon board wipe
Oh that's a great option! Wipe either a few big baddies or a bunch of little ones and get an absolute monster waiting after. Plus the doubling, and cost reduction a la Ghalta/Great Henge. It's been interesting looking at that moxfield list and the change history. I was with you on being back and forth about Tyvar's vs Silkguard and reached the same conclusion about Heroic Intervention just being better, especially now that it's ~$7 instead of $25. Has Defiler of Vigor not been performing well for you?
@Scotty7298 yeah unfortunately it felt like I wasn't utilizing defiler to its fullest potential only having it and maybe 1-2 other creatures out, and usually weren't anything I was going to combat with. I pulled it to hopefully build something with more creatures to take advantage of the +1 counters
@@Oso-Gaming Highly suggest swapping Elvish Mystic out for Arbor Elf. First turn or two doesn't matter, but later being able to untap the enchanted lands is a great adjustment. Also been thinking about whether I like how Dormant Grove and Saryth interact, and whether I like the vigilance more than I like losing the deathtouch late game. All about offense vs defense I guess.
I replaced yavimaya with aura gnarlid, at the minimum it stops chump blockers. I’ve also thought of getting venerated rotpriest simply because almost every card targets thrun
Nice! I didn't know about aura gnarlid. Yeah, it's similar to Champion of Lambholt getting around chump blockers. Great suggestion! I've strayed away from Venerated Rotpriest in commander. Other players bristle at poison counters and you immediately become enemy #1. Also it only gives target opponent a poison counter not each. I like the idea though. Thanks for the comment!
Setessan Champion's power is the "whenever an enchantment enters the battlefield under your control draw a card." Insane card in the deck
Loved this video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

You are 100% correct. Time to find an Arbor Elf. I also added instill energy for the haste and pseudo vigilance it provides.
