You didn't need two switch nodes 23:55, just plug the "true" value from the bottom one into the True value of the top, since they have the same selection.
hey man awesome tutorial. i have a question about the bevel, when i go to 1 it doesn't go as far as your bevel. if i turn up the bevel max it goes but i don't think that's the point. could you maybe tell me what you did there?
I figured out two different ways to create a bevel. First: Sub surf twice, first one with a crease of 1, 2 levels, second one with a crease of .28 and 2 levels. Second way is a "2 dimensional" bevel. "Filet curve" on something like a rectangle, the curve to mesh using the new filleted curve as the "profile" and a line curve as the "curve". You'll get a cube with rounded corners, in 2 dimensions, but not the 3rd. th-cam.com/video/eluAKWEbu84/w-d-xo.html to see what I mean.
The title, spoken reference to other part, and the inrendered overlay are confusing. The title says part 2 of 3, then you talking about legs you had explained in previous part. And the overlay writes "PART 3".
I'm trying to follow along with the tutorials to make this node tree myself, but the Group Input options are confusing me since you're using the already finished setup instead of doing everything from scratch.
Im sorry you're having a hard time following along, but this "tutorial" is 2 hours long. If I wanted to record everything again from scratch, it would last probably 5 times as much, and it would be mostly me doing the same things over and over again
@@BlenderBash I was able to get through part 1/2 of the tutorial just fine, but the Group Input in your tutorial is mostly throwing me off since I don't see a socket called width
@@sonario6489 with the Group Input selected, press Ctrl H (or Cmd H on a Mac). That should reveal the hidden unconnected sockets. Or hide them, if they are all visibile
@@BlenderBash I mean I'm actually trying to build it completely from scratch while learning the nodes in the process. I'm up to the 11th minute on your second video, and from what I can see, the width seems to be the bottom value of the multiply node used for your bevel set up
@@506ms I don't hate him, the tutorial did help me something, it's just annoying and boring when you repeat the tutorial for twenty times and hear the sentence "so what did I do" again and again
The dude is giving away possibly months or years of accumulated knowledge to you, for free and what you have to say to him is: "Gross. Stop repeating "so what did I do" it's annoying". You must be one fucking stellar human being.

I found the mistake. My unit scale was different than yours. Something to think about too :)
Inspiring!
