This is so exciting! What a great haul. It’s very difficult to get BPC inks in Canada, but a pen friend gifted me with a ton of samples and I’ve been obsessed ever since! 🥹
I've heard they're hard to get internationally. Fantastic you got some samples though! I have a feeling I'm gonna like playing with them and inking them up too. 😀
that's soo cool...you like a little girl on christmas morning...or a birthday...LOVE IT 😍👍 Your excitment is intoxicating 4:01 mossy green and appears to be liquidy ?? 11:24...😂 🤣LOL.. *Scuttlebutt* = definition is "a Gossip or Rumor" 7:08...reminds me a little of DIAMINE Sepia color or Noodlers southwestern sunrise 8:01...wow...that's going in the deep end of ink..lol 8:39 ..reminds me of Monteverde FireOpal 9:46..I don't have that color in my collection...interesting.
I know! I feel giddy like it's Christmas every time I open a box. Heehee. 1. You're right about the green. Guess that's why I couldn't describe it...was quite a bit liquidy. Mmmmmh... Think will ink up just to find out how it writes. 2. Scuttlebutt for a colour that beautiful seems so wrong 🤷🏽♀️ 3. Diamine Sepia comes off more caramelly to me, this one is so much more in the yellow/golden fam. 4/5 Monteverde FireOpal is a gorg colour too. 6. I am in love with that purple Huckleberry tho, Oooh! 🤭
Dang, me too! That’s why I only got the bundle of 3 bottles + the magma. The move was a moves are….lots of energy expelled then extreme tiredness. It we’re getting there. Thanks for asking. We’re now on the east side.
Wow I sure wish they came in smaller bottles. Mostly because I can’t pick just one when I look at their website (and I already have more ink than I need). Looking forward to the mixing!!
Thanks Jaycee! It’s good to be online again. I’ve missed it but could not do much, of course, with everything all packed up. Was driving me crazy. Root Cellar is a beautiful golden colour and I cannot wait to see how the undertones play out in the mixing.
I know and I cannot wait to get to it. Couple other things I’m working before I can get to it but my brain is chomping at the bit to get started. That Magma ink I’m gonna have to be careful with cause I don’t want it to overpower things when I mix with the others.
Thanks for another wonderful video. I love that you forgot what ones were in the box because when I get a stationery package and I can't remember what's inside it makes me very happy 😂
Cannot wait to write with it but even more, to see how it plays with the other inks in mixings. First tho...finish unpacking the house before I sit down to play. Ay, yi, yi!
I ADORE Birmingham Pen Co inks! & just got some empty bottles, originally to put my samples in (since i got multiple samples of single colors) & am planning to also use some of those bottles to do some ink mixing.
Huckleberry caught my eye the most although all of the inks look great. I am looking forward to your mixing video. I’ve only mixed inks by accident so far by not cleaning a pen as well as I should have.
Such beautiful colors! They look specially good together but I think my faves are Root Cellar and Molten Magma! It's such a shame that BPC doesn't ship outside the US... anyways I can't wait to see which pens you will fill with these inks :) Thank you for the video, Grace!
Thanks Goya! Right now these inks are headed into eye droppers, most likely their “babies” thru my experimentations will be inked up in pens. Thanks for watching!
I remember people saying, what’s the scuttlebutt meaning, what we say now, spill the tea. Meaning, tell me the gossip. I love the word magma, reminds me of the Austin Powers movie. I really like that Green but then I’m very partial to Green. And huckleberry reminds me of the cartoon huckleberry hound. Now I’m telling my age. It would be really interesting to see you compare, writers blood, and oxblood with the magma.
Sounds like I have a mission to complete. 👨🏼🚀 I do have a Reds Inky E's video coming in May, will be sure to put these 3 in it to compare. And I am very partial to green as well. 😊 Have never heard of scuttlebutt till I saw it as this inks colour. Too funny!
Root Cellar made me think of root beer so I guessed brown. It's not the color I imagined but its beautiful! It's the one I'd put in a pen first. Molten Magma reminds me of Ancient Copper. I've come close to ordering from them but haven't yet. Beautiful colors, Grace! How's the move going?
Thanks hon! Ancient Copper is a gorgeous ink! I been saying that too, come close to ordering for last 6 months then upped and did. The move. Why do we do it again. Ha! We’re in and settling. It’s gonna take a while to not have a box or container to empty.
I won’t guess root cellar bc I love BPC inks! My aunt/penabler and I bought 18 bottles between the two of us to share. Love the keystone inks that you can mix according to the recipes on their site to create new colours. I might HAVE to get a majohn glass pen 😜
@@wildlyimaginable thank you for the link. Can’t wait to see what colours you produce. The cost per millilitre of the BPC inks is ridiculously low. So, 18 bottles cost MUCH less than the Canadian brand she and I love so much 👍🏼 If I can make a suggestion…get a bottle of their dilutant. Their inks are so saturated that you can create new colours simply by dilution. And don’t you adore the fountain pen paper clip they include? So cute 💕
@@AngellaAvenue Love em all, maybe not so much pondweed. Ha! That Burlap tho is a sleeper, online it looks beige but when peeps swatch it, it looks dusty rose almost. Mmmmh….
@@wildlyimaginable Pondweed is interesting as I find its aptly named though it looks more grey in a thinner line and leans more greenish with a broader line. I love that about it. Burlap is great. I don’t find it leans rose but maybe in a broader tipped pen it would.
@@AngellaAvenue Interesting about Pondweed. Looked at the formula for the ink and it’s got 10 parts of Sterling Silver in it and from the pic of that ink online, it has a greenish tinge to it so to me, makes sense you’re seeing green.
I keep saying no more inks but dang it’s so hard. Pens have to wait on the budget cause my tastes need a little more moolah than before. 😆 Streetcar is beautiful!
👋🏽 Anne! It's called an acrylic round block that scrapbookers use for their small round clear stamps. For those interested in getting one, I've gone ahead and already linked to it in the description box of this video. I LOVE using it! Funny you should ask, I'm about to record a video talking about and swatching with some of the tools we fountain pen enthusiast have "borrowed" from other hobbies and call it our own. 😂
You know what Charles, I don't think I have. I remember it took a while for BPC to ship the order it came in earlier this year so prolly got lost in the shuffle. 🤷🏽♀️ 😕

👋🏽 Pam! I’m so excited to finally get some in my hands. Been waiting such a long time for even these few.
oh my word !! I have been drooling over the Birmingham inks.. lucky you !!!
Sometime this year over on m,y Ko-fi page I'll be hosting a virtual swap party and thinking BPCs will be in the lineup for me.
You have a wonderful selection of BPC inks. I am drawn to the root cellar. Have fun mixing, Grace!
Thanks Linda! 🥰

Me too, about the smaller bottles. That’s what took me so long to get this set, too many colours to choose from. Ha!
Love these swatches but mostly that Root Cellar with shoes warm undertones. Welcome back! 😊

I ordered 2 BPC inks at the end of last month and I’m (im)patiently waiting for them to arrive! Love your colors. ❤

Nope. Prefer the splotchy look. I use a Q-tip for other swatches I do. Thanks tho.
