We received our Allgrip 1 month ago from Manila as one of the last phased out Allgrip, must pay the shipping cost to Cebu. So underrated and unsuccessful in Philippines only because even the sellers and reviewers actually DO NOT know about what Vitara Allgrip really can. i had a 2009 Vitara with a 2.4 litter four cylinder engine, I admire the body configuration and the rear wheel drive. my only bad comments , the aluminium engine block usually breaks when the engine overheat
We also have XL7. Yes totoong mapapalingon ka sa Vitara sa showroom.🙂 And its also my choice kapag nagkaron ng extra budget and for family of 5. Sulit din naman ang XL7 kapag porma, fuel consumption, performance and space ang hanap mo.
We had the 2019 model of Suzuki Vitara and in terms of comparison, I'd say there's improvement especially with the drivetrain but not to the point that it would make those previous gen owners regret purchasing the earlier versions. And for the price, if given a chance, I'd still take the older version. But don't get me wrong, the AllGrip is still an awesome upgrade from the older version of the Vitara.
I have seen both Suzuki and non-Suzuki sources call it AWD and 4WD. Even in this video, the terms seem to be used interchangeably. Can you confirm what AllGrip in the Vitara actually is?
As a product manager coming from Australia the 1.6 engine is terrible. The 1.4 turbo is wonderful. Ditch the sunroof and insert the 1.4 turbo. Then the car is worthy

I used to work in Suzuki Cebu South. The 1.6L engine is fast, peppy and seems to wanna race all the time. Did 140kph in Sibonga (south Cebu) without using sport mode (unit I drove had paddle shifters). If I did, I wouldn't be writing this review 😏 The only things missing from that thing are bullbars and a .50 machine gun

a vitara with a boosterjet is a lot more tempting IMO. i mean if you want to do some serious off roading, we have the jimny. i was hoping that for those who want to have a bit better performance, the vitara with a turbo is the way to go. but they instead offered an AWD. at 1.4m --- it's something that I would never consider. they should bring back the SX4 in our market. a crossover for those who have no need for a 7 seater with a small engine like the Ertiga

What's up with the lazy audio starting from 7:00 there is some static sound which is not part of the music track, it has sound distortion and low frequency warble... It sounds like caco is doing a voice over in the car, there are even honks in the back ground... Its a dip in quality from the norm reviews you guys do...
Suzuki parts and services are VERY expensive. I asked a parts manager from a Suzuki CASA how much will it cost to replace the wipers on ky 2018 Vitara. The parts manager told me around P2,700. I asked if its for the "Pair"? He answered....No, P2,700 each. It also cost me P7,000 to replace my Vitara's engine protection cover. Repainting of bumper will cost you close to P14,000.00.

Chinese car brands (or atleast cars made in China) are bringing better tech and value at a lower price in the Philippine market. Suzuki seems to have upped thier game with this Vitara, its a good upgrade to the previous version..However with that said, it still pales in comparison to some Chinese competitors like the Coolray.. Thats why Chinese cars in PH is good for the consumers and the economy..hehe

agreed, in terms of parts availability and resale value? they are almost the same. Even if suzuki is a japanese brand, parts availability is not the same as mitsubishi and toyota. Just make sure that when you get a geely, you are close to a service center.
Grabe, at that price. I'd get another vehicle. Another 150k and you get Toyota's cross or the top end Kia Seltos at the same price. Heck, you can even get Isuzu's 1.3m base model MUX. Suzuki really is all over the place with model releases and with trim levels as well. They keep on discontinuing relatively new models or trim levels only to bring them back. eg. vitara and swift. Makes current and potential buyers hesitant about long-term service and parts. Just 3-4 years ago, you could get a Vitara for less than 800k, granted it's the base model, you still get pretty much the same engine. At 1.5m, Suzuki should have introduced the 1.4 turbo in our country which alone could have attracted more buyers given it's very steep price. Pass on this car.
