You know it. This and Brink were some of my favorites. Started my obsession with aggressive in line skating, which lead to a decade of sponsorships, trophies, broken bones and surgeries. What a great decade.
When I was a kid one Sunday this movie got played over and over again on a local channel, and I remember watching it atleast 3 times and making homemade pizza, never forget that day as that also the first time I had cheddar on pizza. I bought a dvd of this years ago, whenever I put it on really want some pizza. :)
@@astrofive620 SAME! I used to see this movie on TV so much when I was a kid and loved it then you kinda notice one day when much older, "Hey what was that one movie where they had that crazy race at the end?" And took me a good while to find it, still haven't found a DVD or even VHS of it.
The Ravine Street hill in Cincinnati, which I drove down today and saw this video randomly by chance, lol. Alot of Ravine still looks the same to this very day.
I did not know that Cincinnati is so hilly ?! Looks more like San Francisco but in the winter time 😄 Never seen this movie. Great stunt! Overall that scene looks great and cameraman did an awesome job!
@makan1568 We have the Seven Hills here but some areas are alot more inclined than others (Like Western Hills, Walnut Hills and Clifton Heights, the area this scene was shot in.)
@makan1568 They call them mountains, which they obviously aren't. A lot of German immigrants settled in Cincinnati giving it a great beer culture and quality, long lasting homes built by their skilled craftsman. The "mountains" in Cincinnati are Mt. Adams, Mt. Airy, Mt. Lookout, Mt. Auburn, Mt. Washington, Mount Healthy and Mt. Storm.
I’ve been watching this since the 90s. Still watch it once or twice a year. Snake and Seth green were the only ones to move forward w careers. The parents too.
Such a beautiful movie, this was when Disney were on top of their game. Now that the corporate and governance elite s have entered these institutions, we will never see the same level of creativity and quality.
Popeye, now there was a great man. Do you know why? He never joined the Hairclub For Men? Wrong. Because his motto was: I am what I am. Do you think Popeye ever worried about what he wore just so he could get Olive Oil in the sack? I should say not, Dude. And do you know why? He was gay? Because he is what he is.
This movie is OG status it’s seriously so underrated yet impacted so many young extreme sports athletes alike!

Thank you for posting this! It'd getting harder and harder to find.
Glad to help!

I thought I was the only one who loved this movie as a kid!
Nope still have this on my ps3 machine downloaded lol
Man I remember watching this with my sisters back then. Seth Green and Jack Black were so young back then.
No shit, Seth green and Jack black were young 30 years ago. Genius comment
@@matthewdubay1180Cool.
Now they're communists.
And Jacob Vargas!
@@Crackshotsteph Now they are leftists.
Anyone here in 2024?

I dont lived to far from Cincinnati.......covington side
Total classic. This scene is actually filmed very well.
man, this movie.... such an overlooked/forgotten gem.
The score during this race really sets the mood. Great flick.
Helps when the score is done by the drummer from The Police 😂
@@SamuraiCop I had NO idea. Makes so much sense.
@@sourarmoredhero7765 yeah Stewart Copeland, did some amazing score work.
Be good homie!
This was classic! Why I loved roller blading so much as a kid.
That's amazing, this makes me want to get into skating now lol
Thank you. I loved this movie as a kid but I could never remember the name
Saw this movie on a theater in Brazil in 1993. Used to ride my rollerblades daily and play inline hockey on weekends. Great times…
Me too but in Philly/NYC/Conneticut
So glad I found this. I totally forgot about this movie. It got me really into rollerblading as a teenager.
This was a classic movie growing I was still a little kid when this came out this when everyone had roller blades or a bmx bikes the 90s was the best
This also makes me want to watch Gleaming The Cube. Christian Slater. Classic
I remember watching this in fifth grade thinking this was the coolest goddamn thing I’ve ever seen. still feel that way classic movie
I remember watching this movie 🎥 when I was younger. Miss this movie 🎥
Devils Backbone by the LA skate team, some really killer stunts
One of the better a.i. videos ive seen.
Holy shit I thought this movie was a fever dream I had back when I was seven. This changes everything!
I’ve been watching this since the 90s. Still watch it once or twice a year. Snake and Seth green were the only ones to move forward w careers. The parents too.
0:21 not many things scared me as a child, this shot was one of them
Watching this clip…just cheezin. Cheezin hard
craziness, i forgot all about this movie, I remember wanting roller blades when i was 11after this lol
I would love to see a 2024 inline skating movie.
That would be so dope!
Such a shame skating isn't as popular as it used to be 😢
Such a beautiful movie, this was when Disney were on top of their game. Now that the corporate and governance elite s have entered these institutions, we will never see the same level of creativity and quality.
This movie & mighty ducks 2 made me get roller blades.
Remember watching this on Disney channel when I was younger
legit terrifying with that old gear.. whew man
This scene reminds me of when I broke my knee.
Once I realized how fast I was going I was toast. Just a leaf in the wind 🍃
Very underappreciated movie.
The 2nd half of this clip is O'Fallon Ave, in Bellevue KY just across the OH river.
Heck ya, this movie is a classic..... Brah🤙
Did....you just call him a piece of underwear? 🤔
This was like an extreme sports version of "Footloose".
Loved this movie back in the day. Been trying to figure out where/how to watch it with my kids, but haven’t been able to.
You're welcome. One of my all time favorite movies just because it brings back memories of my childhood
I heard it’s on Disney plus brotha
@@anthonyhart9878 I don't know why the link I put got deleted.
It's on a website called moviesjoy
I miss being a kid in the 90s. We had such good entertainment
what a great scene ... as a rollerblader myself I can feel the danger
I grew up in a river town on a bluff with hills like that. Nothing like passing cars on some K2 skates in '97
Somehow TH-cam figured out that I saw this movie like 5 times when I was 13.
The algorithm knows all.
Just like Pepperidge farm remembers.....
Gonna tell me grandkids this was Fast and Furious…
Bruh, little kid me loved this race so fucking much!
Absolutely awesome, and I bet no one was harmed in the production.🤣😅😂
I remember watching this on Disney for friday movies with my sister
Mighty Ducks D3
Such a great movie! Can’t find it anywhere though
This is awesome!! Serious question, was T stop not a thing in the 80s?
Thank you TH-cam algorithm for showing this after I casually mentioned this movie to a coworker last week...
Crazy how this popped up. I was thinking about what was the title to this movie the other day lol.
Wow that was better than the mighty ducks
So intense, so EXTREME
Those roads were only that smooth for filming. They have never looked like that since.
facts🤣
This Race is more fun to Watch than
Fast and Furious
i rented this from blockbuster!
Blockbuster 😭😢
Let’s make rollerblading great again
that stuntman at the 55 ec mark took a hit
He Got blasted 😂😭
Cincinnati do have some bigass hills
Get outta town tha natti got terrains like this? Thought i saw a down grade sign.
0:05 Ravine Street
0:12 Dorchester Ave and Bigelow Street
I was a skater back then, we used to rag on the bladers 😂
We called them fruit booters in the early to mid 90s.
Bruh I couldn’t tell any of my skater homies this was one of my favorite movies🤣😅
I had skaters tell me they were afraid of blades because you couldn't ditch
The continuity errors in the scene make me giggle. Cars and racing suddenly missing, racer changing positions, racers changing shirts/helmets.
And it is still an amazing scene
Ikr what a waste of the millions and millions they had to finance the movie 🤦♂️
I’ll take this over transformers any day
I once saw someone trip down The Devil's Backbone.
Insane😂
Location ? Does the area still look the same ?
Best shit I ever seen on Disney
Not all was filmed in Cincinnati car jump was on dayton Bellevue border in Kentucky
This movie inspired me to stupidly go down a lot of giant hills in my rollerblades.
Always thought this movie was raw especially when he got hit by the car!
Gen x, last of the generational badasses
Cincinnati looks like a hell hole.
Brink brought me here.
Airgear before airgear
1:08 😂
The devil's backbone
Legit 🔥
I watched this on the down low as a skateboarder, Jack Black come on man lol
Wasnt this movie called Brink or did i just get all mandala'd?
two different movies!
1:14. Me no see cars.
Last 2 dude. Omg im going to die!
1:25that dude thinking “what the hell am i doing?”
Ode to be young dumb and fearless again. Great movie also
This was like the grimier version of brink lol
Haven't seen Brink!
That win was for Pepe the shark…
There really is a street called Devil Backbone in Cincinnati but it’s not this

Because he is what he is.
Imagine living in Cincinnati. I’d be trying to rollerblade headfirst into people’s cars too who also had to live there. 🤮
I’m in Ohio and I think it was filmed in Cincinnati
for sure! cincinnati and Northern ky
More like CinciGnarly
Radical dude
Used to love this movie but roller blading got considered gay
man, those roller blades never looked cool
Where tf is Ohio
Was that a quote from the movie? Without the "tf" of course. I remember him being from Cali
Rando fact, the cute girl from this movie married Verne Troyer
There really is a street called Devil Backbone in Cincinnati but it’s not this
