Thank you...I think I'll put that project off until another day. Perhaps install LED replacements while I'm at it, like I did with the cabin lights.
Pull out the switch with pliers, push the small tab over the light to one side, pull out the bulb with thin pliers then replace, Job done! On the slk there are 2 screws under the unit.
Dear Sir, may I first congratulate you because your videos are very helpful. I damaged the front arm rest top cover in between the two front seats. I bought a new top cover. Can you kindly show me how to dismantle the old cover in order to replace it with the new one? Thankyou
Nice video, but you don't have to remove the climate control unit from the dashboard. The white plastic pieces covering the bulbs can easily, and safely, be pushed back and held with a small screwdriver. Then using a pair of tweezers you can remove the bulbs. I have a 2001 SLK320 and the same process is used to change the dome light bulbs, although these are easier because the bulbs are larger and can be removed with your fingers.
Really usefull videos. Good job. I`d like to replace my driver air vent and the central air vent, but I`m not really good at these things. Could you make a video about it? Many thanks in advance.
You should be able to just move those white covers away from the bulbs, and pull them out. I did it carefully with a thin pair of pliers... only need to pry the dials off, which means no taking the dash apart.
The step of 3:25 is being very difficult to me. I already spend 1 hour and didn't get to remove any of the pins. Hangers, thick wires and screw drivers were used. No progress so far. Completely stuck.
@@tinoproductions Hi. I wasn't expecting for your help. Thank you very very much. Back to the subject, yes, the heater is all up (warmer) and the other knobs are pointing up as you showed, but, I don't know why, the pins doesn't move. They are REALLY stuck and I don't know whatelse to try.
Its not the same on a w202- its more painful...need to remove radio cage, then dash facia will come off - and then the wirst- you CANNOT puch the pins out for the heater wheels...its a bitch of a job

Hmmm. I don’t have the car any more. Maybe try spraying some WD40 to loosen it up a bit. The car will be over 20 years old now!
