I hung up my OTR in 1998 and became a circle city peddler. I wish I could of recorded just the road views back in my time. A lot of new Gadgets you have now like GPS and tiny cheap cell phones where just coming out back then. I really like your channel.
Ind. jack thanks for letting the young truckers see how and what life on the big road works out ... I had a blow out once it knocked out two foot of flat bed trailer flooring // light box // bent the mud flap hanger and the Icc bumper ... the very next day the air bags blew out on the same side of the trailer because of srapnails from the blowout ... needless to say my dispatcher was crazy because he told me we didn't make any money this week ...your go-pro works pretty well... once again thanks for letting me ride along with you Ind. Jack
Thanks for this. I'm a local trucker and I do in-city deliveries, with occasional regional work out of the city (Calgary). Miss long haul to the states but it wouldn't work with family life!
Hey Jack real nice opening of today's film the backdrop and the music was fine I love that song it really fits you and your personality but anyway you have had more than your share of tire trouble but thank God it wasn't on your steering axle I've had that happen one time and it scared the bajitzel out of me. but I wanted to tell you that I watch your films everyday I guess I'm becoming a desktop trucker have a safe day see ya tomorrow. ~Jimm601
Sad to see the issue with tire and then wind which screwed up your next pick up. however taking it in stride shows total professionalism on your part. Great VIDEO. BE safe.
Hi Jack .. it looks like the remains of a coyote at 6:20, maybe a road kill victim been picked at by crows .. in the old days drivers changed their own wheels and tires. You would need a jack and mini compressor to run the air wrench which means a little extra weight, however it should still be a lot quicker and a lot less expensive than the current arrangement .. safe truckin' :)
I like your driving philosophy,Im a trade qualified carpenter and could make a lot more money building than driving, but it takes more than money to motivate me,sure reward for effort is a part of it,but variety freedom independence chasing the endless horizon and enriching my life experience mean a lot more to me than cash. One day I hope to make it stateside to drive for as long as the feds will let me.God bless you Mr Jack
Was that The Glen Canyon Bridge, Arizona, route US 89, you crossed at 2 minutes 20 seconds? I walked across that bridge in 2007 while my American cousin drove the car across. Looks like the reservoir is still very low. Thanks for letting me see it again. All the best from Scotland.
I just don't understand why a spare wheel is not included with the trailer. In Australia we have 2 spares tyres under the frame locked on to the tri-axle trailer. We don't have to wait for tyre services. Change the wheel and save 4 hours does that sound like a good plan.
mr road train from down under // here in the U S A // with drop and hook you are lucky to pick up a trailer with a spair tire on it ... now I did keep two set's of tail lights turn signals with me ... all the big companies tell us drivers that we are not macanics ... I have had to put mud flaps and lights on the trailer I picked up ... I have had to duck tape rubber door seals and use zip ties to hold open trialer doors so I could see how to back a trailer to the dock...
Hi Jack. What will happen, if the flat tire was on the left. Are those triangles do their job properly? In holland they close the lane over a mile in front of were you are. I've never stayed in the truck anyway. I was a witness of an deathly collision with another trucker who didn't do what he was supposed to do, namely : pay attention and anticipate. I am not telling you what you must do, it's bringing back memories. I don't want you to get hurt y'here LOL . Greetings from the Netherlands
is it happen always.....😄break down the truck..........are u singing.........voice look like u..........excellant ..............show u something special...........its u.......and my picture in A.........
Why is it that no truck driver knows how to put out there triangles properly? The way jack did it is the way everyone else seems to do it which makes them completely useless. Its one at 10 ft then 100 feet and the last one at 200 feet.
PonziZombieKiller Hey PZK ya kin folks needing a signature of a TH-cam celebrity, right there in ya home away from hometown once was. Sho seems a dead zone fer freight getting out of Buddy Holly land, as its always proved being.
We don't usually do triangles,as that requires walking and steppin to accounting at the sametime chewing dip. Anyway a 200+ count? Damn I'd get lost on my feet just like most of the rest of us. Lol. :(
Haha ! flour from USA, pasta back from China. Once I loaded a 20ft container in France ( 870 kilometers away from Rotterdam) with dogfood for destination Russia by train via Rotterdam. I was flabbergasted......
Jack. I cant believe you dont have a microwave, coffee pot and plenty of food. I can park in a rest area and heat me a bowl beef stew, open some crackers and a cold soda and chow down. I wake up in the morning and make a HOT pot of coffee and 4 pieces of hot toast and butter and never leave the truck. I have Green tea, milk and soda in my cooler. Sometime, I wake up and have a bowl of cereal and sliced banana. I have cans of Beef stew, beans & bacon soup, chicken noodle soup and lots of other stuff. I just can't understand why you eat out of a truck stop. Just saying.
You're probably eating it all the time without ever knowing it, it's a really sick and disgusting situation. China is a third world country and everything the export is full of lead, Arsenic and Mercury! It's freaking disgusting that we should be subjected to unknowingly eating the crap that comes out of China!
well thats one way to look at it, but most successful people started out with little, took the right chances at the right time, its not luck really, its all a matter of timing, and the correct state of mind
Hey jack.....the company has shitty trailers man.....and being that you are always on a quest for empty trailers, thats the price the driver pays shitty trailers and bad tandem tires.....did the road service bring you the cola you were dying for? A 40 quart cooler and a trip to the store would solve that problem buddy.....good video pertaining to murphys law....

I use to drive a truck for a year so I know it gets quite lonely. Atleast this youtube thing keeps you a little busy. Be safe out there.

Hi their Jack jam a retired driver of60 years! You do a allfullq lot of dead heading.I like your videos. Budlight.
Grain elevators use a platform dump like that to empyt open top grain trailers. It lifts the entire truck and trailer.
You were in my hometown for a weekend and I didn't know. We got the thunderstorms later in the week.
Glad Murphy got no hold on you. Drive safely.
Indiana Jack: The Trucking Zen Master!

Are you an independent or company driver? If your independent what did the tire service set you back?
I'm not a truck driver but was wondering, These trailers are not yours so are you reimbursed for the tire and repair costs?
Haha ! flour from USA, pasta back from China.

Just seemed that long.
I hate flat tires.

why not single it out. it's legal if you know your trailer weight axles.
I did 3 weekends in 9 years, one in Germany, Italy and Spain. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha...
With their poor reputation for food safety, who would risk eating Chinese pasta?
Americans. lol

I never met a trucker . With a mansion on a hill. Or chauffer driven limo.
cyclemaster46 i know two of them, they started as truckers, but they became fleet owners
well thats one way to look at it, but most successful people started out with little, took the right chances at the right time, its not luck really, its all a matter of timing, and the correct state of mind
I have a friend that has a fleet of dump trucks. If you were to meet him. You would think he wouldn't have two dimes to rub together.
i did some work for a guy just like that a few years ago.he paid me without questions though
UFO starts at 1:39
A LITTLE PIECE OF FOAM GLUED OVER YOUR MIC HOLE WILL GET RID OF THE WINDNOISE

The last 14 sec of the vid will answer one of you questions
pouchy400 I guess Albert cut it short.
you need to add one more to your why not to be a trucker ( if u hate to break down )
. I don't drink diet and I like my regular Coke. I see at the end you did get a Cool Zone. I don't think it's a Coke
R. McGraw Pepsi or Royal Crown for me! :D
R. McGraw both are mega unhealthy. the diet for the aspartame. the regular because of 50 teaspoons of sugar per liter ...
3Dtimespace Sugar is a vitamin. :D
What? No coke?
uh cancel my last comment Jack just said he was 45k. can't single that out.
FYI the Chinese invented spaghetti
No, the Canadians did 🍜
So, trucking is just a hobby for you ?? You must be rich.
+John Gull Bunny Trucking is my full-time job.
Hopefully he got a coke....that did me....and a trucker that can't change a tyre..won't use emergency water...
