      @jasonrhome710 3 ปีที่แล้ว +54

      I was thinking about that a bit. If the interiors are LEAD, that shit is stupidly heavy, hence lead pipe being a long running murder weapon in Clue. Depending on how those coats are constructed, they're possibly marching around in a manner where breathing would be next to impossible while being completely encumbered. (Not to mention what that would do to the shoulders the weight is draped over.) Worse than perma-roast, unlikely. Still not the best day in the afterlife to have.

    • @thatboymeak
      @thatboymeak 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@jasonrhome710 ironically, a lead pipe is one of the least deadly weapons every.
      you can punch a hole through lead, you can bend it, rip it with your bare hands even, lead is incredibly malleable.
      the solid lead you see isn't actually solid lead, it'll be a lead alloy
      but that also means you could mold the lead into a support system that you could lean back on while standing - the only way it would be heavy enough as pure lead would be if there's a lot of it, like inches thick all over - but lead being incredibly malleable means an inch think can be spread millimeters thin under enough pressure (less pressure the hotter it is...)
      you could build a lot outta that coat

Essentially he's still continuing his original sin believing his on strength is enough to run his own life instead of being subservient to God and thus all his efforts keep him trapped

    Stuff referenced in Limbus Company:
    7:16 - Dante wakes up in a dark forest, is attacked by wild animals (in LCB it's characters with animal names/themes)
    7:40 - Virgil is Vergilius in LCB who, just like Virgil, acts as Dante's guide through the story
    8:45 - Vergilius literally tells Dante LCB that they have to go through the inferno
    12:14 - This is just a hunch of mine, but I think the people who try to attack Mephi while Dante LCB and crew are travelling might be a parallel to the sea of lost souls
    13:20 - The bus driver in LCB is Charon
    17:05 - I feel like in LCB Vergilius gets this treatment instead of Dante. Also I have a hunch that this group could be reflected by Yuri and the other two fixers. So far I've only played up to the dungeon in Canto 3.5, but I have a feeling that these sort of characters that only appear for one or two cantos before dying or disappearing are meant to parallel the sinners Dante talks to in each layer
    21:12 - Just a hunch of mine, but I feel like Effie and Saude could be a reference to these two. See previous note
    Will update this as I progress through the game more

    Not Very Fun Fact: The Entire Divine Comedy rhymes in Italian. Specifically in Terza Rima, which is a type of Iambic Tercets, where each line is intertwined with the other (aba, bcb, cdc, etc.) It's difficult to work with, and I have no idea how Dante did this for around 101k words. Each line in Inferno is also 11 syllables.

      The Latin based languages, especially in their older, closer to original Latin form, are VERY prone to rhyme and double meanings. Some older European poets and writers went APE with that concept, in Italy you have Dante with his Afterlife epic, and in Portugal you have Luís de Camões with "Os Lusíadas", which is basically all about how Portugal was great, born from greatness and destined to greatness, and the Portuguese had Every God Ever on their side, and thus shouldn't mope around nor be negative.
      Which is very ironic, because Portugal has always been a DEEPLY Catholic country, but Camões was out there invoking Muses and saying Odysseus/Ulysses founded Portugal, and Aphrodite felt very protective of us and Zeus went along with her. Don't get me started on the mentions of sea gods, that man must've gone through every single one.
      And then, because I'm a literary nerd, another Portuguese author that got away with A LOT MORE THAN HE REALISTICALLY SHOULD HAVE, was Gil Vicente, specifically with his "Autos das Barcas" where he made comedies, in the modern sense because they were HEAVY on satire, in which a bunch of dead people have to either embarc on the boat to Hell or the boat to Heaven, and they all start spouting their supposed virtues, but the Devil heckles them and points their hipocrisy and flaws, and the Angel just, roasts them, so they go into the Devil's boat. Until a group of, if I remember correctly, humble friars arrive, and the Angel is so happy for finally having virtuous people the he scares them off and they run to the Hell boat with the Angel still giving chase.
      And this is just in one of the Autos. Which are plays. That were performed, and still are. But back then were performed in front of the people they were criticizing. Gil Vicente feared no one.

The "Dante" character of the Divine comedy is a worse version of the real life Dante. ITS NOT A GAME PEOPLE, YOU COULD DIE TOMORROW, QUIT PLAYING AROUND, THESE ARE END TIMES!!!
      TURN TO JESUS NOW! ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS
      STOP PUTTING YOUR HOPE IN THE GOVERNMENT, IN RELIGION, IN SCIENCE, IN WEALTH, IN CELEBRITIES, IN SPORTS, IN THE WORLD (IT WILL PERISH!)
      Turn back to Jesus our Creator, not religion. Religion creates bondage, in Christ there is freedom. Im not talking church, im not talking religion, im talking relationship with your Creator. Call upon Jesus now and ask Him into your life and to forgive your sins.
      Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6
      “For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” -Romans 6:23
      "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." -Matthew
      10:33
      YOU CAN STAND ON YOUR OWN AGAINST GOD AND TRY TO JUSTIFY YOUR SIN WHEN YOU WONT EVEN BE ABLE TO LOOK UP. YOU WILL BE WEEPING IN TERROR REALIZING YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH GOD, HE CREATED EVERYTHING!!!
      GOD SEES EVERYTHING YOUVE EVER DONE; YOU WONT FOOL HIM!!!
      OR
      PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS WHO DIED ON THE CROSS AND TOOK THE WRATH OF GOD IN OUR PLACE FOR OUR SINS. IT'S A FREE GIFT BUT HE CANT FORCE YOU TO TAKE IT. WILL YOU CALL UPON HIM NOW AND SURRENDER TO HIM. TALK TO HIM LIKE A BEST FRIEND, HE'S WAITING AND HE LOVES YOU.
