When Nobunaga came across Luini(the guy he killed in chapter 393) Luini was asking nonu to join so they can kill everyone on the ship and then take the ship back to the mainland and cause chaos there. Nobunaga also noticed civilians being killed, so he deduced that some kind of ritualistic nen ability is being used by the Heil-ly leader to gain power by killing people.
Morenas character doesnt give big bad end game boss vibes however her Nen ability will for sure play a crucial role in the whale one way or another. I also wonder if there is a plan for her to have a "nen after death" deal where her nen members become even more deadly after HER death. She is the type to give her life for her "ruining everything" ideal, which I just realized is the same thing Gyro wanted :O
I still think that Shizuku (from the Phantom Troupe) may play a big part on this.. Since Chrollo told her to stay 'hidden and wait for the right moment'. Also, i believe that maybe this "Treasure to defeat Hisoka" that Chrollo is looking for, might as well just be Kurapika's chains. Which ties perfectly with the Longhi contract, that she offered to Kurapika. Kurapika can use it to make a deal with Chrollo, and also give him the "One time use of my ability" that comes with Longhi's power. And that whole Sarasa's story with the kidnap may have a connection to Tserri. Which also may tie everything that happened with the Phatom Troupe back to what happened with the Kurta clan. Maybe the Kurta clan massacre and Sarasa assassination came from the "same place", which forces Chrollo and Kurapika to work together. Besides that, i also think, without any evidence at all, that Kaiser might be manipulated by Ilumi. *just cause Ilumi is been away for such a long time, that is almost likely he has somebody infiltrated in the 1st floor.
On the Screen, behind Chrollo, on this last chapter, we see the news that the guy who was responsible for Sarasa's death was killed 10 YEARS ago.. Maybe around the time the Kurta massacre happened. What if the Phatom Troupe was in the Kurta Village, but they were not killing the Kurta Clan, instead they were after the guys who Killed Sarasa. What if they were actually trying to save the Kurta Clan to suffer what they had suffered with Sarasa's lost. Maybe i'm tripping, but i would love that outcome.
@@Hylean_Way That's why i said "Around that time" - 10 years ago, Phatom troupe killed and tortured the guy responsible for Sarasa's death. I think this is just your imagination😅She just said she's gonna disguise herself and look for him Chrollo never gave her an order. And I honestly don't see it ending good for her since her fortune said she needs to always stay with someone else and now she's clearly alone
@@Bulletproof208 (you don't have to be picky, it's just a theory for the fun of it) He didn't say it, i was paraphrasing, since Chrollo was ok with her plan to be disguised and look for Hisoka, and it's obvious that she isnt going to be observing the WHOLE TIME, considering that she can get caught, or if she saw an oportunity to do something, there are a bunch of different scenarios. Also, when i said she could play a big part on this whole plot, i didn't mean that it would be good for her either. When i said that, i meant that she hasnt appeared since 377, and Togashi will bring closure to her (in a good or bad way). Or she was just killed offscreen and it's already in her "endless sleep", which her fortune also mentions "the chamber of treasures" that can be interpreted as Hisoka (since is open to interpretation), and her death STILL would play a BIG PART on this.
Morena’s motivation to destroy the world doesn’t just come from the way she was treated. She sees the whole world as an unfair place where the strong preys on the weak and the cruelty of the world is magnified. She personally experienced it. But to create a strong nen ability like “Contagion: With an Etude of Love” you need extremely high level of conviction and that doesn’t just come from normal experiences. She thinks the world is unfair by design and wants to completely destroy it.
Hisoka seems like a very lonely guy. I think he very badly desires a form of love (all animals do, afterall; dogs, humans, ants.. everything wants to do whatever makes their brain feel good.). Hisoka's way fo experiencing love is a fight, especially a fight to the death (similar to your say, Son Goku from Dragon Ball, or Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna). I do think what Hisoka desires most, much like Son Goku, Gojo Satoru or Ryomen Sukuna; this general battle shonen character archetype, is the best possible fight leading to their death so that they can be happy. a desire for the greatest thrill they could ever feel.
If the HeilLy kidnapped 3rd Prince (he doesn’t know Nen) that would escalate the mafia war in a MAJOR way. 1st Prince could instate martial law (which he kinda wants to do) and the army would get involved. She’s looking for chaos lol that would do it
You should do a multiple chapter reread of the succession war arc and make a video on it. Us fans will make proper commentary on it and enhance your experience, inreturn we will get to enjoy you experience the arc again.
Hisoka doesn't want to die. He wants to kill. Killing two members of the Phantom Troupe and throwing away his code after being defeated by Chrollo is illustrative of him throwing a tantrum as a consequence of his loss.
What youre saying about bono, yes he is the imposter so ofcourse he would think the hisoka he seeing could be a fake But we see the inner thoughts of the other hisoka and those thoughts 100 procent is hisoka no fake there But hisoka wont be working together with halkenburg, litterly in this chapter hisoka's innerthought is talking about halkenburg and he is not interested because its a group ability and nen beast ability
True! But it seemed like Hisoka said that he found the princes’ abilities boring/not interesting, not necessarily that he would never work with them. I don’t see it being a long term thing, but I could see him taking advantage of their abilities.
Good point! I have enjoyed his character so far, so I hope he is ok. The only thing is, I can't tell if I can completely trust him yet. Assuming he stays "good" (whatever that means in this story, lol), I am rooting for his safety!
Missed the stream but there was a quick thing I wanted to point out from this chapter that easily can be missed. Hisoka said he knew the rumblings were from a nen beast? How exactly would hisoka know that information? The general idea would be he's working with a prince/bodyguard whos keeping him looped into things. However my prediction is, just like in Yorknew, hisoka is working directly with Kurapika and Kurapika might have helped him to get tier 1 access.
I think that's a cool idea but Kurapika doesn't know that the phantom troupe is on the ship. And I personally don't see kurapika working with hisoka for any other reason than to take them down. And hisoka's main reason to be on the ship is to kill the troupe all by himself, and tipping off kurapika could make kurapika suspicious and go interfere with the troupe himself. I might be forgetting or overlooking something, but I don't think it's really possible
@@Page_max I love the way you phrased that! I mentioned in the stream that I plan on starting a reread this week, and now I can go in thinking about it from this perspective!

I would totally agree that this arc benefits massively from re-reads (or watching TH-cam analyses as the case may be 😅). It’s not just that it’s insanely complicated (which it obviously is, with like 200+ named characters, factions, Nen Beasts, powers, etc). It’s just how rich it is. I’m not a re-read kind of person usually, but the more I re-read the Succession Arc chapters for comprehension, the more I get drawn into it. It gives you so much to think about. Which is also to say, I don’t think you’re necessarily asking the ‘wrong’ questions. In fact, you raised several things I haven’t even properly considered (like Hisoka’s end goal, willingness to die). But there are just tons of things that it would be awesome to get your take on, if you do do a re-read. Now you will not find real people in life willing to have sex with animals, because they are a different species and the idea itself is repulsive. He is just not sexually attracted to them The same can be said that most people don’t want to participate in Orgies, and wants standard Vanilla sex, Hisoka also don’t want to participate in group sex, he is fine having 1v1 sex, and by sex i mean fight to the death.

Hisoka is a really likeable character, which makes that whole aspect a bit weird to contend with as a reader IMO. However, I agree that the way Hisoka frames it in his inner monologue is more romantic than I would’ve expected. I found the section fascinating for that exact reason.
