But in reality, schools suspend students for defending themselves against bullies and if they don't retaliate, they lecture their parents that their son/daughter should learn to defend themselves. This is what happens when you give free public education, the parents don't give a shit and neither does the school because they don't need to worry. The school gets job security because of unions regardless of their incompetence and the parents aren't paying anything so they don't care if their child gets suspended or expelled.

@@devoof What's worse they show video to children teaching "defend yourself, don't let them do that to you". But then when you do you get suspended and mostly bulling occurs with a group of people picking on one person or some dude who is affiliated with gangs picking on you. Come on its not like children don't read the news of 13 year olds stabbing another in school to death over dumb shit. Its not like there is no instance of kids bringing a gun to school and shooting up everyone. It happened my school, a highschooler got into a fight one guy pulled out a knife and a third student tried to be a hero as save the guy from getting stabbed and instead he got stabbed to death. This shit doesn't happen in private schools because they care about their school's reputation and will kick out anyone who shows signs of bad behaviors and the parents of bullies will care because they paid out their pockets. And this happened in Toronto, Canada. I can only imagine how it is in the US where kids have easier access to guns and it's the wild west.

My Daddy taught me how to defend myself, and it's come in handy a few times, too. What my Daddy didn't teach me, my Momma taught me, but my Daddy taught me the stuff that could hurt or kill depending, and he always told me told me to get scared later, but to think while I was in the situation, because because because being scared would get me killed because I wouldn't be able to think straight and that piece of advice saved mine and my daughter's life one night when I was 22 and she was 2. When I started dating, my Daddy took me to the shooting range and taught me how to shoot, and it was like a right of passage in my family. My Momma was so excited when we got back and asked how I did, and my Daddy told her that I could do some serious damage, I just enjoyed spending time with my Daddy. In my family, even the females were taught about gun safety, and everyone was also taught not to pull out your weapon if you don't intend to use it, and definitely don't stand there stand there shaking and threatening to shoot, fire a shot into the person's shoulder as a warning shot. I know that there's this big whoop de do about being in your feminine energy, but my ex-husband and other exes have told people that what they loved about me was that they could go somewhere or thay I could go out with my friends, and they knew that I could take care of myself. My ex-husband told his friends that I was one hell of a Momma and he knew that I would kick anyone's butt who tried to hurt our daughter and I didn't fight to lose. My Daddy also taught me how to fight dirty and he said that he did that because I was tiny and I needed an advantage. So hell yes teach your daughters how to defend themselves and the difference between a fight and defense, but at some times they may need to fight, and how they can make a weapon out of almost anything. It doesn't make them any less feminine, but they don't need to get a false sense of bravado either, just confidence. Plus teach them that if they do get scared to use it to their advantage because I'm not going to say that I've never been scared, because I have, and I get extremely angry when I get scared and I use that anger from being scared to help me. Our daughters need to know how to protect themselves as well as our sons do.
