The Jeep Renegade is the only option for someone who wants a crossover or subcompact SUV with off-road capability. The Renegade Trailhawk earns the company's Trail Rated badge thanks to underbody skid plates, ample ground clearance and 19 inches of trailing power. In other words, it does everything that most challengers seem to be able to do but can't. This ability comes at a price, however, as the Renegade is more expensive than most of its competitors; The Trailhawk, for example, starts at just over $33,000. A turbocharged four-cylinder with only 1.3 liters of power output every Renegade despite the trim level and never break your neck muscles with acceleration. However, it will lead you to the supermarket or to the road, and it gives reasonable fuel efficiency. That said, if you're not into small trips on muddy and rocky roads, you may want to consider other affordable mini-SUV alternatives.

The Trailhawk does not have accident avoidance because if you are approaching a sharp angle as coming out of a ditch, it is not advantageous to have the avoidance package stop you because it thinks something is in front of you. All the other packages have that option. Please know your vehicles before condemning them for something you are ignorant of. Also 1.3 litre turbo is responsive at 1750 rpm's which is exactly where it is needed off road. Replacing the tires with BFG K02's also make all the difference in the world. A small vehicle like this is easy to maneuver both on and off road, and as such has no piers.

the video gave it a poor review. but i own the 23 Renegade Lattitude premium with turbo. its actually not a bad car. you can get it now for 24k plus incentives which makes it an outstanding price for a 4x4 vehicle. it has more torque than its predecessors. the fuel economy is not the best but it has start/stop which should help with fuel efficiency

the nhtsa gives the renegade 4 stars out of 5 wich i view as very good, not perfect but very good. it is not 4 out of 10, it is 4 out of 5, or a note of 80%. Also in your video you show the 2,4l engine, but it has been replaced with a turbo 1,3l that develops 210 lb/ft of torque at only 1750 rpm wich is remarkable, awsome. The space for the legs in the rear seats are acceptable for most passengers, only those approaching 6 feet will feel a bit cramped. Also the 9 speed auto has been improved a lot lately and shifts smoothly, no more hunting between gears. Dont forget to mention that the trailhawk will leave its direct competitors in the dust ( should i say mud ) if they try to follow it in the trails. Its fuel economy is acceptable considering that its final drive ratio is rather high with a ratio of around 4.6, poor aerodynamics, and agressive tires. The looks of this jeep are very good and unique, the ride is also surprising smooth. The price is competive for what you get.
