It really is Dope. There’s a freedom in her stance. She’s not upset or angry. She’s just matter of fact as if she’s waiting for white America to catch up intentionally and on purpose.
Yup, and the way now that’s she’s gone, people try to force their respectability politics on her. Like they clearly don’t know her politics AT ALL. Love her so much! I’ve been getting an obsession with her.
@@CandaceLeAnnePeriod! I love that about her! And she knew it, we knew it, they always want someone to educate them and use racism to distract us, too bad it wasn’t working with her. They needed and still need to catch up. Tired of them.
@@marselluswallace6597 I think the issue is trying to compare women to other women. You can still be very elegant even with tattoos and piercings. That's saying a black man wearing dreads is unprofessional when it's not. A hairstyle, piercing, tattoo does not determine your presence and how you carry yourself.
I love how it seems like she went to this talk show, bare faced. Without any makeup on and her hair styled out of her face. And what a beautiful face she had 🤩!!!

Like Sophia Loren, I always stopped and watched Diahann Carroll whenever I saw her in pictures or in guest appearances. She was always so elegant and to me established her flawless "look" in makeup that made her timeless! In later years she just looked like a slightly older version of herself and didn't go through those "strange" periods of fads!
I guess with hindsight, she should had been more worried about Bill and his hands all over her then Zero lol.... But anyway she was fabulous, beautiful, smart, stunning. I wouldn't mind getting my hands all over a lady like that lol...
Two years after this interview, Diahann walked into a boutique in Las Vegas, was greeted by the owner, and on a whim, married him. He filed for divorce four months later. Gorgeous, smart, talented, sure, but is it out of line to say she was nuts?

Old school glamour, poise and intelligence. She has always just been the epitome of class.
Absolutely. My dad went to school with her in NY city DECADES ago. These young ratchet girls could learn a thing or two from her. A real lady.
Girls, this is what a woman looks like. What an intelligent, confident, fearless and feminine woman.
Lol please stop it
A woman can look however they want. So next.
Not all women are feminine and they don’t have to be.
This woman was absolutely stunning!

Stunning and incredibly intelligent. I just love her. No classy ladies like this anymore.
So true... My favorite icon...absolutely well versed and elegant lady

Sleezy slutty is considered sexy today. nasty tattoos all over your body and on your feet. That's not sexy.
