Hey mate, Aussie Bob here just to say congrats on another great video 👌
Got one of these for my young bloke for Xmas, and am fighting the urge to go down the full mod path with it!😅
Got him a full light kit as a starting point for him and will see how far we fall down the rabbit hole after that!
The BIGGEST thing I think puts your channel WAY above the rest, is that you show good budget mods that any average Joe can achieve themselves at home. 🙌
EVERY other channel jumps straight into EVERY single aftermarket expensive Alloy/Metal upgrade parts, as well as all the electronics and accessories under the sun to bolt onto them.🙄
You are tackling the main faults in different models and then simply coming up with great sensible ideas to improve their performance with as little as possible. 👏
All the best from Australia 🦘🇦🇺👍🍻

Thank you! It does look good from about five feet away w one eye closed.😂. It’s pretty rough but not too noticeable on camera.

Awesome video,,, taking not so hobby grade RC trucks and turning them into hobby grade crawlers. This is what everyone wants to see. We know what Traxxas and axial and other high end brands can do, absolutely no fun ,I’d rather see someone turn a lower grade rc truck into hobby grade that is affordable to everyone, thank you for an awesome video 👍😎

I've been really looking into Rc's recently ( this would be my first rc) and I came across that same truck so I already got a whole list of parts going full metal frame servo and motor pretty much building a whole new truck lol but all I wish other companies made nice quality bodies so there were more options

Sounds like fun, i hope it turns out sweet, And yes you are correct. More licensed hardbodies would be great.

I bought these same rims for my c64 along with the portals and I did every other upgrade that you did. My problem now is that the stock motor couldn't handle the heavy injora rims and it burnt out. I replaced it with a 370 and it works but it still cuts off if it gets too much resistance from a steep surface. Any suggestions for more torque? I have another motor i'll be trying later today and i'm hoping it helps (tamiya torque tuned 370). Love the videos by the way! You really know what to do to get these cheap cars to crawl!

Are you still running stock ESC and battery etc?
If the power supply to the motor is lacking, it will burn out the brushes in the motor........ and putting in even bigger motors without upgrading the power supply will result in the exact same burnouts, only quicker! 😮

@@docbob3030 I am running the stock esc and battery still. I assumed it could handle the 370 because wpl sells that upgraded motor. guess it'll just be time to go brushless if the esc is the problem. Any 1/16 scale brushless motor esc combo suggestions that would still allow me to have a drag brake?

Thank you, you are right about the weight. I am going to switch the back wheels to the aluminum ones. As far as the motor i was going to try the tamiya motor as well. Lmk how yours works. Thanks for checking out the video

@ The Tamiya motor is definitely better than the 370 I got from amazon. Amazon motor was faster but did not have as much torque. It doesn't seem to be a massive difference in torque, but I think it'll save me from having to buy a brushless setup, new receiver, and transmitter. I am curious where you bought those orange aluminum rims, I couldn't find a link anywhere, and the weight of the injoras is probably overkill.
