I found you guys on my youtube homepage recommendation. Being in lockdown in Melbourne, watching the video helps me cope through the tough time, making me dream of an adventure once the Melbourne lockdown is over. Also, loved the video chapters, appreciated the extra effort 👍
Hello Martin! Welcome to the channel 👋 so glad we can give you some form of adventure while you’re doing it tough in lockdown 🙏🏼 we have just started doing the chapter thing, happy to hear it’s helpful 🤙🏼
Thank you for taking us along on your adventure. We have just returned from Magnetic island and had 7 fabulous 31 degrees every day vacation. Both Thai Again and Scallywags 🏴☠️ have ceased operations. Scallywags will be under new management in March 2025, not sure what they plan. The people from Thai Again have retired and not sure what they plan on their next adventure. Thank you for taking us along with you. ❤❤❤
@@cjexplores We did get to do some snorkelling, but the vision was a little mirky, but still visible. We had some great days for swimming and lucky no windy days like you did.
Thank you for taking us along on your Magnetic Island Adventure. You have inspired us to spend a week on Magnetic Island. I believe you don't need a car on the island as there are hop on and off shuttle buses. We look forward to hiking, spotting Koalas and feeding the rock wallabies. Yeah! Awesome vlog video.
Hi guys, your videos are great so much info! I’m planning a trip with my partner next July. But can’t decide with either 2 weeks tropical North Queensland or 2 weeks from Sydney to Gold Coast. What would you recommend? And all in a hired camper van!
Hey thanks for the lovely message. We would have to go with Tropical North Queensland for that time of year. The weather will be very predictable up there, I’d say mostly sunny with cool nights. Plus I think you would see a lot more bang for your buck up there. You could spend two weeks alone seeing waterfalls in the Atherton Tablelands. But a nice little road trip from say Townsville up to Daintree would cover it all 😊 all the best for your trip!
Hey Gordon, we highly recommend visiting Magnetic Island because it is just so stunning. You could easily spend your 5 days there. You may have to wear a stinger suit if you go snorkelling though. We didn’t have calm waters when we were there unfortunately, the wind stirred up all the sediment and we couldn’t snorkel but we heard it is possible right off a couple of beaches. If you wanted to explore the mainland too, Castle Hill is in town and a great view. Also further up the highway is Paluma National Park and Jourama Falls (the following vlog) was just incredible! A huge open playground to explore
@@94vrcommodore just to go to Jourama Falls is an easy one, I think about 1km. But you can camp in the NP campsite very close by. I think you could easily spend all day exploring up the falls though. It’s one of those multi tiered ones with lagoons in each section 🤩
Not sure where you got your information from but there is no recorded history that I am aware of that the observation posts on Magnetic Island were ever manned by women. You may want to check that information before posting it.

I’ve booked a trip to Townsville for 5 days around Christmas and what are your recommendations for a first time visitor?

@@cjexplores ok. Thanks for your tip. Will do Magnetic island, Castle hill hike and go to the National park. How long are the hiking trails of paluma?

Hi Melson, this information was signposted inside the buildings actually! Maybe they need updating if you are correct 🤔
