For context: The guy who scored the OT goal for Skellefteå was Andreas Johnsson (ex Leafs and Devils) who played for Frölunda for his whole life before he joined the Leafs organization. His father Jonas Johnsson is a club legend at Frölunda. So when Andreas came back to Sweden this winter everyone expected him to go to Frölunda but instead he joined Skellefteå to play with his brother Jonathan. With that in mind, lets just say Frölunda fans didn't appreciate his wild celebration after that goal.
As a Skellefteå AIK supporter I was thrilled to see you guys getting tickets to this game. We had a full bus coming down from Stockholm, and also quite a few flying down from Skellefteå which is located 800km north of Stockholm. It was a nice bus ride home afterwards, back in Sthlm around 05:30 in the morning.😎 One of the penalties in overtime was for too many players on the ice, it was not the goalie shooting the puck out of bounds. You should come to Skellefteå for the next game!
Ah! Too many men- makes sense. I didn't see the goalie shoot the puck over the glass, but I saw Frolunda trying to figure out who to send to the box, and I just guessed. Anyway, GREAT GAME! I'm sure the bus ride home was great. I can imagine you all cheering and chanting in the bus lol.

Dude, your vids are awesome! Great content with just the right amount of home town bias! :) This is a couple of days late but an observation from first game in Scandinavium: You made a point about a canadian connection to Frölunda but did you miss the maple leaf in the Skellefteå Badge? Yes, Skellefteå AIK was founded with the original AIK in Stockholm as a model, but the hockey team also adopted a form of maple leaf into its logo. It is not really well documented why they did that. But I always heard it was as an homage to Canadian hockey. Anyway game 6 is hopefully as entertaining as the last three games, if possible. Hoping for another vid of it, and a Skellefteå win ;)
So happy you were able to attend this game. I've seen a couple of your videos and during this game i thought about you and crossed my fingers you were there. Happy for you guys, what a great experience!

Very interesting to watch an NHL fan watch Swedish hockey. I was expecting more comparisons to how games are in North America. Maybe you can integrate that angle more in future videos.
You should make a follow up video while watching game 5 tomorrow on TV :D We have been down 3-1 to Skellefteå before and turned it around and won OT in game seven! Not impossible

Great enthusiasim and a nice video. Fröunda did put a REALLY good fight that series but, in the end, Skellefteå went on to secure their fourth title. Met the team on the Saturday after the final game against Rögle and let me tell you, they had been partying HARD. Haha. One of them had a surgery on the Friday, went to party the same day and then on the Saturday as well (when I met him). Then he said: "But I'll rest tomorrow, then we're going abroad with the team so then it's another week of partying.". Heja Skellefteå!
