Playing Canon Rock at my sister's wedding

- Congrats again to my sister Ashley for her marriage to Benji!
So I only had about two weeks to learn this before the wedding, and I had to perform it in-front of about 150 people (I hadn't played to a crowd since high school back in 2013). I made A LOT of mistakes even though my practice runs were a bit better, but everyone seemed to enjoy the performance and that really helped with the nerves. Once I master it, I want to make a proper TH-cam cover; those sweeps will be conquered.
This was filmed in Feb before the covid-19 virus reached Australia.

There have been a few questions and discussions about what version of Canon Rock this is, so here's the answer: The backing track that I played to was supplied by Jerry C from many years ago, and I based this performance off his original version. Of course I made my own adjustments here and there, but the bulk is based on Jerry C's video with some personal tweaking
Unless your a musician, I don't think you could understand how much it takes to learn a piece of music like that then practice, practice, practice, then nail it and then try and nail it again in front of a crowd and not let pressure or nerves get the better of you. You have my respect.
You killed it bro!!! Thanks for making our wedding awesome! ❤
To play this on you tube is one thing. To play it with a difference on you tube is another. To play it live in front of a proper audience and not balls it up totally is epic. Deep respect.
it was so nice of you to let your sister have her wedding at your show! :D
That one lady thought it was Good but not good enough to stop eating lol
I started to cry just imaginen my son play this in his sister wedding. And he is only 6 and my daugther is 4!! Jaja God bless you dude.
killer performance dude, great job! Jerry C would be proud

Idk why but it sounds like a perfect instrumental for a Green Day's song
Dude, you fricken slayed it! Major props to you. Must've felt amazing to nail that song on your sister's special day.
Still in awe. I am immensely proud of you. Always am :')
That is the sweetest thing ever!!! Your great guitar play and the fact that you played it at your sister's wedding is just.... ohhhh... one hell of a brother. Ur sister must be so proud of you
Such a clean performance for being live! Looking forward to your "Studio"-Version :D
Bro really said “I’m gonna give it a good attempt” and then just flashed everybody with a unbelievable performance! Killed it!
Your sister is blessed to have a cool brother like you! Congratulations!!
Huge respect for this amazing cover mate,I bet that this was your sister's best wedding present!
man i remember being in highschool when i first watched canon rock and its still one of my favourite cover pieces ever
He started sounding like budding guitarist at a wedding to show off his skills but when he hit his first note I knew he is talented.
I got second hand anxiety thinking about playing that in front of a crowd after a bet from years and years ago lmao incredible composure, absolutely killed it
What a performance, we are so thrilled from the beginning, but the lady at the table realized only after few quick gobbles, if I was performing at that time I would wait till the end of her eating.
