Saaaaame! I used to listen to like 16-17 years ago and I still love his stuff! Makes me so happy to still see him doing what he clearly loves doing 💗 and! The best part, he's bringing back a song that ever electric guitarist always craved to learn in the early 2000's because, it was and still is a badass tune!!!
Man it feels nostalgic, When he did this 10 years ago, I was in awe and started to play the guitar (especially fingerstyle), I know my skills aren't godly as his, but he's the reason why I strive to do better everyday in my passion as a guitarist. :)
In the same boat as you man. I loved his cover of this song but I only had an acoustic for the first 5ish years of my playing and I played a lot of fingerstyle. Last december I started learning canon rock and using a pick for pretty much the first time (which i've gotten used to way faster than i expected, and hybrid picking feels natural thanks to playing so much fingerstyle) so seeing this just got me in the feels. Gotta go watch the old cover again now

You can see how much he enjoy playing based on his facial expressions despite playing a very hard arrangement which means he really love what he's doing. He's the epitome of a true guitarist.
He's asian, don't forget. Able to disconnect facial expressions. But he's a true musician, I agree, and I love him and I went to his concert when he came to my country.

Jerry C has produced something that is not easily swallowed by the times .. Canon rock is a work that to this day is still a reference for young guitarists ..the best arrangement ever..
There are plenty guitarists who play better than JC but the song will always be known as JC arranged.

Dude can play this same song forever and I'd still never get tired of it. It's astounding how many variations of this classical piece he can come up with when playing
after 10 years, everything changed but the feels is just the same your still a legend.
When I was young and watched him play mission impossible and pirates of the carriabean theme songs I was blown away. I would watch all his covers and even wished to God that he become really famous and really good. I lost belief but he still made it. He is born a legend, my hero.
I remember picking up the guitar at 19 years old and thought I was gonna be awesome. Like everyone I turned to TH-cam and the first thing you watch is FunTwo's rendition of this song and thinking I can do that in a few years no problem. Then you search some more and found this kid, this little Korean kid that just plays like a little angel. All the songs you are struggling with note by note he's playing it flawlessly in fingerstyle. I remember thinking this is unfair, how can anyone be this gifted, why wasn't I? lol. And look at him now! A full grown man and still playing like a chad. Bravo sir, I salute you! Especially since, even though I never really gave up, and definitely put in my hours, am nowhere near you, nor will I ever come close to what you did as a 6 year old.

I could learn it, and be semi good at it but I haven't really been playing a lot the past 5 or 6 years so it'll take me a couple of months to do it right and get my fingers flexible again. In the end it's all about how much time and effort you put into it. For me I guess it took about 5 or 6 years to reach a level where this was doable, albeit not perfectly. Keep in mind I put in a lot of hours into FL Studio where I wouldn't play guitar all the time.

I was in high school when he first played this and i still remember most of the comments there adored his clock on the wall behind. Oh time flies ❤
I remember how long his fingers were as a kid, but those hands now that he's fully grown are something else. So long and slender but you can really see the strength in them when he does a bend. Its funny to think that we're pretty close in age and I grew up watching your musical progression, but when I stumble upon your new videos I cant' help but think "where has the time gone". As someone who was inspired by your musical journey and has long since stopped playing seriously, it makes me really happy to see you still loving what you do. Can't think of a more humble or more deserving person to have had the career you've been able to.

When his orginal cover was released I was in grade school, I was so inspired that I said I will practice hard to be able to play Canon Rock someday, 9 years later, I don't play guitar anymore, I am in college and I have no time for this anymore. It's good to remember the memories when we didn't have any problems and we had all the time in the world. Thinking back, a lot has changed and it is noce that Sunha is still passionate about guitar. 🤘

The nostalgia of this song stretches back the 10 years since he released the first video--but I can't help but extend that all the way to watching JerryC when I was 8 years old and making it my life's goal to play like him. This song is the reason I picked up the guitar and have played so diligently to this day.
