I bought a 2020 YZ125 because of this video, and the ones that follow. Thank you UAN91 for kindly giving all of your jetting and suspension numbers. I weight the same as you do, and this has really helped simplify things. I really appreciate it, and you.
Ahh thats too cool. I still have my 2021 YZ125 and love that bike. Amazing bike actually. Did you change out the springs to the suspension too? Glad to hear these videos helped you, thanks for letting me know!
@@UpAllNight91 I just watched this series again, and could not find the specifics on your suspension tuning. I got 2019 YZ250 front fork springs, and the same YZ250 rear spring. Do you have notes on the 21/your wives bike suspension tuning? I also weight 150. All i could find in your series is that you like the forks showing 8mm in the clamps. Thank you!
@@aklaunch Hello. Yes. I have since slightly modified the settings on both the bikes and improved them from the original settings we where using. The current settings I am using on both my 21 and my wifes 19 are the following... Rear shock... 8 clicks rebound 7 clicks low speed compression 1-3/10th of a turn high speed comopression Static sag (I didnt record this, let me check later today and report back) Front forks... 315cc outer chamber fork oil volume 7mm fork height 11-10 clicks compression (11 on one fork leg and 10 on the other for a splitting hair setting) 11-10 clicks rebound (11 on one fork leg and 10 on the other for a splitting hair setting) I will check the static sag later on when I get into the shop.
@@aklaunch Hello. Sorry for late response. The static sag is 32mm. Thats checked and set the way I do it in the suspension series, by pushing down and taking a reading then pull up and taking a reading. At 150 pounds rider, static of 32mm is spot on with these YZ125's. But from there you can fine tune it a little taller or lower to your taste, but it wont be much if any changes from that are needed.
They are not really much different than ktm or husky. But I do like how they have kept their smokers carburetor instead of going to the fuel injection like ktm and husky. Fuel injection is good on the 4 strokes but is kinda unnecessary on a smoker. There's no realy advantage of FI on a smoker, as of yet. So for that I give Gas Gas a leg up over KTM and husky. I also like the color red better than the ktm orange and huskys weird colors they are currently using.
@@bunnyman6321 ahh thanks, therapy is a good thing and part of my goal! Thats good to hear. My favorite rider of all would probably be Ricky Carmichael. But there are so many I admire, including Bubba Stewart, Cooper Webb, Tomac of course, and even Roczen. Travis, you name it. Not many I don't like lol

Can’t wait for these videos 😂🤙🏻
Yes sir! Shoot I can't wait to ride it when its finished 🤪
Very Very Kind. Thank you so much for sharing your hard earned data. Such a gift! Very thankful here.
Ahh Thanks. Thanks for watching these and coming along. Appreciate you!
The steering stem on the 125 is also about a quarter inch shorter
That is correct. Mainly they lifted the bottom clamp compared to the 250. I imagine for more fork flex?
How you like Gas Gas 2 strokes?

@@UpAllNight91 I never thought about the fi system like on ktm and Husky. Thanks for sharing!
This channel is pure therapy!
