The first time I watched this video was back in 2008 when the TV in a gunpla section of Joshin electronic store showed this exact same promotional video for MG Impulse. Watching this as an 11 y/o got me quite hyped as I only knew Gundam SEED from the game I played on PSP. I knew nothing about the storyline of SEED Destiny at the time but knew Kira to be the best MS pilot of the show. So when I saw this vid showing off how excellent of an ace pilot Shinn really is, quickly pulling off the docking mechanics, overwhelming the Dagger squad, going toe to toe with Kira's Freedom, one that survived SEED's climax Second Battle of Jachin Due, it really gave me such a strong impression on Shinn, the way he used Impulse in this vid made me think how smart and analytical Shinn should be. But I was too naive at the time thinking the same visual effects would be seen in the actual anime. You could imagine the disappointment I had when I decided to watch the anime lol. This promotional video made Shinn and the fighting sequence look so cool, whereas the anime resorted to so many repeated or copy-pasted scenes and Shinn had a number of brain-dead moments resorting to rage and losing his cool in the show. Don't get me wrong though, up to this day I still like this show for its amazing MS designs and cool OP/ED themes, and really felt bad for Shinn with the way they ended it. It's just watching this video before the actual show has set my expectations a bit too high lol.
I don't recall any other MG before or after this having this amount of hype assigned to it, to have a full music video of the MS in action, complete with arguably the hypest opening song in the franchise. I mean, other openings might be better, but I've listened to all of them, and nothing else but Invoke, both of Wing's openings, and Flying in the Sky comes close to matching the energetic hype of Ignited
I don't know the reason why so many people Hated the Seed Series For me it's one of the Best it Has the Best Mecha Designs ,Best Action Scenes and Has Good Drama Too , Had So Many Amazing Songs and the Cast are Voice Actors and Actresses who were Newbies during That Time but now they are the Proud Professional and now the Sempai's of the Newer Generation of Voice Actors and Actresses and they still have good Voice Acting Skills and Great Roles I just Don't understand why it's been Degraded by many , as a kid born in the mid 90's Gundam Seed Series was far the Best Gundam Series I Have Ever Watched on T.V. there was still not much internet back then when you want to watch Anime you need to be Home by the time it Aired,for me MSGS series was one of the Best Experience in my Life i think it's around 49 or 50ish episodes per season so it took me 2 years to finish the Whole Series on just watching it on local Television 📺
There is a case which we don't know. It was Fukuda having affair with Shindou Naomi and sleep together. That's where the story of Seed Destiny got wrecked in half episode.
It's intro is potentially a good sequel, but somehow the reappearance of Kira's Gang derails the plot a lot (plus reused scene) kinda make it a very comfusing Gundam show. It's not bad as WFM season 2 tho

destiny broke whatever made it good in peoples minds i guess
