But now I see comments like yours and I'm convinced that either the name changed on it's way from NYC, or we had a different Smurf outcheah.
SO WHAT IS A SMURF MOVE FOR CHRIST'S SAKE thats the 20th video i watch to find out what was the original smurf move, and i only find guyz dancing weird and people from the 80's sayin "nope, that's not my good old smurf" SO WHAT ?!!!!!!
@@quentincaille6131 The Smurf I know was more like a crossover side step to the right, then a bent leg toe tap with the right leg. Then 2 crossover steps to the left and a bent leg toe tap with the left leg.

I witnessed The real smerf dance is on The Soul Train line dancing video's! Unfortunately I can't find it now but it was on there too many Soul Train video's awesome dope show ALL TIME! Hint: Three dancers were in sync doing the ORIGINAL SMERF DANCE! Good luck finding it or maybe it was taken down for copyright law for music. Peace Love & Soooooul Train!

Many of us wore out some SERIOUS dance hall tiles and we'll remember these moves better than riding a bike. Here's what you do.... If you want to learn the Smurf, get around some 50 year olds and play the song "I Feel For You" by Chaka Khan. Then just give'em about 1 minute and they'll perform like animals at the zoo... LOL
That's not the Smurf we didin Richmond Va. I watch the young people trying to teach dances from back in the day, and they miss it time after time. But they're trying so kudos! For real, those of us who lived in those eras really know....💁🏾♀️ If you want to see the dances and how they were done back in the day, just watch the old Soul train shows. Not the soul train line. The show with the dancers on the floor. Everyone on the floor would do them 🙂
