I just recently purchased the SLA047J1 MM300 and am extremely impressed and satisfied with this watch. The best watch I’ve ever owned and nothing compares to it .
This is the best Seiko dive watch without a doubt. You need to live with it to appreciate it. I have the SLA021J for 3 years now and accuracy is same since day 1. Excellent video by the way.
I totally agree. I've had an 021 for a year or so and it's become my go to watch. I have been merciless with it, including body surfing with the Kids and clattering it on pebbles etc. Barely a mark. It's difficult to explain why it feels so good to wear, and also it needs some user time on the wrist to fully enjoy it - first feeling is wow its heavy, but that dissappear quickly. The micro adjust is great for hot days and cold days as my wrist swells up. I like its quiet and unassuming looks. But most of all I like the feeling of total quality it gives the wearer. I have much more expensive watches that don't feel this special to wear. I'd urge anyone thinking to try one on - definitely wear smaller than the specs suggest. My SKX wears bigger.
Thanks for sharing! It’s a beautiful piece. I am slimming down my collection and this one is as far away from the chopping block as can be 😂 Enjoy your watch! Would love to hear from you again in the comment next year about how you are enjoying it a year later from now :D
@@nexttimewatchreview will do. At the moment, I can't see my feelings changing. If anything, the MM300 has halted my new watch enthusiasm. I've always liked Seikos and older pieces are what I'm looking at now - maybe a Pogue?
Very nice in depth review! I like it how you broke down the different levels of finish, it's not often you see that. I've got a few Seiko divers but none in this price category and the MM 300 is a very attractive piece!
Oh yes, I totaly agree with you, it´s the best diver you can get for the money! I have my one for a month and it becomes a part of my body after 10 minutes and it won´t change till today! Is it worth buying seiko marinemaster in comparison to tudor pelagos and omega seamaster?what about build quality of the seiko?any issues while using the watch?what about build quality of the watch?any special maintenance needed for the watch?
Hi, for me I love this Seiko more than the Tudor Pelagos and Omega Seamaster for one simple reason, case design complexity and fluidity. Both the other two watch have simple case design that is in my opinion “blocky”. The build quality of this watch is awesome! I found no QC issues on this and I have not had any trouble with this watch while using it. I get about +5 seconds per day accuracy. As for servicing, all MM300 will need to be sent to Japan for servicing according to my AD. You can send it via your local AD. The suggested interval is 5 years I believe. I think it is worth it if you’re just looking for a rugged watch and don’t care about resale value. Thanks for watching!
@@nexttimewatchreview Seiko are ok but not as good as Tudor, the Tudor in house movements are amazing with accuracy if my Tudor black bay gained 5 seconds a day I would want to know what was wrong with it I have had a number of Seiko watches,I wear my Tudor all the time no matter what I am doing
Especially love the monocoque case. The entire movement is fitted/removed from the dial side. Very elegant and eliminates entirely the possibility of a leaking gasket on the caseback.
Its way too tall. The new SLA055 should be released in black and blue with a bracelet. I would buy that. My two MM200s are better fitting watches but with lesser movements So basically my seamaster 300 and sub date are still the best to me.
Since it is a Seiko I'm sure you could do a 10 year review and it will still be ticking.
Hahahaha! This is the best comment so far. I’ll drop a ten year follow up in 8 years 😉
My SKX is at least six years old and is still working just as good as the day i bought it!

love the review. Try using blu tack to clean the dust off your watches before filming. It will look much more pro
Thank you! I have been looking for a solution to that. Will try it out 😊
Great work! what do you think of the copies from Heimdallr? I've had another version, and at the price they are mindblowing...

+5 seconds a day? thats rough, my SLA023J1 is running at +2 in real world use

Its a Seiko dive watch that looks like every other Seiko dive watch.
Too expensive too average.
