Peter Jöback did the voice and songs in Aladddin in Swedish. He has also done Phantom on the opera both in London and I think in New York as well!
yeah, he did both the speaking and singing voice for the Swedish version.
My grandpa was the only one who stayed, his six brothers all left for the US during the great migration. Some survived and have decendants in Pittsburgh and Minnesota, some deceased while searching for the dream. This song awakens something in me.
This particular concert, with the cast from Kristina från Duvemåla, was made infront of Swedish decendants in America. The song "Du måste finnas" med Helen Sjöholm is from the same concert. In the audiens you will see Björn Ulveus and Benny Andersson (from ABBA) who wrote the musical. Björn and Benny introduced to the audiens the story and history behind the lyrics and the musical. I remember there was a tv program here in Sweden filming Björn and Bennys journey and the making of the musical. The final was this concert for Swedish decendants.
On the first premiere in Malmö/Sweden was a special guest invited, "Kristina" herself (her name in the musica)l. She died in 2005.
Hi from Sweden. This is a musical from 1995 and Peter is Roberth here who is Karl- Oskars brother and Karl-Oskar is Kristinas husband . And the man he sings about is his friend Arvid that died when They sought Gold , yes Peter was Alladin in Sweden 🇸🇪 Merry Christmas and have a wonderful new year ♥️
Love the musical, sadly I was only 3 years when this was in malmö. (Around 1995 they played Kristina from duvemåla)
Yes peter jöback played the voice of Aladdin😊
If you can find "så som I himmelen " (as in heaven ) the musical w English subtitle)
The person who make the introduction is Björn in ABBA
Maybe something from Tommy J and his humor 🥳🎸
He did aladdin in sweden whit text and the same music but in the sweden lango
I'm impressed that you pronounced Kristina från Duvemåla that good. Most English speaker are 100% lost when they se an å but you did very well :)
Oh, thanks! I thought I was butchering it 😅
You need to introduce him to Sabaton 😊
Christina från Duvemåla are swedish true cult. It's about Sweden in a hard time when people starved an had no jobs. They who could went to USA the land of glory where anything was possible.
Before this musical - there is a book and then a movie abour this Raskens. It's all history and real
come on. the aspect ratio of the original video here is very very bad. it is supposed to be 4:3 and no 20:1 or something like that
I'd love to use the normal one but it keeps getting blocked, so I prefer this than blurring it out
