To me the sweet spot would be 80 bhp, 80 Nm, 180 kg including all the juices. Everybody who says he / she needs more on a public road is bluffing.

      Make it a 100bhp

@@kankit230 OK, if you insist. My favorite bike only has about 58 bhp (Honda NT650GT Hawk). I never miss anything. But then I am not into traffic light sprints.🙂

...If I was going off road as well as some road and aiming at under 50hp I'd go either for a honda nx500 rally raid or if on a budget a cheap and cheerful cfmoto 450mt instead of that Himalayan check those specs out guys... You'll be surprised.

Good luck to Honda in finding four million buyers for E-bikes. I won’t be one of them. Anyway, if we all need to reduce our carbon footprint, then maybe curtail this curious habit many people have: flying thousands of miles in aeroplanes just to sit by some pool - totally unnecessary… 😜

I had a lot of loud bikes. I liked it. Don't have much hearing any more and I would like to maintain the little hearing I have. I remember when Even & Charlie announced their long way up on Live Wires. I laughed because I live in Argentina. We are lucky if the lights are on all day. The live wires managed to blow out the lights in a small town. Just replaced the muffler on my 250. The innards blew out completely. My nephew found me a lightly used stock muffler. I love it.

Hi guys. Just found you, great video,, one thing I do disagree with that you say your "not bothered with" is tpms, I am on my 3rd on its way from ebay at £22... Knowing my tyre pressures at a glance is brilliant, had slow leak on front of my 98 Fazer 600. She is getting new aluminium radiator fitted by Dog's in Burnham, waiting for a pipe, doing my head in not being able to ride, though the storms outside means not riding much.. Cheers guys... from Greg with the Fazer in Zummerset SW UK.

It’s a big miss! They should have built the 450 big first and hired a big name rider to go into MXGP and Supercross like Ducati’s path. If they don’t win 🥇 quickly they will be done. They already delayed Supercross 250 until Detroit round. I don’t think they’ll make it. Huge inventory and price cuts coming

I'm 68 and LOVE loud exhausts. Power wise I've always said very few riders can manage more than 130hp. 100-125hp is around the best compromise and power one can use on the road.

I ride a BMW X 650 single, 52HP, 350 lbs with Scorpion exhaust. Awesome bike and buckets of fun.

Honda had/have the best compromise with the NC type engine but moto journalists panned it for years until it has become an irrelevance to Honda where even when they had the patent for a new engine which could have become the Transalp they choked. Ironically journos are now more likely to praise the NC (see Knox and mossy).

Really interesting vid guys. I think the time of loud exhausts has already come & fair enough. Typically when I was a lot younger I wanted the loudest can possible but not for a long time now. Personally I chose cans mainly on looks & weight saving these days. As for electric bikes, less said the better as still not a serious prospect yet but it'll happen. Perfect power for the road is about 100rwbhp if the bike weighs about 200kg or less. Although you can have great fun with far less, say 40bhp, if it's light enough & has good suspension & brakes etc.

I think you miss in two major areas of electric bikes 1) Weight and packaging which is not going to resolved for a while solid state battery are not coming yet 2) Range anxiety.

The worst noise offenders are 125 riders that try to make their bikes sound more powerful, sounds f’ing horrible.

Electric cars, lawnmowers can also catch on fire. I’m not comfortable keeping these E products in my garage.

Same. I have more fear of an electric bike in my garage than a fully fuelled sports bike.

I have kept all the nine Kawasakis I have ever owned exhaust system stock, even my Wiseco 1135cc '84 GPz1100, with the DFI retained, which was a real sleeper. They all still sounded great.

I've never seen the point of giving the cops manning a speed trap advance notice that you're batting down the ring road at a dodgy speed. But the flip side is silence is dangerous too, silent EVs

I've got a baffled Comp Werkes on my Speed Triple, and I think its the perfect level. It pops once on an aggressive decel, but that's it. Not too noisy on the revs and doesn't take up any space, just a little coffee can on the bottom of the bike.

I bought a Harley ST in 2022 and the only problem was the exhaust note was supper quiet, I got cut up in Boston and the driver said I didn’t see, or hear me, I have retro fitted some Rinehart racing, louder slip ons, not obnoxious but louder. Loud pipes can save lives. With all the distractions for drivers, we need all the help we can get.
