Looks lovely on you! The shade labeling is the same as MAC (it's from an artist color point where say yellow/green is "cool" and red/pink is "warm"). However, yes it's annoying nonetheless 😅
I wasn’t initially interested in this foundation but I keep hearing about olive undertones which has me intrigued. Having an olive undertone I gave up a long time ago on finding a matching foundation which is why I usually stick to sheer complexion products. Anyway I’m happy I was able to rewatch this and hear that it worked nicely for you so I’m going to try it. Thanks for the video!
More and more companies are doing olive undertones lately, so don't give up. I love this foundation! I think Kosas (which I also like, but can't find a good shade for) also has olive.
i also have a pretty strong olive undertone and more medium than light skin. Dior has great olive shades (i use 3 warm olive) Kosas Revelaer 210, Haus Labs in 260, Yves Saint Laurent in MW7, Makeup by Mario 12 olive, Armani in shade 6, Estee Lauder Futurist in Cashew, Valentino in MN3...there's many but there's always room for improvement
It really does look pretty on you. Looking through the color shades, holy cow where will I begin?! After looking at this on you I would really like to try this, but the shades. You aren’t kidding. Anyway, thank you for this review I’m looking for another foundation right now because the Shiseido one I really liked doesn’t have my color anymore which I liked. If that made sense. Thank you!
Ur skin is beautiful. Without makeup. And with the foundation you looked amazing it really suited you. And your red lipstick. Your hair is luscious and beautiful too 😍
Love the second 'look' absolutely beautiful .... you glow, yet subtle, look like a make-up model. Don't talk colours, I hate choosing, end up mixing this with 'that'
I was hoping you would do a review of this. It looks lovely. I'm confused about the shades online so I'd have to see them in person. Nonsensical is the perfect word for it! I really want to try this foundation.
When I was getting my images for the thumbnail, I noticed there's a colorwheel on the Sephora site that's pretty good. Had I know about it I may have asked for different shades when I was in store. As it was, I left it to the SA to select shades for me because the line is so confusing. Check out that colorwheel. They have something like 14 images on Sephora for this product and I found it there...it's one of the last images, so you don't see it, it's hidden.
Is there any chance you can make a video of your favorite products? Like one favorite pick of each category and 2 honorable mentions Those are my fav videos thank you
The second makeup look is so gorgeous for fall and my favorite shades of plums/purples ❤️ I tried the Pat McGrath recently in a sample and my eyes watered for about 2-3 hours which is a shame as it was such a good color match! I have such a hard time getting shade matched.
I tried it for a day last week, and it made my skin itch, too. Too bad because I liked the look it gave my nearly 67 y.o. skin here in hot, humid SoFla. But the itchiness made it a big "no" for me.
I wear 130 and it fits perfect, I thought the same thing as you but it’s perfect for me right now…..probably in July I will need 145. I love Haus Labs foundation I also purchased the blush and I love them!!!
I got 145 light cool and it’s my skin in a bottle, best match ever I had online! Love this foundation glad I do because I’m in the UK and can’t return it because it would cost me too much shipping it back to the US
I have seen several reviews of this foundation that have shown mixed results. I feel like this one is beautiful on you. It really works well under your eyes making the bags so much less noticeable. If ai were you, I would skip concealer and just use this under the eyes because it looks so much better. I dont really have a lot of darkness under me eyes but at 48 I am starting to get puffy under eyes. My mom has them bad so I feel that those are in my future as well. I try using concealer and I haven't found one yet that doesn't make my under eyes look worse. I find lines that I didn't even have when I use concealers but good foundations under the eyes don't seem to bring out the lines. After seeing how beautiful this is in you, I am going to give this one a try. Thanks for all your great content! Look forward to your next video. I am curious what kind of climate you live in. I live in the south with awful humidity so that poses a lot of challenges with longevity of makeup.
I'm in Los Angeles, though I think was super humid on the first day. When I checked my magnified mirror at 11pm - it still looked great so you might do well with it under humid conditions.
Skin looks amazing! The shade description is puzzling. I am also a light/medium neutral and I was going to select 160. Now I'm not sure...I may have to go swatch in the store.
I picked up the 160 light neutral i haven't worn it yet but I compared on my arm to my Mac nw15 looked the same. I wear neutrals warms cools, I even have the time ford fawn which is olive under. I am able to wear a variety of shades 🤷🏼♀️
Your skin looks so beautiful in this that I would be willing to mix shades and just not worry about the denatured alcohol unless it proved a problem. You take such good care of your skin that I would doubt an ingredient that is 10 down the list will have any impact but I know that you know your skin the best. I am blessed in that I don't have to worry much about some ingredients as my skin is not particularly sensitive. I am very fair with neutral undertones and I swatched this when I was in Vancouver, BC. I like that she has a foundation that is essentially white as I find those great to mix in other foundations that are just too dark. I didn't buy it because I had seen Angie's video and she didn't like it at all. I will have to try and get a sample to give it a try. Thank you for the video. You look wonderful and I always love a brighter lipstick. I am not much of a nude lipstick lover, especially as I have gotten older. I feel like a nice bright shade just wakes the face up, especially since with my hooded eyes I don't really do a lot of colorful eye looks.
I've been researching this foundation and watched a lot of vidros on it. You're the first person that has mentioned alcohol denat in the ingredients (I missed it when I loiked at the list). I have rosacea and historicallt alcohol denat has always caused my redness to flare up. So i do wonder if arnica would balance it out, but on the other hand wht would they put it in the foundation knkwing that a lot of people dont tolerate it (it can be drying too). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
It is beautiful! The denatured alcohol listed as 10 ingredient is pretty far down compared to other “amazing” foundations that usually have it as third or fourth ingredient. Actually not thrilled with all those other ingredients 😮 If you use it as a once in awhile foundation, it is probably ok.

Your skin looks absolutely stunning. I’m bummed about the alcohol denat and couldn’t find/figure out a shade to save my life. After seeing this in you, I think I’m going to try it as a “special occasion” foundation. Thank you for the awesome review.
Check the photos on the Sephora site. There are about 13 on the page for this foundation - if you click through them, you'll find a color wheel that I didn't find until I was putting my thumbnail together. It should be helpful finding a color.
Thank you so much for this review. It was so helpful! I’ve got one question if you happen to have some time to answer. I’ve got a MUFE reboot foundation and wonder what main differences between these two, and if it’s worth buying this new foundation. You mentioned in the video this haus labs’ has more buildable coverage, but if I’m not necessarily looking for higher coverage, what are the other things I could consider? Thanks again for great content!
Haus has more coverage than Reboot - I can get medium coverage with one pump. Haus does have alcohol which can be drying, while the Reboot does not. My face is always shiny when I apply make-up but my guess it Haus is more of a natural finish than Reboot. That's about all I can think of. Hope it helps!
I am a foundation junkie. I love this foundation but can’t get a good color match. I was even willing to buy two but that did not work out either. Still the winners for me is Giorgio Armani, Chanel No.1, La Mer although I have to mix two shades and Chantecaille.
Thanks for a great review! I am new to your channel and wonder if you get to know the Koh Gen Do Acqua Foundation… somehow the finish of the Hauslabs reminds of the Acqua which has great and good ingredients. Your skin looks amazing!
I have the old Aqua, before the reformulation - but it doesn't have much coverage - I think the Haus Labs has far better coverage. So it depends on what kind of coverage you prefer.
Hi Kiki and happy belated birthday! You and your skin look amazing! Esp the mix on day 2!!! Have you swatched 160 - I have that one and found it more neutral than 145. Anyway, thanks for the review and I truly think that Day 2 looked Fabulous!
I would recommend trying the 160 or even 175 - neither are deeper than the 145 yet they’re both much more neutral (I thought the 145 was very mustardy-yellow and green on me!!) The powder too is amazing . . . With the foundation ! I don’t work for them or have anything to do with the cosmetics industry, only a picky, 59-year-old woman who has a hard-to-match skintone!
Day 2 looks gorgeous! Bummer on the denatured alcohol. I just can’t go there! I got a sample of 110 and 130. 110 turned a little green on me, but I liked 130’stone just wish it was lighter.
when I have the right tone - but too much depth, I mix with something to lighten it up (my brain is on hold for the moment - but it's from Chanel, in the white bottle)
I want to try this foundation because it looks so beautiful! However, I had a strong reaction to alcohol denat in the Armani luminous silk foundation. It looked great but it made my skin tingle, then burn and itch. If that’s the case with this, hard pass.
I reacted to the Armani Luminous Silk but maybe it was because of the fragrance in it. I tried this Haus Labs foundation on my face in a Sephora store and it seemed okay on my face, and so I ordered a bottle, but now you all have me second-guessing myself and afraid to try it. :)
@@Lisa_Petrison give it a try. Personal update: I tried a sample of the Haus Labs foundation and luckily I did not have a similar reaction to the Armani foundation
I've noticed foundations with alcohol are more transfer resistant and longer wearing, so if you avoid this ingredient, you may sacrifice the durability...
Skin looks absolutely flawless, Kiki. Maybe wear only once in a while so no daily exposure to alcohol denat? Although I just watched another influencer say that yet another TH-camr (who I don’t follow) originally liked it, then didn’t and posted a subsequent negative review. Haus Labs asked if they could use the original positive review in their marketing and she said no, but they used it anyway. If this is true, in this world of misinformation, I don’t like that one bit.
Chanel No 1 is thicker - this is thin and one pump can do the whole face depending on your application. Funny you should ask because I returned the Chanel because it was too light B20 but B30 to dark. Now that it's Fall, I'm thinking for getting the Chanel again!
Pretty foundation but on my drier skin it didn't last even 1/2 a work day, plus as you said poor shades for fair-since when is neutral peach or yellow? Too bad as the foundation looks so beautiful initially.
@@TheHoodedLid It also went slightly dry around my mouth area. My forehead looked great though! Speaks volumes when you're still using products like Reboot-which i've never tried but will.

Arnica when applied topically sinks into the skin and reduces inflammation, induces healing on bruises and can help transdermally for pain.
