I have a theory that the aperture desk job is from the same timeline as portal 1 and 2, it would be the before, because remember that the first toilet threw everything at the beginning? so whoever had these ideas of creating the turret must have been from the player and grady, in other words. the creators who created the idea of the turret to exist was that of grady and the unnamed player. so this is before portal 1. so the name would be... portal 0?
Wonder when exactly this takes place... Obviously it has to be after Cave died due to moon rock poison, so some time in the 90's - 2000's I guess... but his office still has the 70's Aperture aesthetic. And wasn't it established that the engineers couldn't figure out how to get his consciousness into a computer before he died, so Caroline ended up with that "privilege"? Ah well, I'll just chalk it up as being non-canon.
