@@Kitsushiki For reference, one normal nail attack does: 5 -> 9 -> 13 -> 17 -> 21 (depending how many times you upgraded it). So yeah 60 is a lot of dmg.

Awesome tip to fight lost kin, just use the dung defender charm, it’s called defender’s crest I think, it will basically kill all the little ghosts he spawns when they get close to you since they only have 1HP
A quick word of advice, the rewards you get from the colosseum of fools is well worth the entry price. Also the shopkeepers’ key can get you some good stuff if you give it to the right person. Good luck! And always remember, a true servant gives all for the kingdom.
@ A true servant gives all for the Kingdom, have faith in our Pale King and ye shall be rewarded. As far as the key goes there’s only one person who wants it, he’s a little too greedy to offer a reward but it does unlock some stuff for you

Aye bro this is an amazing video, but one thing ‘dive’ or desolate dive/descending dark will give you some invincibility frames, which are incredibly powerful I have tons of hours in this game but your one of the best ‘new’ players I’ve seen thanks for this video bro

A quick tip for you from a fellow Hollowknight player: I recommend getting both Vengeful Spirit and Dive upgraded cause they improve your spell damage by quite a bit. Both are relatively easy to get but I will not be telling you how to get them :) Another thing try to get more masks because they help with survivability. Also, make sure you equip the spell Twister if you wanna spam spells. I hope this helps with later bosses!

I had to beat the Dung Defender to get the Defender's Crest, its a charm that i only find useful in that homeless kin boss fight, it sprays taco bell toxic gas around you, not useful except for those flying blobs, you worry 99% less about them and focus on him
i am starting to realize that i need to relook at all my charms and see what i can do to create a better build for my play style! clearly the defender's crest isn't really working out for me

It's much easier with nail upgrades and the dash thingy (hope you don't know what i mean) it's also better if you (SPOILER ALLERT) have upgraded spells, like descending dark Hope you'll enjoy the game as much as i did, or even more, Hollow Knight is a masterpiece. and also, there are more dream bosses like lost kin, it's not a spoiler, so yeah, good luck with the final boss 😹😹

@@Kitsushiki its a boss rush added in the godhome dlc, there are 5 ranging in difficulty and the 4th tends to be the last thing before you get 112%, p5 is most popular because its stupidly hard (luckily doesnt count to percentage)
So yeah Lost Kin is really hard. He screws up my speedruns all the time. Trust me he will be a large hurdle but its fine. You are really good for a beginner. How long have you been playing?

also i haven't seen the rest of your series, but sometimes giving your charms a glance over to see if you have something you'd prefer/that counters your current roadblock is really useful, e.g. for lost kin i used a charm that does a tiny amount of constant aura dmg (not giving deets cause it might be spoilery) even though in general it's an f-tier charm because the small orange orbs only need to be hit once and have like 1 health it almost completely countered them, like ofc i'm using a single notch to get back my ability to heal are you kidding?

Using spells during bosses can be hard to do at first but the more you do it the easier it becomes!
