It’s so bizarre being in 2024 and knowing the prices of your Louis Vuitton key holder and the Chanel key holder back then. I just got the LV six-key about 6 weeks ago and don't know how I've lived without it. I may have wiped all my keys clean before putting them into the holder...no judgment. haha Great video, Minnie!

My SA showed samples of work he had done and it looked gorgeous 😍 I had mine done in gold because it matches the gold snap and also because they say that gold doesn't fade as much as other colors.
I purchased my first LV piece 6 years ago and it was the best piece I ever used. After so much wear and tear it finally but the dust, still performed but didn’t look the best. Treated myself to a new one yesterday, made in France too. Miss you Minnie, love your videos! ♥️
I love love love this SLG! And yes, my grandmother had a version of this so they are a very old style. But classic ideas are still classics to me. I've been using a LV 6 key since 1986! On my second one now but talk about long life. LOL
I highly recommend longchamp’s 6 ring key holder: it’s definitely a high end slg for people on budget. I’ve been using it to death and stuff three cards plus 4 keys in it. It gets dirty but the quality holds up really well. There’s stretch on those pressure points but considering how many things I put in it, not a deal breaker and I will keep using it. I once accidentally throw it in my washer machine. When I took it out, it looks fine except the interior lining wrinkled. The lamb skin has no problem whatsoever! I can just crab it and go, so easy. Low design. Get it around 100. Try it.
Great video Minnie! I'll admit- you convinced me to buy the LV 6 key holder- got it about 2 months ago. I'm so happy I chose to hot stamp it in gold- my SA says that color wears the best. And my looking at your 11 year old key holder- wow! He was right! Yours still looks amazing 😍 Mine has the same interior and the gold snap- I like that look. I learned from your video that I could remove the key holders- so I took 2 out. I am going to save them and switch them out when I see wear on the clasps that are in there now. Great comparison- now I want the Chanel because it's so beautiful ❤️

Great video, full of useful information. I've had my 6 key DE for 1 year and it hasn't shown any wear and tear. It's been used in large to small bags, even in my pocket on rare occasions. I couldn't imagine going back to using a circular key ring.TFS

I know this is two years later, but I use the Bellroy Key Cover Plus and it's excellent (and only 49 euros) if anyone is looking for another high-quality option.
I love my LV 6 ring key holder. It has the rose ballarine interior which I've heard can get dirty. I clean my keys with metho on a cotton wool ball once a year and put them back when they are dried and that has solved that problem, it still looks great inside. And I do find that it fits inside small bags far more easily than a bunch of the same number of keys. You would think it would add bulk but it doesn't. Possibly because it makes the keys lay flat?
I got mine 2-3 years ago because of your recommendations, it's been with me every day since. Except when sending to repair twice because of glazing issues🙈 But I do LOVE IT!❤️
i'm so confused about those key holders.. i've never seen them in person but i just imagine it to be such a hassle to open a door - opening up the key holder before you can actually get to your keys and opening up a door.. it looks as if the key holder makes it a little harder to get one key and open a door.. i can't even explain. they just look to make life more complicated instead of easier 😂😂 nonetheless - do you recommend them over the LV key pouch? i've thought about buying one of those because i like the idea of having your keys hooked onto it and having a little pouch for either your keys to put in to not scratch your bags but also for cards or money if you just quickly want to run out for groceries.. i also thought it might be handy to put in dog poo bags if i just quickly want to go for a walk with my dog 😂 tmi haha would love to hear your thoughts

It IS a pain lol. I was constantly fumbling to open and get my house key out while carrying bags and stuff. I started hanging my house key out of mine and that helped, but sort of defeated the purpose of it LOL. Got the pouch instead so my key is always at the ready, but not sure I love that either LOL. First world problems!!
good to hear someone agree with me for once, all i hear is people in the luxe community rave about the key holders and i just don't get the hype because as i said, it looks to complicate things than to actually be a helpful little SLG haha
It's tough because it really is cute and useful in a lot of ways, and it does protect your bag from keys potentially scratching. But you have to accept the extra step of opening and closing when your hands might be full lol. I def have a love/hate relationship with them!

For the car key, you can put one of the key rings out of the key holder and just have this one car key hanging outside. I’m talking about Chanel key holder.
SO glad you did this review. I've been in debate between these two pieces for some time now. I also have one of those lovely bulky key fobs and this review helps immensely. Have you ever considered any other LV key holders such as the round 6 key holder or the Berlingot? Prada has a similar 6 key holder to LV as well. How would you say they compare? I've had a hard time deciding between the two. LV has had a canvas issue for a while now and Chanel's price point is way too much, I couldn't justify it for myself. At the end, I decided on Leatherology's key holder. Leather, can monogram, is stitched so no glazing issue and is affordable. I had my heart set on an LV one but I am not willing to pay for an item only for it to crash and burn on me. And like Minnie has said, I am not willing to baby them, I have places to go and it has to work and work well. I bought this essentially for my Chanel bag and I haven't regretted it since. Key holders are great but choose wisely when going luxury; I have read too many comments of people being disappointed.
Ana Vivas how do you like the Leatherology key holder so far? I can't justify buying an LV one if I know I'm going to have varnish problems down the road (like Minnie mentioned). I've been looking into Leatherology ever since I heard Elle Be talk about that brand on one of her videos.
Its amazing. I don't regret it at all. The only thing to be weary of which all key holders have a problem with is the fob to your car keys. I would measure them and make sure they fit; the dimensions should be on the website. This is for all key holders, luxury or not. Mine happens to fit but I only have a car fob and house key so if you have more than one key beware and really measure with all keys and car fob. The leather is great quality, I love the monogram I got in rose gold and the ones from Leatherology have two buttons instead of one. Incredible piece, I recommend it 10/10

Thank you for your vdo. I purchased chanel key pouch today and I love it so much. It can hold my car key and other keys inside perfectly and I also can put some bank notes in it. Totally in love with back pocket since it is good for my parking card. With the high price compare to LV but I have got the leather with chanel classic style including caviar so I am personally think this is worth the money.

Yay! I've been waiting for this review- excellent as always! 💗 I just got my Chanel 6-key in August for my bday and I've been worrying about wear and tear. Happy to hear how well yours has held up! My fave feature about the Chanel is the back pocket- I love that my cards are right there, rather than having to open up and reach behind my keys for my cards. For anyone considering this SLG, I ordered one from Leatherology to see if it was something I found useful. Then I made the switch after a year or so. The best function (besides protecting my bag interiors) is I just grab this baby if I'm running to the gym or store. So easy and convenient, and I still have a little Chanel with me 😉🖤

Elizabeth J Rubinas A31503 Y01864 C3906 I ended up getting mine brand new from a seller on the FB Chanel Addicted Buy Sell Chat page from Rod JOr. He was great! Mine is a 22 series so it was made as recently as 2016. When I asked about the key holder at Neiman, the SA looked at me like I was crazy and said it was discontinued years ago. Clearly she was wrong. An SA at Hershleifers said Chanel didn't come out with any this season and to check next season because it's random when they come out with key holders. So who knows whether they're discontinued or not.

For anyone who would like to try a key holder but cant afford, cant get their hands on LV, or want to try a cheaper version before going all in, try Coach. No its not a luxury brand, but the design is very similar, its 25 bucks at the online outlet and the design is dare I say "better" since there is also an extra snap at the bottom of the case to attach a key. Perfect for a valet key or car fob.
Thanks for your review on the LV key holders. Now I have decided not to buy one as I am so bothered with the discoloration of the gold hardware. This goes same with all my LV items even though I look after them very well.
I'm ended up getting my LV one repaired a year and half after obtaining it. It came back with "thicker" glazing, I probably won't bother getting it repaired next time.

Chanel does still make it, it’s just super hard to locate! It was just released this past collection

With the high price compare to LV but I have got the leather with chanel classic style including caviar so I am personally think this is worth the money.

Oh my God, Minnie, I was laughing so hard when you talked about the keyrings 😂! I used a kind of dagger-like object to get the keys onto the rings, it was terrible 😂😂😂! Hated it!

Yay! I've been waiting for this review- excellent as always! 💗 I just got my Chanel 6-key in August for my bday and I've been worrying about wear and tear. Happy to hear how well yours has held up! My fave feature about the Chanel is the back pocket- I love that my cards are right there, rather than having to open up and reach behind my keys for my cards. For anyone considering this SLG, I ordered one from Leatherology to see if it was something I found useful. Then I made the switch after a year or so. The best function (besides protecting my bag interiors) is I just grab this baby if I'm running to the gym or store. So easy and convenient, and I still have a little Chanel with me 😉🖤

Elizabeth J Rubinas A31503 Y01864 C3906 I ended up getting mine brand new from a seller on the FB Chanel Addicted Buy Sell Chat page from Rod JOr. He was great! Mine is a 22 series so it was made as recently as 2016. When I asked about the key holder at Neiman, the SA looked at me like I was crazy and said it was discontinued years ago. Clearly she was wrong. An SA at Hershleifers said Chanel didn't come out with any this season and to check next season because it's random when they come out with key holders. So who knows whether they're discontinued or not.

Is this Chanel Key Holder still available? But I’m eyeing on Saint Laurent key holder. When I saw the Saint Laurent version, it had 6 keys, a bill compartment, a coin compartment on the exterior back and additional pocket inside. I was sold on that. But I love the look of Chanel too! 😍

For anyone who would like to try a key holder but cant afford, cant get their hands on LV, or want to try a cheaper version before going all in, try Coach. No its not a luxury brand, but the design is very similar, its 25 bucks at the online outlet and the design is dare I say "better" since there is also an extra snap at the bottom of the case to attach a key. Perfect for a valet key or car fob.
Good luck finding that Chanel one! I was lucky enough to score a vintage 1994 LV one in great shape though.

Thanks for your review on the LV key holders. Now I have decided not to buy one as I am so bothered with the discoloration of the gold hardware. This goes same with all my LV items even though I look after them very well.
I'm ended up getting my LV one repaired a year and half after obtaining it. It came back with "thicker" glazing, I probably won't bother getting it repaired next time.

I purchased my 6 ring key holder from LV on Valentine's Day of this year and mine has to go away for 4-6 weeks for repair! I'm really disappointed and don't know how I'm gonna store all my keys and cards until then. Funny how we get accustomed to these items!!

It's funny and frustrating that the two pieces I am searching for from Chanel are so illusive! You would think I'm searching for the holy grail. 😊❤️️. The six ring key holder and the mini o case black caviar with silver hardware. I will continue to be vigilant! 😊💗❤️️ also attach a small leather strap to my LV and Gucci six ring key holders which peek out a bit and slip around my wrist which Makes them so convenient and accessible 😊
