I saw this today. What a sweet, nice film. I typically gravitate towards darker content but this was a breath of fresh air. If you want to watch a movie that will just make you smile, I recommend this one.
My fourth grade teacher, in northern San Diego, her name was & still is Mrs. Harris. She would always rave about going to Paris, so my head turned around like 'Death Becomes Her' when I saw the big poster for this film the other day in Bozeman, Montana.
The process of chasing dream is not easy, Mrs. Harris has to endure the humiliation and confusion of others, but she never gives up easily. I couldn't control my tears while watching this movie. To everyone reading this: No matter if you are rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, there is always a way in this world for you to pursue your dreams. As long as it doesn't harm nature or others, You deserve to pursue your ideals and goals, and you deserve all the best things in this world. Sincere Greatings to all of you ❤❤
I am a very masculine Aussie male who watched “Mrs ‘Arris goes to Paris” when I was a bored teenager on mid day tv on school holidays. 20 years later the movie came back from the far reaches of my memory. I then thought my girlfriend of 17 years would love that old movie as she loves those high end French brands, so we watched it together last year and she loved it. So it’s really wonderful to see the new movie is coming out.
I only write reviews under trailers when the movie is exceptionally bad or exceptionally good. And this movie, without hesitation, is exceptionally good. The cinematography has the soft feel of being shot on film, and the color palettes are gorgeous. The beauty in this film, from the charming sets of London and Paris, to the stunning fashion, is breathtaking at times. The film is just visually beautiful to look at; a feast for the eyes. The acting is wonderful. Every character is perfectly cast and the performances are beautifully delivered. The story is delightful, embodying the purity of a regular person going after their dream, no matter their age or circumstance. The direction is masterful, and the script is flawless. If I could, I would give this film a 10/10. In short, if you're wondering whether this film is worth your time, yes it is! You will return to it many times after you first watch it. Enjoy :)

Now that looks like a great movie Definitely on my list. The vintage fashions are a knock out. Side note sorry to say the younger actors in this film and others I have noticed have no charisma whatsoever the older actors have presence. I have never seen the star of this movie before but you feel something when you watch her. This will be my favorite movie this summer

I feel horrible that i even have to ask this but is this an accurate representation of 1950's paris/england of non-white women being used as models and white and black people mixed on busses and being friends like this? I just can't help feeling like this is a misrepresentation of history? In America there were still segregated places even in the 70s and 80s, i can't imagine Europe was THAT different in the 50's, especially in haute couture
I understand your point, but while there is prejudice everywhere, I suggest you read some historical accounts of African American military serving in Europe during WW2. One quote I recall from a soldier in GB, sticks with me, "They treated us like royalty." Many black Americans married white Europeans, had kids, etc. While it was not a bed of roses the vitriol was not like here in the US. Many black entertainers in the 20s, 30s 40s and 50s escaped the US to work in Europe and were welcomed. Just a few, Josephine Baker, the great Paul Robeson, Ella Fitzgerald, authors Richard Wright, James Baldwin and many, many more. They were not barred from restaurants, hotels, or marriages. We could learn from all their experiences.

The British Government shafted my 95yr old Grandmother out of her War widows pension she was due after my Grandfather died from shrapnel injuries sustained as an infantryman during Dunkirk. My Granny worked 2 jobs all hours God sent to bring up my Mum and Aunt who were 13 and 6 yrs old with NO assistance from pensions-she didn’t know she was entitled to help!! It was years until this was known and she applied. They didn’t allow her to bring anyone to the legal meetings, my Mum (now an adult) was made to wait outside. My Granny was not allowed legal representation with her or any support at all. They decided she didn’t deserve the help she’d been ENTITLED TO and would not retrospectively pay her the War widows pension! This film is not reflective of the way widows were treated. Grossly wrong! England is a cesspool of entitled arseholes and my Granny paid the ultimate price and was dismissed. Shame. My Grandad was a hero. My Granny deserved more! 🤬😭

I have such a soft spot for elderly people, this movie made me cry like a broken sprinkler. I enjoyed this very much.
