@@Newcastle423 you totally missed everything i said and yes he absolutely does. clapton would tell you that, id bet a months paychecks on it. The man is 78 years old. John has literally been riding in his prime the last 10 years. Now back to it, you said no one can do an intro like Clapton and I said Mayers “Belief” would like to have a word with you. It was half a joke it was more for if you’re into guitar go check that out but since you wanna be a clown and start calling me “son” and talking dumb too you can kick rocks lol
@@Newcastle423 johnnyfromtheblock? more like johnnysuckscock but yeah close enough. I can’t help but to think you’re some fucking middle-aged Boomer who took a friendly comment and twisted it around because you don’t know how to read on the Internet but I digress
@@Newcastle423 Mayer has far surpassed anything Clapton has done since 1995 when he did the Freddie King blues gigs. Clapton will literally tell you that. he’s not naïve enough to think a master guitar player won’t at some point be on his level. just old boomers like yourself that are in denial LOL
I know right. As a Clapton wannabe I'd want to use a stratocaster with single coils, but midboost would be my only way out to get that sound. Hope I'll get to try it sometime.
yeah its such a cool technique isnt it, he keeps it in between his middle and ring finger when he wants to use fingerstyle. the guy is awesome, its these little things man the little things.
Eric you're terrific no matter where you sing. Your versions of Layla are all spectacular and keeps people glued to your performances. Thank you.
WOW! FANTASTIC! STELLAR music,
THANK YOU! ♥️
this is one of the best Layla versions ive seen! Clapton rocks!
I know, it's amazing!
The older he gets, the better his songs get... And they we're godlike when he was young..
WHat a fantastic version of Layla. Great outro solo.
god bless nihonjin's for their taste in the blues. long live EC.
One of the best versions of Layla I have heard, and I have heard plenty. Also David Sancious is no slouch on guitar or keyboards!
eric clapton ages like wine
No one can do an intro to a song like Clapton
Belief by Mayer would like a few words with you

Yes, I'm agree with you my friend, it was the best version, the solos are waouhhh...
Clapton's and Friends 1999 was his best concert...
best clapton layla version....EVER!!!!!
The intro is excellent.

this strat is my personal favorite

@ashhel5 he held the pick with his pinky and his palm. it's how most guitar players hold their picks when they use their fingers.
Clapton is God
Great performance :O
Anybody else notice that in the beginning of the intro he was playing with the intro, he flicks his hand, and suddenly he's got a pick?
最高
Gadd rocking out.
Amazing strat.
just look up eric clapton and friends 1999 layla. it should be there. actually, i think you just type in layla. hope that helps
how much
is not any version of any Clapton performance god-like??
In fact, i'm trying to tab the outro solo. half way through
Grande Eric! Dopo Mark knopfler sei il migliore
yeah it is
Wow !! Awesome intro !!!
just noodle on the D pentatonic, it's pretty easy to watch and figure out which note combos he's hitting..some open stringed, some closed.
this isnt the best layla version.
the version he played in 1999 at the crossroads benefit concert is the best.
cause hes the best hahah
