- Today we got some RC crawlers to mod! We had a relatively short time to come up with ideas so a LRS system, 100W led light and a winch CANNON! were added!

I remember when I was like 8 I got a RC car with a top speed of 35 miles an hour and I was scared I would break it so i only did it at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle but then I let my 22 year old cousin try it and he rammed it into the house at full throttle and it started smoking and it hasnt worked since

i got a huge buggy going 60mp/h (tested topspeed by driving in front of my friend's car whilst i was sitting on the passenger seat). at one point the motor control went completely batshit and drove full speed without the possibility of intervention by the remote control. had luck, because it hit a post 5m before going into the glass front of a shop.
didn't touch the car since then....

A spring loaded cannon might be better for quick relaunch and adjust-ability (insert in to ratcheted tube farther for longer distance...release by retracting ratchet bar thingy) Although not as cool and dangerous as black powder.

agreed, more practical than a black powder launcher. Electrokinetic propulsion would also be good for this, think electric nail gun but slightly smaller and less OP
You should make a “car” that has a chamber which can fill with water and can sink to the bottom of the ocean (ideally a river or something and then the chamber can fill with air and it rises and it turns into a boat. Add a camera too! 😀

Hey Peter, great video! I was wondering if you could do more videos with the ultralights and flying sleigh those ones are always the best!
I'd love to see more of this, maybe re-purpose the internals from an airsoft or painball gun for the launcher, so you can those CO2 canisters?
This also a completely off track thought, but maybe an RC demolition derby style video?
Good Vehicle mod:
Tie a quad copter (probably racing drone) to the roof of the car. You can then fly, or atleast get more air in jumps. You can also use 3d esc's to enable reverse thrust for wall/ maybe ceiling climbing

well the next version might have airplane motors hahaha (just to pin it against a wall) and ill look into the flex shaft!

tie a quad onto the roof. Full aerial control. most bigger (5"+ racing quads) can lift an RC car
definitely go flex cable, RPM and torque like a dremel never dreamed of and you can get all kinds of hand pieces for them. speed dial on the table, foot switch "gas pedal" and other nice options available. former jewelers machinist saying this Peter, a moto tool is a toy in comparison.
That nighttime scene with the flare gave me serious motorstorm vibes.

Great mods...brings back memories of Toyota Hilux I had (full size) and I could pretty much go anywhere with it and yes the winch would pull the vehicle up near vertical slopes no problem...Good times. I now have a Rav 4 which is more like a toy in comparison lol!

if ya slap one of those cheap heat pipe style cpu heat sinks on those 100w leds you can often cool them without a fan or with low rpm fan. Worked for me on multiple light projects
