I've noticed you've said this on a few videos having to do with markers before so I thought I'd just mention it. The reason they blend well has to do more with the ability to layer together and not smudge rather than what we usually think of when it comes to blending
I have a local 5 Below and I have gotten some art supplies from there and some of it is ok but there is a lot of stuff that isn’t that good. Sometimes it’s cheaper to just get more better quality art supplies for that price. Also the one time I got canvases and they weren’t that good (I don’t know much about canvases but they didn’t look good). Also I got the watercolor brush pens from them and they were bad too. A lot of their stuff is good but you have to be aware that they are meant for kids and not for professional artists so some of them ate cheaply made or not professional quality. But that really isn’t too much of a problem and a lot of it is still good. Sorry for rambling also there is more in the store then on the website. Also I basically bought all the animal crossing amiibo from there Edit: rip. I went to 5 below and I found the alcohol markers. Also those water based markers are super stinky

The alcohol markers are so good! I just grabbed them since they were brush tip but I was shocked at the quality, one of the best purchases I made this year.
....... I have that sketchbook actually and it’s not that good. The paper is thin and when you erase the paper gets thinner and thinner. Not the best . Butno hate to five below!
If you’re gonna do hair dying, i recommend arctic fox - beautiful colors and they leave your hair feeling nice. Been dying my hair with it for almost 3 years

I ran across the brush markers a while ago and immediately bought them! I feel like that they will be perfect for comic artist that don't rely on a lot of colors in there work and for inktober! I almost bough the ink pens too! But i already stocked up on microns when they went on sale
These would actually be great gifts for a kid who is interested in getting into art. $5 and under for what seem to at least be intermediate quality supplies, if not leaning into artist quality. Kids honestly deserve decent quality art supplies too. I used to get so discouraged that my art wasn't turning out well, only to try some better quality supplies and realize it wasn't just my lack of talent that was making my art turn out poorly. I hate to think how many kids have given up on their artistic dreams because of not having access to quality supplies.

Many of my art supplies are from Five Below. To my first alcohol markers, to colored pencils, to my first ever sketch book, to my paint brushes and first paint, and many of the paint canvases I use are from Five Below. I still love that place, even if they have cheap and not the best supplies

Don't ever waste money on their watercolor brush pens 😂 but I love the store and the acrylics weren't too bad, I was just starting out with acrylics I mostly worked with oils until then.
I love, love, LOVE five below. I bought some makeup brushes at five below, no kidding like, SEVEN YEARS AGO. And I still use them regularly. In comparison, I had an elf foundation brush, and it literally fell apart on me while washing it a month after buying it. I have an old sketchbook and I almost finished it. But I've used color pencil, markers, pens, and even acrylic paint in it. My favorite drawings are in that book. I also never leave the store without buying a $5 funny or cute t shirt. Because they're so cheap, I don't feel bad cutting them up and making different stuff with them. Five below is the best store.
I just bought the 50 sheet watercolor pad and I'm really enjoying it for practice. They also have a small 15 x 12" table top easel that folds up. Best 10 bucks spent besides the squishmallows I bought
Ever since fivebelow came into be I feel in LOVE. They have such cute things at an affordable price and most of my art supplies come from there when I don't want to go all the way to Micheal's or Joann's. And I never had an issue.
lol im 14 and i got my prismas like, 2 months ago and i dont know why i feel like im just wasting it by drawing anime 80% of the time and realism just 20% edit: drawing got boring for me lol
@@kadencemaria3086 How much water the paper can handle. Most people that do watercolor painting get 80+ pound paper, and alcohol markers need more than that. My current books are 85 lb and can handle 'light watercolor', so not a lot of water but some. I def can't use my alchohol markers as it will, without a doubt, leak through onto the next page and not just the back of the paper unlike my usual 100 lb. (the 120-150 I used to use a lot didn't bleed super bad unless I was doing heavy blending- I stopped as it was fairly expensive and didn't come in travel sized booklets often) It's also how thick the paper is, which relates to the water retention. The 60 pounds mentioned means it's nothing more than basic notebook paper, and will sog and become see-through with most watery media! 90+ is best for paints and markers, with 140+ being for the heavy duty professional paints and such :)
I have a five below haul to share myself. Just bought those alcohol and water based markers you mention. Love this store. :) Those pens are awesome too. I prefer their 15 pack for $5 versus their 6 pack for $3.

When rae mentioned that the black pens would be perfect for inktober that made me giggle because I actually got these and used them during inktober they are great and I got them during those times and today some of them are finally biggining to run out of ink which is good because they lasted so long🎨🙂🧡
Oh my god! I have the dip pen set and its actually really good, I noticed you had to shake the Inks quite a bit before using it for the first time. The pen is pretty standard, writes really smoothly. The biggest compliment I have for it is the cartridge's that you fill with ink, rather than it being a normal dip pen you have the option to make it a fountain pen with a refillable and easy to clean cartridge's. There is one complaint, Teal is a blue color but one of the bottles had the label "teal" but was a sunflower yellow instead. Some inks write nicer than others as well.
The last set of brushes you showed are awesome to dry brush ceramics with. I bought same set years ago from a different store. I tare up brushes of any kind dry brushing, being cheaper brushes they didn't loose bristles like most others:-)

Oh my god! I have the dip pen set and its actually really good, I noticed you had to shake the Inks quite a bit before using it for the first time. The pen is pretty standard, writes really smoothly. The biggest compliment I have for it is the cartridge's that you fill with ink, rather than it being a normal dip pen you have the option to make it a fountain pen with a refillable and easy to clean cartridge's. There is one complaint, Teal is a blue color but one of the bottles had the label "teal" but was a sunflower yellow instead. Some inks write nicer than others as well.
The last set of brushes you showed are awesome to dry brush ceramics with. I bought same set years ago from a different store. I tare up brushes of any kind dry brushing, being cheaper brushes they didn't loose bristles like most others:-)

I have come to LOVE Five Below. It's such a fun store to visit. Having lived in Washington State for so long, I never had any idea just what I was missing!
