One would think higher of those companies until you see how they play with your money. We had the same experience with another Canon model! Like you, we decided not to ever again buy Canon.
Now, I think I made my case of my wasted money. It appears ALL Canon printers suffer from the same problem and the inevitable solution depicted in this video.

I bought two original print head.... so I wont have to search again for two weeks to find them (in another fucking country) and my pixma ip 8750 gave the same error 1403, even with new printing head and new cartridges. Sooooo, GFYS smart ass, with your stupid remarks. BTW it's 90$ for one printing head in 25.05.2024 for a shity canon printer.

Like expired life printer ...had several case with ink printers which don,t like refill or recycled cartidges....

Maybe ribbon cable to head.
That's a very sturdy ribbon cable, It didn't look damaged either.
Or just spend $20 on a new print head.
