I’d be particularly interested to hear some more of your thoughts on whether / how the shocks improve the ride,
as they’re a substantial investment - certainly here in the UK.
They seem to only be available from the States with a substantial freight cost.
Just a heads up on the part number markings on the springs.
The 2318 and 2918 on yours are simply the week number and year of manufacture
Steve, I’m in the U.K. also, and I have just fitted these Chinese copy’s !! They look very well made indeed, for £100. Will test them later, but the compression damper knob is totally fake, so not holding out much hope for the rebound knob! The spring is stronger and it has pre load adjustment so that will be fine, I’m not doing WSB🤣

I have given it a thrash down some country roads to test my new “NOHLINS” and they are fine.
I am going to whip the spring off one of them to check if turning the lower knob changes the damping.
Good news! The rebound damping adjusters is real,and works, so they must have cloned the cheaper version that has no compression damping adjustment, and then just added a cosmetic one! They are very well made and I am not disappointed.

I’ve read the instructions, and regarding spring pre-load, I take it they want you to give the 200 mm long spring 7 mm of compression to a fitted length of 193?
The stock shocks were definitely on the lowest preload settings. Upping that may have helped the originals with you weigh. But the ohlins are the way to go!
The stock have no pre load setting.
Might of been easier to fit if you backed off the preload a bit?
What comp/rebound changes did you end up making? Also, im not 100% positive on how to measure the preload setting for this setup but im pretty sure that the 200mm ohlins spring needs to measure 193mm once on the shock and/or bike (hence their recommended 7mm).
Also, i had issues with the stiff slrings and installation as well (ohlins being too long). Dont seat the top hole all the way on the bike mounting point (just so that the bolt is flush with the end of the hole) and the bottom goes on easier with only a bit of pulling up on the seat.
So interesting... ciao..

Not sure, the new Dax is unfortunately not coming to Australia so I don’t have much info on it.

Do you think these shocks will work for a 2022 Honda Super Cub? I'm like 295lbs and need something that works and feels better on the road.
The load weight won’t be an issue, it’s really just whether the length and diameter of the shocks to fit the Cub is the same, which I don’t know and you’d have to research.
