Gyeon should be top of that list . Their coatings are absolutely garbage & in real world conditions they don’t live up to there ludicrous claims especially can coat evo ,one evo, pure evo & mohs evo. Fancy bottles with mediocre quality .
agreed. I know people don't like to down company's products, but I do love seeing a "real world" type of head to head competition on these to see what does what.
I’m glad you did this. Everyone knows about Shine Armor & F11. I’ve hammered the BeadMaker Fanboys over & over & I’m glad you showed this with direct evidence of the failures of the product & its claims. Blessings.
F11 in particular pisses me off with their marketing. A lot of the social media marketing is saying "you're stupid if you don't buy this" the cojones on these people.
lol sounds like Obsessed Garage's marketing. He pushed beadmaker and collinite insulator wax in the past lol talking about how amazing they were on top of coated cars LOL. You really can't trust anything you don't see with your eyes and feel with your hands these days.
@@MarkTrades__ Oh and don't get me started with his mono tone. But yeah, beadmaker has been the biggest fraud detailing product in the past decade in terms of popularity. And yeah, nobody should be putting on 845 on a coated car lol
Chemical Guys is 100% marketing, who doesn't like a creative looking skull ☠️ The first 2 products are made and aimed @ your regular Amazon customers who don't know anything about detailing 😋 Beadmaker was fun to use at first but I've moved on from it, even within their own product line there's better😉
I’ve bought a lot of chemical guys products the only two that are worth a damn and I get them when they’re deeply discounted and I use them on my customers that want champagne service with beer money is citrus gloss shampoo is a good one, and in my opinion their best product is nonsense APC like I said I get them when they’re deeply discounted
Surprised Bead Maker is on here. I totally agree with you! Most channels don't really talk about how Bead Maker fails on so many levels. I do enjoy other P&S products. I still like Bead Maker, but only as a drying aid. Only reason I'm still using it is because I purchased the gallon because it was so cheap. 🤦Really enjoy your videos!
Ya this was the first I had heard of the failure of Beadmaker long term. I had it on my list to buy a gallon, I'm glad I saw this because I won't be buying it now.
Their Quick Detailer Spray, and Waterless Carwash Spray are the only things that I like from them. Everything else is overpriced for what they are. You're paying for a fancy looking bottle, the name, and not so much for the product.
so true. I was sure the p&s crew would be all over me about their redundant products. those trolls pretend they are viewers, but they're all on the payroll. chemgals is like 3 products with 100 flavor packages; clearly marketed to the vaping generation, with bubble gum and watermelon flavored shampoos. who tastes that stuff? I don't recommend to do so.
Ooh he said bead maker...Pan the Scam Advertiser is going to be upset with you. He used to push this product a lot. Always said something like Tons of gloss, crazy hydrophobic properties, not a paid sponsored video, etc. 😂
Sup G, like Flossy im a petrol head - hailing from JA now residing in the UK. Was watching that Pan dude & coz he comes across as OCD i thought he was unbiased??
Many great points you make here and agree with everyone! First and foremost, I dispise when companies especially companies who make F11 and charge an arm and a leg for!!. No.companie should be allowed to be misleading and sell a product like this! These people should never be legally allowed to make products like this and not be fined tremendously first, shut their operations down and then be thrown in jail! Second, I was a little surprised to regarding the claims that P&S who really is a very reputable brand and does make some fantastic prosucts, make the claims on Beadmaker. I was one of the fortunate who did not buy this product, without first doing some deep diving. Last, Colonie. I'm happy to report that this brand has done and is continuing to reformulated their products and has broght out some new and impressive products to market! Thanks again for another honest and well reviwed video! I really appreciate the fact that you take the time to make videos like this and second your hard core honesty! This I appreciate and respect the most! Keep up the great work my fellow Greek patriot!👍
The only thing chemical Guys does nowadays in regards to chemistry is putting it in their name. They have a few decent products. Gloss works being one of them and then they're old citrus red shampoo which they'd no longer make. But everything else is just a filler. I gave up on them very early in the hobby. Honeydew does smell very good though.
In the UK we need products that deliver with our crap weather. My favourite brands that are top quality and reliable with no B/S are: Garage therapy Koch chemie Car pro Gyeon Bilt Hamber
It's about time someone made a video like this, exposing the fake products that only sell because advertising and cheap prices part fools from their money
Another great video... Here in México all high quality products are very expensive; based on your videos (years ago) I decided to invest on them and to give them a chance... Since then there is no way that I will buy cheap commercial products (by the way I have a ton of those). My favorite brand is Carpro mainly Reload, Echo, Pearl, etc. Now saving money to buy the newest products. Greetings from Monterrey México.
I think its so important to call out these poor brands, as customers often believe the hype and can be doing great harm to their paintwork, I've used ONR since I had paint work done to my car along with others & shampoos and I can confirm it really works without marking my new paint work however, I am very sure their are many others just as good but clearly with this one its not. Thank you Sandro, I am a new viewer and absolutely love your honesty and representational style It so cathartic. I really wish more tubers were honest and didn't just promote anything they are told to. Keep up the fantastic work buddy, UK watcher.
And you gotta try DIY Detail Rinseless as well as Labocosmetica Idrosave(sorry only in USA for now) as well as Phoenix EOD Hydra(382:1) and Owner's Pride Eco wash which is 512:1 while the normal dilution is 256:1 except for Hydra
Or it could be due to the hardness of your new paintjob vs. soft paint you may have had prior experience with. It can also be due to the fact that if your paintjob is new it hasn’t had time to have contaminants bond to the paint yet thanks to you maintaining it clean and the simple fact that you’re wiping down smooth clean paint with less effort vs. rough contaminated paint which requires more effort & harder rubbing which leads to instilling swirls on what could’ve been soft paint. The truth is most detailing products in 2024 work good enough at what they’re made for. You’d be hard pressed to find truly horrible products by any big name brands and more likely to find horrible products from brands that you’ve never heard of that are sold in small local auto body & detail supply shops. [think generic looking gallon products]
You will mar the paint more when wiping off instead of rinsing. Rinseless is not some holy grail of detailing, it's fine if you don't have access to water lines but there are safer methods to wash a car, clearly.
You sound like 1 of those guys who expected 6 months durability from a single application of a spray sealant that took you 3 minutes to apply to your car.
Beadmaker attracts dust like a magnet, offers no protection from bird bombs or bugs and has no self cleaning properties. People buy it because it’s cheap.
Beadmaker was overhyped by TH-cam detailers. Now we have Cleanmaker. Same nonsense. You just mix an ineffective paint sealant with an ineffective glossing product and you get a single product that fails even harder.
Because it works as advertised. This moron uses 10x too much and doesn't understand its a drying aid that helps with gloss and sickness, which it's great at.
I'll always have a soft spot for the Butter Wet Wax, it was my first wax I used when I was learning about polishing. Plus just applying it to paint-overspray actually removed it 👍 I've always heard carnuba wax brings out colors a little better, so I just keep my bottle for garage cars that never leave.
Glad to see Bead Maker here since I think it's one of the most hyped up products that just adds slickness and for me it also wouldn't pass as a drying aid since it would mask the great hydrophobic properties of your coating. I even saw the same hydrophobic properties the same as your test even in The Rag Company's own channel when Pan The Organizer tried it for the first time when they placed the hood vertically. If you want a cheap drying aid without added protection, just use ONR.
Great video as usual 😀 I used to use a turtle wax synthetic wax on old car paint and it was crazy the difference it made after using different waxes and was surprise that was the best result now days I use carpro products on new car paint and interiors and love the results
I kinda like Bead Maker as a drying aid. Very easy to apply, super glossy and doesnt streak on glass. But yes it doesnt bead that much and lasts maybe a week.
Exactly this. My car is ceramic coated, it makes it a very cheap and effective drying aid. In this day and age i don't get why anyone would use a spray polymer sealant for the actual protection. There are "better" options but they also cost more when all i want is something extremely slick under the towel for the dry. Also smells damn good.
@@Emily1963eh same. I keep trying to believe all the hate for beadmaker and tried a bunch of other "better" sealants to see what i was missing out on from these supposedly superior products. I don't get it. Beadmaker is still the cheapest ( as a drying aid a spritz or two per panel is sufficient) , one of the slickest if not the slickest, and smells amazing. Its the best way to finish off my carwash. In short, not saying beadmaker is the best, but it definitely does not belong on a list with f11 or shine armor which are literally trash products. Love Sandro whose opinions have been invaluable to my detailing journey, but strongly disagree that beadmaker as a top 5 worst product.
I always try to stay away from products that are labeled "revolutionary", or similar. Chemical Guys are only marketing and their only acceptable product is the cleaner for interior textile although foams like crazy and generally when a product is too good to be true, it isn't that good in reality. Every producer has only a couple of products in their lineup that are good...the rest of them are just to be there.
I think you are spot on with everything you mentioned in this list. I am shocked with you results with metal wax though. I’ve heard a lot of people in the stinger community using that for the finicky chrome bits with good results. I have not tried it though, and I trust your judgement more than most. Also, bead maker needs either a revamp or a rebrand. Their defender product really fills the void as a bead maker 2.0, being longer lasting and having better water behavior (still not the best). I do think bead maker can be great as a drying aid as is, but there are plenty of other sprays that do that job better for not much more really. 3d bead it up is a perfect example of this. The draw of bead maker for pro shops is that it is dirt cheap at wholesale cost and it gives a slick feel that customers can touch and feel the “protection”.
great content. agreed. don't know about some products, but I have tried out the p&s products. so true. some of their stuff is good, but they label and distribute a bunch of products that no one needs, just to market and make money. their biggest scam is their no-rinse wash; such a waste, with a bad copy of ONR. collonite is a good wax only. companies do not need to make a full line of products; they mostly only have 1 good product.
Around 2 years ago I bought 1 gallon of beadmaker in my region, it's cost me around 30$, insanely cheap if u think about shipping to my country and smth like that. Barely use it twice or 3 times and realize i just a marketing victim lol
Try using it every 7-10 days aka everytime you wash your car to experience its true potential. You stating that you’ve only used it 2-3 times explains why you saw no benefit. It’s a product that should be used frequently not something you use once every 6 weeks.
Excellent video, Sandro. I would concur 100% with your assessment of spending on marketing hype vs. actual product development. The only one of these products I've actually tried is the Butter Wet Wax. The only reason I tried it was because a couple of years ago, I could get it from my local Walmart for $10CDN. I also wanted to see "what the hype was about." It turned out it was just hype, period. The only Chemical Guys product that I have actually bought repeatedly and continue to use regularly is VRP. I quite like it as a weekly tire dressing.
Totally agree, my novice self was lucky to avoid chemical guys mostly, but stumbled upon VNR, man that stuff shines and lasts a long time on my interior dash, doors, etc. Stuff is awesome. Just need to be picky about chemical guys, don't believe they're all shi*
I love P&S (local SF bay area company gotta support them) and i won a bottle of bead maker 2 months ago as a raffle prize. Its definitely not the best spray sealant and is surely a victim of overhype, but i do love its simplicity and how it lasts *just* long enough to keep some hydrophobicity between washes, especially during this wet season. All in all i think its an okay product that mostly does what it says and for the price most people should not expect high durability. Once i get my car properly coated, ill look into different and better performing options
I agree with this all. However, I have had amazing results with Beadmaker personally. I tested it out and was getting 30-45 days stand alone protection. However, I used it to top coatings and more as a quick protection product and a drying aid. I don’t think the protection claims are ridiculous either. I use more often NV boost but if it’s a client that just wants the basic wash I use Beadmaker for those reasons and if you over apply of course it will get expensive like any other product. Living in Florida where it gets so hot Beadmaker does a great job IMO. However, it’s not long term protection just a short term product.
Gtechniq C2V3 and Osren Water Coating are my go to spray on sealants. C2V3 for after paint correction, and Water Coating for the monthly maintenance cars.
Should add a poll to see how many of us have been burned by these products or brands. I know I have a few of these for sure! Have you noticed the more the hype(PAN) the harder the burn.
Anything labelled as 'waterless wash' is a flawed concept. You can not wash a car properly without using water, and if you try, you *will* scratch the clear coat to some extent, no matter what you try. The most disappointing product I have used was 'PoorBoys wheel sealant'. Advertised as a tough wax for alloy wheel protection, I bought some to use on my refurbished alloys on an M140i. It was not particularly cheap but I saw this as 'reassuringly priced' and expected a good product. It was very greasy and smeary to apply and didn't buff, and I noticed almost zero protection or beading afterwards. What a load of old shyte. There are so many brands and products in car detailing, it is an absolute minefield for newbies, but over many years of experimenting, I think if you stick to anything made by Bilt Hamber, you will get a top quality product which is extremely well priced.
I have not used any of these products except the Butter Wax. I agree with you on all points. It feels good, smells good and is easy to use but it just does not seem to make any difference to the finish - I actually went and reread the instructions becuase I thought I must have used it wrong - the finish looked exactly the same as the bare paint. I thought maybe it was just me... Apparently not :)
Hi Sandro, maybe a video for the top 3 store bought options in Australia for each categories. For example the turtle guys pure soap in an amazing off the shelf product.
This is another money-saver for us Sandro. Great you have gathered them together and even showed us the real world experience. Wonderful video with important comments. Cheers from still cold Sweden.
Quite an eye-opening list. I'm surprised to see a P&S product here, but I've never personally used Bead Maker. I do use Gyeon Wet Coat and am quite satisfied with it. I also have Butter Wet Wax on one of my vehicles right now. I probably should have known better than to use a Chemical Guys product on my paint, but it's a garage queen so protection and durability aren't really in play. Thanks for the objective video!
Like Sandro said, if you enjoy using BWW keep using it! Chemical Guys has been around a long time. It's crazy how many products they have. I really like VRP, Silk Shine, their plastic/trim aerosol spray, and some of their soaps.
Sandro good video I think If your sewing skills match your detailing skills That's a channel I would watch Everyone who details always has to have there BS METER on all the time Like you said it's more about the brand and sales even if the product is rubbish Its just wrong Keep the videos coming In Sandro we trust
Thank you for your opinion mate im glad i heard your view, but i must say i have never had an issue eith chemical guys and im stocked eith nearly everything they have. As you always say everyone has their own opinions about everything so thank you for yours.
Good info, I have to agree with most of your assessment. I went down the CG band wagon when I first started cleaning and detailing and realized really quick most of their products are snake oil. I still have a couple in my cabinet and use them in a pinch that are half way decent (VRP being one). I do however like Beadmaker. Definitely not long lasting but the incredible slickness makes it my go to drying aid. And the fact it wears off quickly helps not clog up my coating too bad, a good alkaline pre soak (APC or otherwise) and it's gone...
Bead Maker was my entry into detailing and all the options out there. I now use NV Jet and Lustre depending on the paint colour. I still find beadmaker to be quite good - I know it doesn’t work for some people but I used Bead Maker on my Evo for a few years (before getting into new stuff), and found that it really worked nicely. Dunno. Anyway, great video Sandro as always! Good stuff.
Personally, I have never used a CG product that I could not get the same or better results from another line that is CHEAPER with no marketing needed. Overrated and overpriced; I’ll stick with Meguiers and up and coming Turtle Wax.
Finally someone calling out Beadmaker for what it is!! Unsure if it’s the climate here in NZ but along with the shortcomings you listed we also see crazy streaking on black/dark paints and in summer it attracts dust like nothing else. I’ve also found it will pull the wax protection off beneath it quicker than if you weren’t using it at all, smells great though lol. Appreciate your videos 😊
I’m in the states and see similar performance in the summer. I’ve been told the towels used to apply it make a difference (ie creating more static to attract dust), but I’m skeptical of that claim
Anything with buzz words now gets a -1 point from me. The ceramic (how much is there in it that is ceramic) products are great, but when they stepped up to graphine and tests showed equal or worse it showed that they are realy buzz words. As you said in different vids, your Australian price and availability plays a big role as it should play a big role for different countries, yet the tests are somehow universal. After having bought a lot of Meguiars products here in Europe I am slowly switching over to Sonax for the quick maintenance things. My wallet, like most folks lately, is getting very thin every end of the month so I needed to make a few drastic cuts. One of them being Meguiars stuff being 2 to 3 times the price of Sonax which I cannot justify it anymore. I still have like 3 bottles of HCW, the blue stuff, but I will use it less now. Having a really great time now with the Sonax BSD which I last bought for 10 euro shipped to my door which is like 16.6AUD. Also their 2 liter of shampoo is dirt cheap and good. Also they are very clear about the health and environment statements so I really enjoy their products at the moment. Actually how many products can you have or buy? Maybe it is time for a test between really cheap and still good stuff and the really expensive things keeping in mind that people wash their cars on a regular basis. Price is a serious factor at the moment for me.
It's too bad their isn't more consistency in pricing around the world. Here in the states Sonax is one of the most expensive brands. Until these detailing companies start producing products locally rather than shipping across the world it will always be a problem.
@@joeschmoe6908 Even locally it seems to be a bit of a Russian roulette here. Those Meguiars things I bought in France at half the price they were here locally. That Sonax BSD bottle, even in the same online store (starts with an A and you also have it) has the offering here twice on the same page with a bit of different names. (exactly the same bottle, product number and 750ml, I checked on my previous bottle). Just checked again now, 1 is priced at 10.52 Euro and the other at 15.75 Euro, that is 50% more. Try to explain that! There must still be profit on the cheap bottle so I think there is a lot of money to be made on these things. If you can get that Sonax BSD cheap I can highly recommend it. I took an extra bottle and diluted it with approx 50% water. After every wash a couple of squirts, towel and it beads like crazy for weeks, in some cases months. Look at some German reviews on TH-cam as well. Been on the market for years.
I have to give a plug for Turtle Wax’s latest shampoo. I’m not a TW fanboy at all, but this shampoo is easily (easily) the best detailing product I’ve ever used. That includes polishes, compounds, etc. This stuff works better than Dawn, but leaves what feels like a ceramic coating for weeks. Of all detailing tasks, I hate washing cars almost as much as cleaning carpets. That changed when I got this soap. I just wish they sold it in bigger containers and had more of it available. Thanks Sandro for your always-legendary content.
What TW shampoo are you referring to? And saying it works better than Dawn is setting the bar at the very bottom, so you’re not exactly making it sound very good. Lol.
@@Samuelfish2k I replied and I’m not seeing the post, so, hoping it sticks. Hybrid solutions Pro Pure Wash. Bottom-line is that this soap melts everything off surfaces without punishing them…like Dawn would. I don’t work with or for the brand at all, and acknowledge they have some inferior products from the past. But the latest stuff that’s come-out is quite impressive. That’s the only reason I thought to mention it here at all. Sandro is right though- there are some duds that really do their sister products a disservice. Collinite immediately comes to-mind; 915 is my favorite wax of all time.
@@snail415 Never in a million years would I have even thought you may have been a closet TW employee, so you’re good on that one.😃 Nothing wrong with any brand all across. Although some might want to argue Chemical Guys or Armor All. To say Armor All, while it may be popular to believe would in reality would be quite stupid, because anyone who really knows anything about detailing products knows they’ve had quite a few gems and innovative products in the past 15-20yrs.
Turtle wax hybrid solutions is generally a really good line of products. By comparing it to dawn you are the one bringing the product down, not the "sister products"
I tried a few products myself and finally someone shows it, its complete garbage and when you point it out on a fb page you have all them fan boys screaming over you on how I applied it wrong and dont know what Im talking about, simply put, I followed the instructions, the product doesn’t meet not even a small amount of its claims so yea.
Hate to say it because I love P&S but it doesn’t last very long and has to be applied every wash unfortunately and even with a ph neutral soap it strips. The gloss & slickness is insane though. I still use it because I make clean maker and have gallons left so I won’t just throw it away
La butter wax, la collinite 850 y algún producto más de collinite como el QD antical, y el Bead Maker. NO puedo estar más de acuerdo. No complen con lo prometido. Decepcionante. Los antivaho de algunas marcas tb...
I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, but I use quick beads nearly every wash. 2 quick sprays per panel while wet and you get a crazy slick surface and beading. I don't think they advertise it as a ceramic topper or to give you 6 months of protection, but I've noticed my car staying cleaner between washes and the water beads nicely. Using too much definitely leaves streaks, but normal usage leaves a glossy and slick surface and drying is incredible. I get like 8-10 washes out of a 16 Oz bottle, if not more.
No surprises a Chemical Guys product was in the line-up. In fact, i wouldn't have been surprised if all 5 products had been from that marketing company.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us Sandro. I was also disappointed with Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax when I tried it years ago. The only wax I've ever really liked from Chemical Guys is their XXX Paste Wax. Cheers, and have a good weekend.
Hydrosilex should be added to this list as well. It had a massive marketing hype a few years back. Terrible product and makes claims like all the rest of these brands but really just disappoints majorly. A friend gifted Chem Guys Extreme Wax n Wash for me to try out and just like every other products from them it was a complete failure. Literally no protection or colour enhancement or slickness to the touch.
I like bead maker, it looks great on silver paint anyway. It makes a huge difference that people compliment me on. I agree it’s not durable but that’s not what I’m looking for when using it.
This is why i have always stuck with meguiars and mother's over my last past 20 something odd years cleaning vehicles. This other stuff isnt worth the time. Tw isnt bad but that old green wax is too hard to get off.
Gyeon Cancoat evo should be on that list especially when many claim it’s super fast application & can be done in no time is utter nonsense & laughable claims . It smells horrible , flashes so fast & finish is average at best too .
@@PissBoysMr. Pink and their snow foams are okay if you're in a pinch and have literally nothing else available, but even on the store shelves where you find them there are often better products. Pan recently did a shampoo shootout and included Mr Pink just because of its popularity. Predictably, it came in last.
I like your sense of humor, & objectivity. I agree with your assessments, with the exception of bead maker, because my understanding is it's in an undefineable category all on it's own. My experience has been, it works best on cars that already have a decent gloss *as that was not my intent in purchasing it. Just one question, why did you include products like Meguires and Mother's that you didn't review in with the 5 you did ?
Hi Sandro - In line with your "switching gears" on your video subject, which by the way is a really good idea, I'd like to do the same with the usual follow up questions you get. So what is the material of the black test panels (and I think sometimes red?) that you use? It seems to be acrylic. But even if so is there automotive paint on the panels? Super curious, thanks as always.
Thanks a lot for this man, was curious for a long time about that P&S Beadmaker. I'll stick with TW Seal&Shine, it performs very well and it's cheap. When I feel like I want deep shine, I reach out for my collinite.
The unfortunate reality is most brands know the average DIY guy doesn't know much about detailing, or know when the product is working or failing, or even remember the last time they used the product. So for them the incentive is not there to also spend more on R&D because it won't really show on the returns. They just need slick marketing, and overhyped claims on the label. Even some brands with good products such as Turtle Wax do it with their hybrid ceramic range. The prosumer and professional market know they don't really need to spend as much on marketing and more on R&D to get their returns. So its a different business models for different markets. Its not ideal and I dislike it, but unless the customer on the end becomes more aware and changes, then the brands have no incentive to.
Thank you so much for this video Sandro. I fell for the hype over the Bead Maker product after watching the episode from "Pan The Organizer" after his visit to The Rag Company. He really embellished his claim that it is one of the most outstanding products. You can find it and see for yourself. I bought a gallon of it and after a couple of uses I too came to the same conclusion you did. It was so disappointing. I trusted his judgment and it left me feeling a little betrayed. After this, I lost all respect for this man and have since unsubbed from his channel. I think the man is a total fraud and his real motivation is networking and marketing himself to the highest bidder. It's all about money it seems. No wonder he gets to own high end "everything" including a fancy Porsche and huge house. He has made money off the backs of poor, unsuspecting people by over exaggerating claims of certain products. He has been called out for this and yet despite the negativity, people still flock to his channel. Well, not me. Your channel should serve as the yard stick to real and proper content. This is why I am here Sandro. Thanks for your unwavering honesty.
This sucks because I saw a video of Chemical Guys butter and i was sold. However i was just using it as a layer of protection (at least i thought) on an already smooth glass corrected paint. The smell of it is amazing. Dammit.
@@Samuelfish2kI've got it on my garage queen, which probably doesn't need any protection at all but I was looking for a little bit of extra shine. Butter wet wax didn't provide that.
@@cgraham6 In that case another product mentioned in this video, Beadmaker would/should suffice for your situation. I know a guy who has a late model Chevy Camaro as a garage queen and all he ever uses is Meguiars Synthetic Express Spray Wax and it keeps his paint protected year round and he hasn’t had to claybar or polish it since the 1st time he did it several years ago. Some people would scoff at his process and say that’s not supposed to be considered stand alone paint protection. But in reality it actually is sold as stand alone protection for your cars paint. No where on the label of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax does it state “should only be/recommended to be used on top of a base layer of actual paint protection” It IS paint protection. It’s simply a fast form of applying it. Is it as strong or durable as other forms of paint protection? No, but if all you need to protect is a garage queen that bearly ever sees light dust it’s all you need. Similar to how Beadmaker should be used and that’s frequently. Most of these people get pissed off because it fails somekind of torture test… Well it wasn’t touted as teflon strong protection in the 1st place, you dummy! Lol. [not talking about you]
@@Samuelfish2knailed it. Beadmaker for its cost is a great drying aid/quick top off. My coating below is the real protection. Beadmaker just makes my drying experience pleasant
I was getting sub-par results like you had with bead maker till I watched the how to video by Renny Doyle the creator of bead maker. one of the big things is you have to flood the panel with it and also wait to wipe off

Sandro I love you brother I know you are one of the top detailers in the world, but this video is going to be so controversial pan the organizer number one topper for the last five years is P&S bead maker, plus Dreammaker and collinite insulator 845 wax is one of the all-time great I know you mentioned the one for metal but collinite is legendary in Northeast United States great video as always
Pan is a shill, every review he does is paid for. He won't look at a product for under 10k I think it was. YT has become the infomercial space, you have to look at everyone and think is this just a paid ad.
No need to.. I made it using some leftover products and it doesn't work like they say..my car was still as dusty after a week and with any other detailer products..
I hate how chemical guys relabel their products and raise the price, All the products are almost useless. I do use that wax as a paint remover like plastidip or other scratches though 🤷♂️. I stick to turtle wax and mothers. Thank you for your video
I appreciate that mate and I will add Armour Detail to my list, but I prefer getting products myself as I have no idea if or when I’ll have time to review them
I wish we got more videos like this exposing poor brands and over hyped brands

@@MarkTrades__ Oh and don't get me started with his mono tone. But yeah, beadmaker has been the biggest fraud detailing product in the past decade in terms of popularity. And yeah, nobody should be putting on 845 on a coated car lol
Chemical Guys is 100% marketing, who doesn't like a creative looking skull ☠️
The first 2 products are made and aimed @ your regular Amazon customers who don't know anything about detailing 😋
Beadmaker was fun to use at first but I've moved on from it, even within their own product line there's better😉
Made by Warner Chemical btw.
Oh nooo you said chemical guys out loud, I hope you haven't summoned their fan boys
Their Quick Detailer Spray, and Waterless Carwash Spray are the only things that I like from them. Everything else is overpriced for what they are. You're paying for a fancy looking bottle, the name, and not so much for the product.
😂😂😂😂
Who else noticed that Turtle Wax was outstanding when comparing it to the Chemical Guys Butter wax?? Informative video! Thanks!
Chem guys is just a private label they buy from warner chemicals in bulk. chem guys are only good at marketing
In the UK we need products that deliver with our crap weather.
My favourite brands that are top quality and reliable with no B/S are:
Garage therapy
Koch chemie
Car pro
Gyeon
Bilt Hamber
Don't forget Soft99
It's about time someone made a video like this, exposing the fake products that only sell because advertising and cheap prices part fools from their money

Thanks for going there Sandro, really appreciated
Thanks for making this video. Please make more!
Completely agree on Beadmaker. It fails the "does what it says on the tin" test so very badly.
You sound like 1 of those guys who expected 6 months durability from a single application of a spray sealant that took you 3 minutes to apply to your car.
@@Samuelfish2kNope. I expect a product called "Beadmaker" to produce high contact angle beads. It does not.
@@VaingloriousGabagool Beads fine for me. Especially when used on top of a base layer of actual paint protection.
Ahhhh I’m glad you mentioned bead maker, I just never ever understood the hype behind it.
Same with there break buster.
Agree. I used to use autoglym and then tried brake buster. I’m waiting to run out of brake buster and back to autoglym.
Because it works as advertised. This moron uses 10x too much and doesn't understand its a drying aid that helps with gloss and sickness, which it's great at.
I'll always have a soft spot for the Butter Wet Wax, it was my first wax I used when I was learning about polishing. Plus just applying it to paint-overspray actually removed it 👍
I've always heard carnuba wax brings out colors a little better, so I just keep my bottle for garage cars that never leave.
That is a money saver review, more will be nice.
I kinda like Bead Maker as a drying aid. Very easy to apply, super glossy and doesnt streak on glass. But yes it doesnt bead that much and lasts maybe a week.
I mix it with some Dream-maker for extra gloss.
I get far longer than a week with my beadmaker? The bottom of the doors starts to go first but the bonnet and roof still bead.
I use Carpro Ech2o at 1:20 as a drying aid, and it blows Beadmaker away as far as gloss and slickness.
Love this content. Thank you. Lot of work you put in to make this 🙌
I always try to stay away from products that are labeled "revolutionary", or similar.
So many better products to choose from. Don’t waste money on Beadmaker. Life is too short for crappy detailing products
Love it! Call it what it is!!
Completely agree on VRP being one of CGs few worthwhile products. It works well for me as an interior protectant as well as exterior vinyl and trim.
I use it on a coated car it works and my car gets tons of attention plus I'm a detailer
Great! Video thank you for posting this type of review of products.
Your honesty is refreshing for these products
You can not get most of these in the UK, I agree Bead Maker is overrated. Hopefully, this video help people make some better choices.
DIY ceramic gloss works magnificent. Or 3D Bead It Up.
Kenotek Showroom Shine!
My DAD taught me the same !
I shy away from anything that is claimed to clean/shine waterlessly
Good info, I have to agree with most of your assessment. I went down the CG band wagon when I first started cleaning and detailing and realized really quick most of their products are snake oil. I still have a couple in my cabinet and use them in a pinch that are half way decent (VRP being one). I do however like Beadmaker. Definitely not long lasting but the incredible slickness makes it my go to drying aid. And the fact it wears off quickly helps not clog up my coating too bad, a good alkaline pre soak (APC or otherwise) and it's gone...
I have fired The Chemical Guys. Only thing I sort of liked is their VRP, but only watered down in a spray bottle for darkening wheel wells.
Shine armour isn’t even a detailing company it’s more like a marketing company 😂
Good stuff.
Great reviews!
So Pan the organizer lied on his recommendations of the Beadmaker. Im glad I did not buy it !
Pan the advertiser is a shill and not a real detailer he wouldn’t even qualify as a Carpro installer.
Great video!
Which one specifically is that?
@@snail415 Never in a million years would I have even thought you may have been a closet TW employee, so you’re good on that one.😃
Nothing wrong with any brand all across.
YES!!! Finally someone else who calls 10:03 bead maker as the dog💩 it is!
“Hydrophobicity” 🙌
Your 100% correct with beadmaker!
Super disappointing product.
Thank you 👍😁
The best product to me and i've tested a bunch is Turtle wax Spray wax even better then seal n shine
Anything with the Chamical Guys logo needs to go in the bin.
Mr. Pink and their Honeydew snow foams are actually pretty acceptable products for what they are.
Except for half a dozen products
Agree 100%
@@PissBoysMr. Pink and their snow foams are okay if you're in a pinch and have literally nothing else available, but even on the store shelves where you find them there are often better products. Yup. All trash from a pos company.
Thank you very much for doing this video. I agree with your results for Shine Armor I tried everything in my powers to make it work and it didn’t
Shine Armor is a cheap quick wax, it doesn't replace any other product like sealers or good wax. but if you want quick finish it's ok
I wish I would have seen this before buying into the Chemical Guy hype. Jet Seal is just so bad at protecting. Live and learn
I trust this guy Sandro he’s a finest reserve installer just like my detailer also finest reserve
I like your sense of humor,
& objectivity.
They are thick sheet metal panels that have been primed, base, and clear coated - exactly the same as car paint - by a local body shop spray painter.
Thanks a lot for this man, was curious for a long time about that P&S Beadmaker. I'll stick with TW Seal&Shine, it performs very well and it's cheap. When I feel like I want deep shine, I reach out for my collinite.
THESE COMPANIES SHOULD BE SUED FOR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND DECEIVING CUSTOMERS.
Dammit.
It might work ok on a garage queen that rarely gets driven. Otherwise the protection is very weak and almost not even worth the time.
No where on the label of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax does it state “should only be/recommended to be used on top of a base layer of actual paint protection”
It IS paint protection.
@@Samuelfish2kI'll keep that in mind. 👍
Haven't used bead maker but those that do, certainly rave about its gloss. Its great to see your honest review. Thx big S
I use bead maker as a drying aid I disagree with the comments sorry it works
Hello brother.
Always look forward to your show's.
Could you kindly recommend any products for general "interior" cleaning.
Thanks
I never use waterless wash ,all it does is scratches the paint work.
For folks who don't like Bead Maker, what better products do you use instead?
Chemical guys wins in the department of smelling great.
3D Bead It Up is superior to bead maker. Change my mind
I was getting sub-par results like you had with bead maker till I watched the how to video by Renny Doyle the creator of bead maker. one of the big things is you have to flood the panel with it and also wait to wipe off
So....any recommendations of good quality compounds and waxes ?
Appreciate your input 👌
Much blessings 🙌
Yes absolutely, I did a series of videos covering all my favourite products.
My compound recommendations: th-cam.com/video/poEeUxHcNGw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MLiRvgiFk5RvPk7d
My wax recommends: th-cam.com/video/eVXFo6nOVjE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JHX4Tf9yIljgcn0V
Sandro I love you brother I know you are one of the top detailers in the world, but this video is going to be so controversial pan the organizer number one topper for the last five years is P&S bead maker, plus Dreammaker and collinite insulator 845 wax is one of the all-time great I know you mentioned the one for metal but collinite is legendary in Northeast United States great video as always
Pan is a shill, every review he does is paid for. He won't look at a product for under 10k I think it was. YT has become the infomercial space, you have to look at everyone and think is this just a paid ad.
I disagree about CG Butter Wet Wax. Don't kknow why but this wax seems work wonderful with Jescar Powerlock on rims and stays on for a long time.
Hi
About the bead maker
Can you test the "Clean Maker "
It is a Mixture of 1 part of dream maker to 10 parts of bead maker
So 1:10 ratio
Thank you!
No need to..
I made it using some leftover products and it doesn't work like they say..my car was still as dusty after a week and with any other detailer products..
CG Jet Seal isn’t any better than Budder Wet Wax. It can’t withstand one shot of windscreen washer fluid.
Auqapel is the best
If Bead Maker is on this list, what is your favorite drying aid?
Totally disagree with comments about bead maker it works great on a ceramic coated car
I hate how chemical guys relabel their products and raise the price, All the products are almost useless. I do use that wax as a paint remover like plastidip or other scratches though 🤷♂️. I stick to turtle wax and mothers. Thank you for your video
Thanks!
Thank you mate, really appreciate the support!!
Hi Sandro, i’m in Vic also and want to know if you would like to try some Armour Detail Supply products that i have?
I appreciate that mate and I will add Armour Detail to my list, but I prefer getting products myself as I have no idea if or when I’ll have time to review them
