Good thing you wont have any spare time to spend it on anything other than a 500 sqaure foot hole in the wall so you can sleep and get back to your work "taking the bus"

A big CEO will just use that loophole to hire less people for a retail or food service corporation. raising minimum wage does not do an average American any justice or advantage. The only people that will benefit from this are big tech companies.

A disabled 24 year old man applies for a job because he wants to live a life of dignity and meaning but is told that he isn't going to be hired and as he leaves he sees a 40 year old mother of 3 get the job because she can be more "productive" than him and this means that no employer is going to want to hire someone with a mild to moderate disability over someone who isn't disabled. He realizes his future is going to be one of supporting big government bureaucrats by receiving disability benefits he wouldn't have needed 100 years ago, but does now because of policies like the minimum wage. He realizes that he will keep these government bureaucrats employed and making more than he ever will get on disability. He may have even been told "you should apply for disability" as some kind-hearted manager at a massive corporation he was applying to work at told him she couldn't hire him because he wasn't able to perform the essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodation. In 1790 that manager may have owned a small grocer when a man with a mild to moderate disability asked if he could stack some shelves for her if she would give him a free meal and $2. She may have thought "I could do in 15 minutes what is going to probably take him 4 hours but I will pay him $2.00 regardless of how long it takes him to get it done and whatever he doesn't finish I can do in a few minutes anyway." No more of that is happening and we have seen an increase in homelessness and poverty of those on disability benefits because of it. Who benefits from this? @@AugustStephenson397 We own a landscape company and give a small raise, more than that, every year. Our income went down slightly this year, while the employees’ went up slightly. 79 cents per employee isn’t going to break the bank. They need to raise their prices a bit - like everyone else.
For the employer it went up 3 dollars. Minimum wage was $17.25, as long as employees made at least $2.72 in tips (19.97). But now it its $20.76, and tips are not counted as a part of that..
