This song was supposed to have been the most beautiful dragon theme, and they ruined it, plot-wise and consequently OST-wise. Now I'll never be able to listen to Dragonstone without having a bad chill thinking of poor Rhaegal finally arriving home only to be so stupidly and cowardly killed.

So Dany will lose another son of hers and then loses her last friend and go mad, on paper the reasons that drove Dany to madness should work but they needed like a whole season devoted to make it believable not 1 episode..
Rhaegals death was literally the stupidest death of the season along with his mother....it’s like the writers literally through the lore of the show out of the window. This show could have easily been ten seasons....it needed at least that much to do the story justice. The long night was rushed and could have lasted at least a whole season.
lmao when this played I was like "HELL YEAH DRAGONSTONE 2.0!! MY FAV SONG" then it was abruptly interrupted and I was pissed.
It's an insult that they'd put the most "free happy dragons flying on their way home" anthem (Shall we Begin) for the credits of this episode

What was the actual plot reasoning behind killing Raegal? To make the iron fleet look less pathetic?
To give Dany another reason to "break" and thus badly justify her becoming the Mad queen.
