@@femmedulce1 Game of Thrones wouldn’t have been the same without his music!
I am going to be so mad if Djawadi doesn't win an Emmy this year.
#JusticeForRaminDjawadi
The issue is that Emmy soundtrack nominations have to be composed specifically for the single episode they are featured in - they can't include any material from previous episodes. And, since this is an epic where music is used as a storytelling element through things like leitmotif, this piece will likely be disqualified due to incorporating the show's main theme around 5:18. Light of the Seven was ruled out on similar grounds.
If the Emmy was worth something, he would already have one
@@slowslaw258 Yeah, that has hurt composers like Djawadi and others like Max Richter who never got an Emmy nomination for his work on The Leftovers.
He is the best in the fu**in history

True that

Thank you for this. Ser Mormont derserved that epic death. I think he knew. 🥹
That scene still gives me chills
I know probably no one will read this. But Djawadi's music was the reason I began to play the cello. And, I think, that's the best decision I've made IN MY LIFE.
When I feel low, I go with my cello and it conforts my soul.

I think they're pretty much on the same level
They even sound similar. Two themes of evil that work so well together
Lol!
Bwans_Art The only thing that Light of the Seven has in common with this score is that they both include the same Musical Instruments such as Piano. Apart from that they are not that similar. Both are Legendary scores! Thank You Ramin Djawadi for giving us Awesome Godlike Music to The Best TV Show to ever exist!
@Ragnarok Yeah they are very similar in their structure, especially in terms of building and building towards the end with arpeggiated strings etc. It was definitely very deliberate as well. Light of the Seven culminated in something absolutely terrible, so this gives the sense that it is going to end in an equally horrifying way.
Light of the seven is on a completely different level.

With all the controversy going around about the last episode, we can at least all agree that Ramin Djawadi did everything right and made one of the most epic Soundtracks any show has ever seen.
That's the only safe thing.
all of his soundtracks makes all the scenes more awesome and unforgotten.
Ramin Djawadi should be a Great Musician available in the next Civ game!
He was dead either way. There was no outcome of the situation with him living. Being a redeemed and forgiven man, he does *what is right* (he talked to Jon about always wanting to do what's right) and makes a last charge at The Enemy. His death was quite unspectacular, for the great character he was, but it was the right ending for him.
@Robert 0077 Hes got the best death ever, he protected bran, redeemed himself and died charging the Night King, he died an honorable selfless man.
Though the seasons slowly failed, Ramin's music NEVER fumbled or faltered. Not once.

It's not like he got in the past. He won an Emmy for one of his more mediocre compositions, and he didn't get one for Light of the Seven where basically his music is the whole episode, nearly no dialogue, just his music carries everything. At this point I have no expectations
@ Didn't he win an Emmy for the S7 finale? I thought "Truth" and "Army of the Dead" were amazing. Not legendary-level like Light of the Seven, of course, but still good.

I listened to this after 2 years, and I felt a strong wave of nostalgia of when I first watched the battle of Winterfell.
Too bad the battle was a complete disaster of film making looking back on it.
My head my head cannon is that at 7:55 instead of Arya showing up, we see Bran hold out his hand as if he is accepting The Night Kings touch and at the last second warg into the night king, taking his army back to the north and basically holding the army back himself as the enemy thus , Bran can become the new night king.
The Night King walking towards Bran with this piece of art in the background. Absolutely the best moment in this episode.

@@danielmacdonald9287 But it doesn't feel right at all, and her arc never hinted at her being the one to face the White Walkers. No other epic story would do something this abrupt. It's an utter disappointment. Avatar the Last Airbender was a million times more epic than seasons 7 and 8.
@@Thesociallyawkwardbooknerd Then don't open up the god damn show with the White Walkers, and don't let Jon spend his entire fucking arc talking about the army of the dead. He kept saying that the politics of Westeros was nothing compared to the White Walkers, and the show was trying to convince us that he would turn out to be the archetypal hero, like Aragorn or something. 6:30 Anybody who played Legend of Zelda: A link to the past can spot a semblance between this part and the mystery forest soundtrack. What a beautiful piece this song this..
Yes! Glad to see someone else hearing this. There's also some similarities between the opening theme of GoT and Song of Time and Song of storms from Ocarina of Time. I'm sure Ramin is a Zelda fan.
ramin giving his entire soul to try and save this series through music
i appreciate you ramin
Some people may not like how the NK went out but the music was emotional as hell. Perfect song for that last 5 or so minutes of the episode. I wouldn't be mad if Djawadi was sitting on the throne at the end lol.
As usual, the Persians win.
It was amazing the song
The NK went out? Buddy it's a cersei helping the Starks moment. You know there's something fishy =D
The Night King is extremely misunderstood. All he ever wanted was to cleanse the world from the filth on Westeros of the living, the humans, who still could not work together properly.
@@saeedvazirian Ramin gave such a badly written scene a deep meaning by his score
"We're not a large house, but we're a proud one." RIP Lyanna and Jorah Mormont

The best house period.

5:14 is just Amazing.. It's like Reinforcement.. Never watched GOT but I made my own perceptions from it's music.
My fav part
Happy 10th Year Anniversary GOT.!
thx you too :D
S8: "Winter is here"
2 days later: "Winter has passed"
That's why the white walkers first battle with humans is called the long night they bring winter its stated in the books and show

Theon, Born as Greyjoy died as STARK.

Died as a hero
Don't make me cry again
This song fills me with just so much emotion. There isn't too much music today that does that. Thank you Ramin Djawadi.
When I first heard it on the show…it just stole my heart 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫. The melancholy, impending doom, the losses. The gut sinking as the music kept rolling 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
This theme is so damn good, it makes me wish The Night King had won.
ahahaha
That would honestly be a better plot than the one we got.
And right now he would be at the Riverlands.
Would’ve been 10x better if Winterfell was lost to the White Walkers and Jon with the last of the survivors went to King’s Landing as the last line of defense. Would’ve made this final season worth something.
It would’ve been an improvement
This music is the best part of the season so far.
Only good part*
True, season is trash, seems like a bad fan fiction writer wrote it.
Just to satisfy his fantasies.
Ramin Djawadi is our azor ahai
You mean, the whole show? It's the best music in the whole god damn show mate.
Definitely
I'm listening to this as the snow falls thickly and it grows dark.
This is the real masterpiece.
Ramin! Oh man.
The nightking story and this music lives a 1000 years.
No one can make a bettter nightking theme than this.❤
Got rules
1. If Rains of Castamere start to play at a wedding, someone will die
2. Never keep a favourite character
3. When piano music plays, sh*t just got real.
Too bad everybody survived the long night
@@forzabvb5594 well nearly everyone
Rule 3 is actually 'whenever a piano sounds, a king is going to die' confirmed today
What about Bells?
Everyone's F**ked!!
If I hear a fokin piano on next episode I'll cry for dany before even she gets slayed
You know it’s a serious battle when Dany is forced to handle a sword.
Mr. Gwapito used Jorah as a shield 🛡 💀
I feel like no one noticed that. You know the world is coming to a near end when Daenerys feels she cant do anything but pick up a blade and hack away in the final stand
Im glad someone else saw that, it was a true moment of desperation in which she though she was going to die, her dragons had been wounded and Rheagon had been downed, the army they had is in tatters, for all she knows Jon is dead. She did the only thing she could. Picked up a weapon she had no idea how to use effectively and try to help Jorah make his final stand. It was literally all she could do. It was almost as if she had accepted they had lost and the final question is how many can they beat back before they themselves are killed.
@@sakshambhaisare1606 Watch again! Jorah pushed Dany away.
And its was his duty to protect the Queen, respect to him
@@Whoami691 did a second dragon die? Or was it just injured?
Night King is my Hero😍
it's amazing how music like this can not only sound emotional, but can also make you actually feel emotional.
I've never felt more sad about an antagonist dying.
Thanos :(
Why? Night King would kill you and everyone you care about.
Yes, specially when this badass antagonist is killed from an all powerful arya magically popping screaming into the screen, without his entire army knowing about it.
@@rahuljphilip Damn you're pathetic

Legend has is that *Jorah* balls are made of pure Valyrian steel.
true
Jorah should have tea bagged the Knight King then.
As does Lyanna Mormont. Little thing taking on that damn giant and getting her ribs crushed
Don't forget Theon. Knowing full well that he would die, he still charged against the Night King. Mad respect for him aswell.
Mormont balls are of valyrian steel
The scene when Tyrion kissed Sansa's hand gently 😭💙
Starting minute 6.33 , "Beverly Craven - Promise me" spot on 😂.
Jaime : it's Impossible to Defeat Dothraki in an Open field.

6:50 the night king walking to bran in slo-mo has to be one of the coolest scenes ever
Totally. Gangster.
Up until that point every thing had gone his way. Some people say the king dies so easily but he didn't. He got too cocky at the end allowing himself to be open just as he is savoring the killing of Bran. His plan was almost perfect.
agree
I am not alone! :D :D This sequence and music was truly epic!
Dude roll down with his generals like he owned the place.
This is a musical representation of the pure awesome that S8 could have been.
Yup
