In the case of D.O the fuel get the heat from the refractory. How the refractory are heated before?
Sir who heat the refractory at first because you we need pilot burner only when HFO fuel but in case of diesel oil you said no need of pilot burner then how refractory will give heat to main burner???
How the electrodes take such high voltage ?

what if there is no pilot burner, and a cold start procedure is carried out on, were there is no heat available in the refactory
Sir ek doubt hai. Agar main burner me HFO nhi hu, diesel oil ho like when ship is in port, even then te pilot burner is used or not? Ya fir tb sirf refractory se heat lete hai?
The auxiliary boiler on a ship is the one which operates on diesel/furnace oil.Auxiliary boiler is used while the ship is in port.
Now come to your question we can't take heat only from refractory because to ensure better combustion and to maintain flame front continuity... pilot burner arrangement is there in Auxiliary boiler.

There is Automatic Combustion control system used in boiler power plant. These system has 4.measuring element:
1.A steam flow sensor
2. A steam pressure sensor
3.A fuel flow sensor
4. An air flow sensor.
So Now come to your question There is an Air flow sensor which measure the air to the boiler and accordingly A fuel flow sensor which measure the fuel flow to the boiler burner.
So, there is 2 controllers in Automatic combustion control system.
1.A fuel flow controller
2.An air flow controller
An air flow controller which regulates the air flow by opening and closing of dampers and accordingly A fuel flow controller which regulates the opening and closing of fuel valve. In this way proper stichiometric ratio is achieved for proper combustion.
I m going to brief u all about the Automatic combustion control system in boiler plant very soon in my separate lecture.

U mean 3 element boiler control system?
After flame is stabilized, then it is only secondary flame. Primary flame is only in starting time.

Lighter particles further receives heat from Pilot burner that mean pilot burner transfer heat energy to the lighter particles and lighter particles again transfer heat energy to the heavier particles and hence heavier particles gets atomised and generate a hollow rotating cone called secondary flame.
So come to your question initial atomisation and generate flame called Primary flame.

From where refractory supply heat sir???
Refractory materials are used in boilers to contain the heat generated by burning fuel in furnaces.
