The more I watch these Real VS Fake comparison videos just makes me want to buy fakes. Notice he says "The real pair is sloppy" I've spent $200 on airmaxes at footlocker and you can see glue mark in spots and around soles. Like this is what $200 gets me? Goes to show how these companies get their shoes made around the corner from various fake factories and charging us ridiculous prices while not giving a shit about quality anymore. I am trying to explain to my coworker that it’s hard to tell , he got solefly DS size 11 for $300 off mercari, than interested in reflective black statics for $350, DS as well than he sends me a picture this morning of DS with stockX tags no photos yellow. He swears up and down they all legit. We used to talk sneakers all the time, but I can not associate myself with people rocking with fakes. shit is like splitting hairs! that’s what got me fucked up...resale prices are insane and no one ever has a receipt. sellers always say theyre authentic, like on ebay, but rarely have a receipt. then you have stockx and goat verifying authenticity but some people’s say they have been sold fakes. i literally can’t even trust no one...not even if they do have a receipt because who knows maybe the receipt is fake along with the kicks.
meanwhile you have these fakes that have a lower price point and microscopic differences to the authentic pairs, so why would i want to pay resale? especially if the resale pairs can’t even be trusted? way too much money to be made and this is bringing out all the scammers and bs. the only way you know for sure your shits legit is if you buy them for retail and that never happens for the people that actually wear their shoes.
i remember when $100-$150 for a pair was expensive. these days you see a shoe for $300 and think it’s cheap, but for your average consumer, it’s not. the secondary market has everyone desensitized to these rediculus inflated prices. businesses are smart. release limited quantities and the secondary market will show the true value of a pair of sneakers. man the shoe game is wack and not fun anymore.

So what happens is someone at the factory where they make the real ones, makes a few extra pairs and sneaks them out. My boy has a plug for them and you can’t not tell the difference what so ever, same weight same color same everything. They are half the price tho
That doesn’t happen anymore. That’s where the term UA came from. Unauthorized authentic. It’s used to happen in the past and people were arrested for doing so. All the shoes we’re getting from plugs overseas are counterfeit items.

UV light definitely makes a difference especially when Nike watermarks shoes like the Travis Scott’s. They one upped the fake factories with that one.
