It took us several hours to explore this place, Chateau de Savigny-les-Beaune, an old chateau with several collections inside and outside. Racecars, motorbikes, models, tractors, and fighter jets. According to the website it's the worlds largest private collection of fighter aircraft. Thanks for watching!

    Many thanks for this visit!
Just to help understanding some topics - sometimes local or typically French in this great eclectic collection ;)
0:45 One of the first automobile petrol engined canots ever: Tellier (even French people often don't know these things). Tellier drew hulls for French military seaplanes, some used by the US Army in 1917-18.
4:59 Test model indeed, of a Leduc statoreactor (hoped to become a fighter plane in the early 50's). Statos are good engines for long cruise missiles...
    4:54 Noratlas French transport airplane
6:30 Tractors to farm raisins, needing "high legs".
12:30 Mirage three "A" - means it's a prototype. What a pity it's also outside. All those planes need a hangar!
18:25 Great collection of French brands (nearly all disapeared) motorbikes and also fantstic GB, Italian, etc. ones, for connaisseurs :D
20:00 E.g there, the TERROT room: a brand from Dijon

The name on the Crusader cockpit is Joseph "Hoser" Satrapa, a legend in the US Navy fighter community. Flew F-8 Crusaders, then F-4 Phantoms and F-14's. After retirement he flew for Cal Fire flying water bombers, fighting forest fires. Rumour has it that after Hoser died, Snort Snodgrass took his ashes up in an A-4 Skyhawk and spread his ashes over the Nevada Test and Training Range at Nellis Airforce Base. If you ever come across a picture of an F-15 with a gun cross hair right on top of the F-15 pilot's helmet, the crosshair belongs to an F-14A being flown by Hoser.

They can be bought, but without engines.
But if you're savvy enough, you may be able to scrounge one. Heck, he's even got its gun on display inside (The M-61)!
Back in the late '60's, a guy by the name of Daryl Greenameyer bought 3 surplus wrecked F-104's (back when the militaty was still using them), was able to build 1 that was airworthy out of all the pieces - then went out and set some records with it!
May not be as easy to do now, but it can be done...its only money.

I generally do not include an intro or outro, nor any explanation on screen. I prefer to think of the camera as if it's a window that TH-cam is looking through as we go places. I do however always list the location in the video description. I am not a professional and everything I do on this channel I've learned as I continue to make videos.
