Whoever used this pathetic Samsung kit just PLEASE buy 2 of those amps and this will change your life forever. I'm also planning to upgrade rears to something better than original Samsung ones (9100) to add some extra bass. I tested one amp on both speakers and feedback was terrible but when used 2 they are completely quiet. Remember that using ground loop will most likely ruin your sound quality or change audio in some other way. And more expensive loops are as expensive as this amp so why even bother? Ps. Thank you for this video sir
I did this but I cannot get the Pyle PCA2 to play these darn speakers. The RCA jacks are correctly installed and the amp FM works. I think the PCA2 output for the RCA input would be AUX since the other options are BT and FM. I'm stumped.
Great video! I have the SWA-9200S speakers connected to my Samsung HW-B650 soundbar, and get some sound but can’t get the rear volume up. Could I use the Pyle PCA 2 amplifier?
Thank you for sharing this video. I just purchased an SW 5500from Samsung and I'm looking to purchase some rear speakers and I was looking at the rear speakers that you currently have. This is a good and affordable option.
For me it depends on the soundbar mode. In DTS virtual X rear speakers are very loud without any additional amplifier. In adaptive they are way more quiet. But changing their volume to +4 is enough to make me happy
Thanks for this video. Couple questions: 1. Why not run both rear L and R off the single Pyle unit? It looks like it supports a L and R output. and 2. Can you tell from experience if the 8500S is receiving the rear L and R surround signal from a decoded Dolby 5.1 digital signal or is it actually playing a L - R front stereo signal? Also, if your source is 2 channel PCM, do these rear speakers connected to the 8500S play at all?
The audio feed has a strange noise interference if you do not separate the left and right signal . I guess like a ground loop or something to do with the wireless signal
The reason that two separate amplifiers are needed is to prevent a loopback between the two channels/ outputs of the BT unit. T tried with one stereo amplifier (means two channels in one unit separate input , but it started whistling). Using two separate physical amplifiers, each side withown channel with own input (=the speaker) solve the problem as suggested and it is great now. Yes still have the Hum sound when the soundbar is off. So I do not switch it off at all. Thanks to all foe the advises.
So I got the same amplifier you got because I was having a problem with the Samsung Surround Sound being too low you can't do it with just 1 amp because you get feedback I solve this problem by using a high to low converter I could tell the difference but having a second amp to those made it a lot better so I ended up getting another
I was scrolling thru the comments to find someone with the same issue with me. With one amplifier connected to two speakers I was also noticing feed back. If I disconnect one speaker, regardless of which one, the feedback stops. I was hoping I wouldn't have to order another amplifier but It seems like its the only option. Thanks for this comment.
Thanks for the heads up, literally bought these and they were a little too quiet for my liking, but I was wondering since we can just add an amplifier to it, couldn't we also end up changing out the speakers later on as long as we have the cable to the samsung receiver? And if so would it work with dolby atmos speakers or do those need a special receiver to use the upfiring speakers?
I see the 8500 claim to have 80W total RMS power so im going to assume this means the speakers have pleanty of power but the soundbar hasnt got enough power to push them. I have a set of 9100s and they claim to push 55W per speaker but just like the 8500s, they arent loud enough. How did you hook up for speakers to the amp? Did you run them straight to one single port for 40w or did you use a cross-over configuration to push the full 80w of power to a single speaker? Id like to know cause finding the pyle pta2 are getting harder and harder and their newer models are pushing 100w and up.
Question, when i use 1 per channel it only works when 1 of the rear speakers are connected, when i add 2nd amp i get feedback, same as 1 amp 2 channel Any ideas?
Thanks for the video - sound is much louder from rear speakers now. One question - I'm getting a low hum from the rear speakers when the soundbar is off - even after turning the amps off - how can i get rid of the hum?
I turn off the rear amplifier when I’m not using it, which I agree is much less than ideal. I know there are some comments in this thread that addressed the issue and propose some solutions. I’ve not had time to try to implement any of them.

So I bought a Samsung soundbar and back speakers surround sound system. But I was told it would be better to add a sub- woofer with it. So how would I do that when the original system did not come with a sub? Can I add one and connect it to the Amp? Just seeing if you may know what I can do to add a sub to my sound bar system. Thanks
This is cool. However, one can increase the volume of the rear speakers by using both remotes. On the sound bar remote, press the button that looks like a settings button a couple of times until you see rear speakers on the sound bar. Then wait for a second or two and press it again to select it. Then, use the TV remote to increase the volume. That's it. Someone posted these steps on Amazon.
Frank Tee Yes. Volume controls are in there. But for many the top volume of rear speakers in insufficient and not commensurate with the volume of front. This should help those who find volume insufficient.
Hey Jeff, great video. I am trying to see if I can use the rear speaker amp to power some in ceiling speakers that are prewired in my home. I am fine with the sound volume coming from my current ones that came in the package. Do you know if I can just join the wires and plug the in ceiling ones into the samsung amp ? I know the ones that come are 3 ohms, but I can only find 6 or 8 ohms online. What do you think ?
We were enthusiastic about buffing up our sound in the rear speaker surround system for the 8500. Changed out wires to better ones. Followed steps exactly as shown in the video for one amp to start with. When sound bar is turned on and we follow the steps to turn up rear speakers, there is no sound now. We tried pulling wires out in case plastic casing was too far in, but that did not help. Any hints on how to get the rear sound now to work? It was working in its original format when we first connected without the amplifier. What might we be missing?
I just got my pyle in mail today and it works lime a charm i only use 1 amp to connect 2 rear speakers. Going tobuse the other one upstairs . Its a big differ in sound
I have also purchased 2 of these units for my 8500 speakers. I don't understand where the hum comes from when only using 1. Besides using 2 of them is there any way around that annoying hum that your aware of. Joe B
Great Post! I did the same thing that you did with 2 amps and then found a solution before I saw your video. Also, I connected the amp power to a smart switch and created a Smartthings Automation. That turns the Amp on and off with the power to the TV/Soundbar. [If: Soundbar is turned on. Then: Speaker Amp is Turned on and vice-versa]. I had the same buzz/humm until I added a Ground Loop Isolator for less than $15 on Amazon. Now, 1 amp is fine and I've reduced the TV on-off pop noise. You didn't mention it, but don't forget to make sure that you keep the polarity correct on your connections. Otherwise, your speakers will be out of phase and sound funny. [I posted this earlier, but my comment disappeared. I included some amazon links, so I will try it without.]
What smart switch did you use. Was it a plug? I like this idea of amplifying the speakers but would be a hassle to turn on/off the amp every time I watch TV.
So you would have to turn on/off the amp constantly when watching/turning off TV? Also, my speakers are 3 ohm while the amp is rated for 4-16 ohm. Is that going to be a problem?
Thanks for the video, do I understand that besides the volume the sound is also improved with the amplifier? I am also curious if you have information about a wireless subwoofer solution. I have the sw 5500 soundbar with the swa 9000s speakers, I miss the bass and I am looking for a solution regarding a subwoofer, the SWA-W700 that Samsung offers not available / to be produced. do you happen to have an alternative solution or model?
I've tried the set up. I moved the amps from 220 to 110. But I do not hear any sound. What mode does the Amp need to be on? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

A further note, Using clear voice really makes a difference as the rear spkrs in some cases "muddy" the voices

This works. I wish I had just a little more bass with the Pyle pca but so far it’s great!!
I did this but I cannot get the Pyle PCA2 to play these darn speakers. The RCA jacks are correctly installed and the amp FM works. I think the PCA2 output for the RCA input would be AUX since the other options are BT and FM. I'm stumped.
GREAT IDEA,I WILL SHOW THIS VIDEO TO MY SON ,HE'S AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.....
Can this work for the swa 9200s rear speakers
Great video! I have the SWA-9200S speakers connected to my Samsung HW-B650 soundbar, and get some sound but can’t get the rear volume up. Could I use the Pyle PCA 2 amplifier?
Hello , i have the same problem but , why not run both rear L and R off the single Pyle unit wich is 2 channel?
Can you amplify the subwoofer the same way? Or a similar way? I have the same system, gonna try it out. Thanks!!!!
Question, when i use 1 per channel it only works when 1 of the rear speakers are connected, when i add 2nd amp i get feedback, same as 1 amp 2 channel
Any ideas?
Tnks I did exactly what you said. And it work great now my back speakers are loud too.
@@georgeisjeff Thanks for responding - i'll scroll through the comments and see what i can find

@@georgeisjeff Okay, I get it now.

omg.. thanks Frank, worked like a charm and saved me bucks by not buying the amp..
We just figured out so we'll share in case anyone else experiences the same issue. We had to change the voltage from 120 to 110 amps on the amplifier.
Joe B
Awesome video... just don't understand the line out part of it..
@@Mister_Y Yes. I just used a compatible plug.
@@sgpefamily8515 That’s what I figured. Just did that. Thanks for the tip!
What ground isolator did you buy?, I see a bunch with RCA pass-through, and thanks for your input greatly appreciated!
PSA : During initial set up you go into settings via the soundbar remote & set the rear speaker volume to your liking.
GatesTech Haven’t played with the subwoofer. Sounds is amplified and sounds cleaner, but I can’t verify that it is statistically “improved.”
So there needs to be a amp per speaker?
Would I be able to get some new speaker wire likena lot longer and hook it up so I can put my speakers on each corner of the wall?
I've tried the set up. I moved the amps from 220 to 110. But I do not hear any sound. What mode does the Amp need to be on? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Great content, can you make a full video of your set up? I would really like to replicate it.
Can you please review 9100s and 9200s?

I bought 2 more back speakers and 2 amps. Can I run 4 more wires from the main unit and run 2 speakers from each amp?
Did you ever find out if that worked?
Hello George. I purchased the amplifier and hooked everything up but the first thing I noticed was some white noise feed back when I had two speakers connected to the amplifier. As soon as I removed one speaker the feedback stopped. Do I need one Pyle amp per speaker?
Yes that's what he said in the video I think
This is a great idea! However, i did exactly what you said and I went from the AMP L to RCA L and the the AMP R into the RCA R. Finally I connected the four cable wires to each end of the speaker and the other end to the amp like you did it the video but i got humming like you said. When I remove one and keep it as one channel though, one speaker sounds great but the other barely works. Do I need to get another one if these amps? And if so, instead of getting another can I get a higher wattage amp instead?. I saw a Pyle 220 amp for $65 on Amazon. I only ask because i don’t want the clutter of two amps. @@Beano987 then how does he connect the amp to speakers? Does he use extra wire or something?
I've tried this but it becomes apparent that you can't raise the rear volume beyond that of the sound bar without an intense hiss from the rear speakers when you increase the amplifier volume.
Hi, can you tell me where to buy that device? thanks good video !!

I did everything in the video, all I get is static hiss, but no audio signal from tv. yes you need a new wire from amp to speakers because original wire which goes to speakers goes to amp now
Occasionally I can hear some sort of signal coming through the speakers. It might be some FM station 'leaking' through. Has anyone have this happen and if so, is there a remedy ?
Are you using the amplifier setup like he shows in this video? If so it is most likely noise either from the cheap amplifier, or other electrical interference. You can either lower the amp volume until the noise goes away, or switch it off when not in use.
Will this setup work with the Samsung SWA 9000s
Not certain.
Yes
You need a ground loop isolator that should fix feedback!!!! Look them up probably have to order one from Amazon or ebay your problem is the 8500s amp is plugged in and so is the other amp theres to many things running electric in you setup powering speakers should only have one power source this is same for car stereos hopefully this helps you guys
Could you please kindly explain where to install a ground loop isolator? Would it be between (1) 8500s transmitter and extra amp, or (2) between extra amp and the speakers. If latter case (2) is correct, then do I need two ground loop isolators?
