I’m three months into a friendship with a girl I met through a mutual friend. Already experienced the sudden mood changes and the cutting off of communications for a week or so. She suffers from CPTSD also. Always tell her that I’m here 24/7 for her if she needs to talk or needs support. We live four hours apart, but I visit her every couple of weeks for walks and adventures. I do have a thick skin though.
My bestie of several years has bpd, I think it's some kind of fate that we met but I'm procrastinating atm so I can't poetically wax here. Human connection takes work but it's work worth doing, we're friends because it makes us happy.
How does doing whatever possible to please the favorite person balance with the NPD entitlement to do whatever necessary to gain attention even cheating when the favorite person is their partner?
only friends might go but he didn't want to be just friends. One day I was the best thing that ever happened to him and the next day he hates me. The tantrums. name-calling, threats... the hatred in his eyes...I couldn't take it anymore. And then the smear campaign started... most of the horrible lies he spreads.... made me decide to close the door for good..... that was not love.....he never loved me....
I am worried I have favourite personed my support worker I have been seeking her advice a lot and needing her validation on things I have had this ongoing problem with support workers triggering me and I just dump them and move on. I am doing DBT it is helping but I am not all the way there yet. How do I explain the favourite person thing without scaring her off?
