    Thank you for this pattern. It is perfect for charity knitting. So quick, and lovely result. Completed a bakers dozen. Many more to go. Staying caffeinated, inspired, and stitching.

    I received some Charisma yarn for Christmas and made my first hat with your tutorial. I did end up with a ladder but filled it in when I weaved in my ends. It was fun to make and I bought a skein to make another one. Thank you for the video.

    Haven’t knitted for awhile and really needed this refresher . It’s my first attempt with circular needles! 😬 eek! Wish me luck.

    Oh wow, I just made my first beanie. Thanks so much for the clear concise instructions. I love the closure of this hat, no fuss at all. I used Wool Ease in the color Cabernet. The next time I'll cast on 48 stitches. I intend to make another tonight and will make many more in the future.

      You are so very welcome! You can ultimately do the same hat on size 8 needles using worsted weight yarn with a cast on of about 100 stitches. I love simplicity and this hat does it for me too, lol! Keep up the great work, and would love to see it if you'd like to share - I'm also on Facebook and Instagram under the same name 😊

    This video was very helpful. I always feel like a dweeb when I forget how to decrease my hats I hate looking up patterns I just want to be able to pick it up and make it with any gauge!

    I've watched several of your videos and it's always a pleasure to watch-- you give measurements all throughout the project of approximate lanes and that way if I want to shorten or lengthen it I have some kind of idea of about where increases & decreases-- you just give so much information in your tutorials. I'm so pleased to found you happy stitching 👀😎👍

    Would you recommend a different amount of cast on stitches for a woman’s size? If yes what would you suggest?

    Hi Fiber Great thanks. You used to have a stocking stich toque with a ribbed edge that you cast on 80 stitches Do you still have it and if so where can I find it.

  • @anniechaks

    Wait so after you do the ribbing you say to just do a knit stitch but it looks like you did knit and purl so that one side is the bumpy side and the other are those triangles... so which one is it?

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yuppers. After you do the ribbing, you just continue stitching using the knit stitch. Since you are working in the round you dont have to turn your work, therefore as you knit the other side will automatically look purled. I hope that makes sense 😊

    Could I leave the hole a bit bigger at the top for a ponytail?

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never made a messybun/ponytail hat although I think that it might work with the drawstring closure.

    What is size 13 needle in mm for those not in the USA? Please can someone let me know? I would appreciate it.

  • @lydiamcdaniel7021
    @lydiamcdaniel7021 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do the needles have to be only 16inches? I have size 13 36in.

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to manage just fine, just need to push the loops on your cable together a bit more.
