We're currently taking a closer look at this issue, but sadly I have to inform you that the custom houses and the whole "mods" tab shouldn't really appear in the Story Mode, it's just a bug. Glad it helped! I was seeing on reddit and steam discussions, people terrified they lost all their progress. So I wanted to help them, if this was the bug they were having. And d'aww bummer that it's not in story mode! (Also I'm so addicted that I'm dreaming about House Flipper 2).
I have yet to find an effective method for bug reporting. I would have to guess their looking and not replying, maybe overwhelmed, but yeah hopefully this vid will help them see the big.

I have noticed that the great feedback method from HF1 does not work in my HF2 game. Disappointed about that.
