The financial sanctions on Iran are now having a real impact. Earlier this week, people in Tehran openly complained that the Iranian currency is drastically losing value against the dollar, pushing up prices. Meanwhile, Iran's leadership is already dealing with a threat from Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli leader, who delivered a strong speech at the United Nations against the Iranian nuclear programme. There is also the situation in Syria, where Iran's relationship with the Assad regime is forcing the Iranian leadership to take sides. And then there is Egypt: A new leader, President Morsi, is changing the geopolitical landscape. Is this an opening for Iran? We sat down with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, in New York, to discuss where things stand and where we are headed.

,Long life Great Iran.
Ahmadinejad was a wise man ! He was a true leader
he IS a wise man
always love his interview:) because he thinks far rationally and in HUMAN way with PEACE he has become the face of Iran :)
I can't imagine Iran without this man
Mr Ahmadinejad is a well known academician, a brilliant orator. He is an honest man and deserved to be respected. A great politician and well respected. I admire his speeches and so to those of you who listens to his answers to questions would benefit what he says.
A great man
This situation will end with a BANG.
You say that it's a bad translation - could you please post a more accurate version of his interview? Not every part of course, just the main parts. Thank you.
This is how a muslim leader speaks. A true mohammadian. May god grant him a good level in heaven. :-)
You can't find another president that talks so wise and educated . Rohani is just another khatami
thanks!
Thanks!
I appreciate this man's presence in the world.
I do not know about you, but in my opinion, Mahmoud speeches are much more coherent than obama.
What a nice man. I wonder if hed marry my daughter.
These videos should be viral what the heck!
Everyone can speak beautifully, its the action counts!... you don’t know how corrupt and injustice was this man when he was in power. Endless life’s and money wasted under this guys watch 😔😔
@@Volume1382 you are talking what american media teach you
same here in germany
Seems that this man who keeps questioning does not even understand every time the president gives back his answer.
he is becoming a beacon for the whole world to start talking sense -
Well spoken and quite ballanced leader. Hard not to like him.
Seems like an honorable man making decisions as a sovereign nation's leader must be able.
Anyone have a transcript?
The translation is wrongly done.
Respect.
Hes our Persian pride
He's smooth and smacks of political double-speak.
He is a true leader whose mission is peace. He is against terorrism inflicted by the Jewish country and US who have no hesitation in confiscating other people's lands, punish the innocence, steal natural resources. Long live Ahmadinejad
Look on Syria and say me one more time Persian People free. As a Catholic I am so sorry for Syrian and Persian people.
too true dude.
Of all the times I've listen to Ahmadinejad, I've never disagree with him but once. When he said Iran had no gays. Signs of the topsy turvy world we live in when the real criminals try to brand others as criminals. Double down, Iran. And all the best. From an American
good ,impressive ,meaningful speech
Interesting,tell me more
0:55 The warmonger, hypocrite Netanyahu complaining about Iranian nukes, when Isreal has had nukes coming out of their ears, since the 1960s.
He did show much statesmanship , especially towards the end. The mental flexibility to coherently think from an others perspective that he demonstrated during his statesmanship and his propensity show himself as a supporter of ridged ideologues co-exist easily in his environment, my question is can he bring understanding to ideologues in his country. That is can he impart his ability to see from another person perspective unto the ideologues so a compromise can be reached?
The Muslims do recognize Christ and Mary, did you know that?,very interesting reading about their views...Peace
love him too!!!
rest in peace, young hero.
translation is bad!
He says: the history will judge (our actions) tomorrow !
the translator says: I'm more worried about the future !
(20:01)
This is real human being u can see it from his face ....and he's not afraid..long life ahmadinijed
Well done Mr President you Clearly said that Iranians are not Arabs .
Obviously there isn't someone perfect, but there is someone "better"
This not god damn religion, this fucking History.
A true Persian
I realize this is a very hard pill to swallow and you will feel defensive about it.
But if you listen to Miko Peled's lecture,it may help you understand better.
His sister lost a child to one of those battles, however,no peace will ever come with everyone hating.Ignorance will be the demise.I have many Jewish friends that are also doing their homework,so they can make this a better world for all of us...Peace.
He never denied sending weapons to Bashar al-Assad. He actually admitted it when he said "people make mistakes" 14:10
long live iran
The translation is %40 wrong.
R.I.P
"We need to enter a new world"...hmmm
new world not new world order
The handshake at the end kinda looked awkward.
And they have weapons that are made in Israel in Syria...Interesting, isn;t it?
And who funds Israel for all their weapons, including over 300 warheads?
Which they have not declared having.
I wish my country Malaysia have a leader like this
Hope you do some serious homework and learn what you can, just keep an opened mind and share respectfully.
This whole planet is home and belongs to all of us,not too a supposedly few .
Nobody is good, and nobody is bad.
He is right I allow love him is great man . May Allah give good life don't think I am Iranian I am not from Iran but I love this man really he a lot batter this aribs the Dogs of US ...
hypocritical to ask whether iran sends money, weapons, troop into syria, while the west and israel sends them to the rebels
i agree......Ahmedinejad would def be a better choice to lead than any the presidents we have had in the last 50 years.
lol the interviewer said "shokran" at the end, an arabic word. To the pit with him!
Obviously? How do you know he doesn't mean what he says? Sometimes people just say what they think, without lobby groups writing their scripts for them.
@John Jenkins
if you had a fight with someone, no matter who started it, you would obviously think you were in the good and your opponent in the bad, but he thinks he's in the good, your in the bad, this is how people work, there is no better
This translator is not translating what ahmadinejad is saying... WTF???
R.I.P. :(
By the way,the Islamic community across Canada, get along just fine and peacefully with everyone
he is an very talented at avoiding questions
damm politicians and their demagoguery
good ... ^_^
Allsh Akbar
If he says this, why is iran involved in syrian civil war
God bless Iran
Together together togetherness
Muslim
But we are seeing changes in the world on a "conscious level" that are more positive in the making since the time of the Arab Spring and the world wide protesting making impact and also seeing the changes within those power constructs - small steps can lead into big ones.
Is December 21, 2012 upons those minds? Perhaps?
It is not the end but is an opportunity for real change on a global scale - what was hidden will be revealed & those effects will transform in unity as well as dynamically.
Well one could argue that Hamas is by-product of the bad way that Israel treats palestinians and it's inability to make peace with it's neighbours.
very bad translation
yea then u have something good to watch on tv
RIP!!!!
this guy is smart.....campared to all the president of usa in foriegn affair
before his islam, he is a human. that doesnt sound too bad
How about Iran? They haven't attacked any country in 200 years but they have been attacked by US backed Iraq for example.
I actually voted for Gary Johnson, what exactly is your point?
God biess, iran irak & Middle east........War kills innocent children and women.
Respect peace....... Protect u r children. & countries good future.
His answers about sending arms to Syria was vague at best. Just answer yes or no. Yeah you don't support war yada yada, but the question is are you sending military aid to the Assad regime? And the answer is most likely yes
This is not the true translate, The man says something and the translater says something else not even close to what Ahmadinejad says.
human before muslim.
I like what this dude has to say.
I would not want to be in bad books with Israel
If he would have directly answered to the question then the mass distracting media would have pulled it out of context and made news headlines of it in giant letters and the message would have been lost in the spin. Any intelligent person can read through the lines.
RIP
Ive got an Iranian mate he tells me that the Jews in Iran are actually the real Israelites not todays Khazar ones. Is this true?
Who the f**k is Netanyahu to discuss about the Iranian nuclear programme? The israelis have nuclear capabilities and they dare speak how others should not have them? The hypocrisy. Unbelievable.
A true politician, he is laughably defensive. He tries to put himself in a anti-war like aura.
2024, and EVERYBODY KNOWS WHO WAS LYING AND WHO WAS RIGHTEOUS
Did you even listen?
Wo er Recht hat, hat er Recht!
Because you hear, see and watch that in your media.
Their only interference is to counter the American involvement in Syria, but not to get involved in direct clashes.
They coordinate things that have political significance to counter the actions of the salafist groups that try close on Hezbullah from the Lebanese boarders.
Yeh that makes sense. Is that religion they practice in Persia different to the Khazar countefeit?
Arn't the ones that migrated out of Babylon to Europe the Sephardic Jews?
Well it's US fault, not UK.
Minus all the religious stuff I would vote for Ahmadinejad over Obama or Romney.
they already are free
Thats because he is speaking persian not Arabic.
having different religion doesn't mean that we can't move forward in peace!!...Isrealies are the same people like any others!!.. what happened is already happened but moving positively forward that's the key!!..we will Still support Israel but it won't no more war!!
No he didn't, the people did with the permission of Allah.
To both you and Samer: The problem here is religion full stop. Look at how you're talking to each other because of what? Religion. All because of 2 books written thousands of years ago, by authors you have never met and just heard bizarre unbelievable stories about. We must try to be human beings first and religion should always come second. What's happening in the middle east is tragic to watch.
