I am a guitar geek and was encouraging my wife to pick up guitar. But she hated it because the fret board is so complicated, as is playing chords. She told me that she wanted to play piano because it is linear, and the notes and chords would be easier. We found your channel and I love it! My wife has found the motivation to play piano! We never thought of simply learning triads, as opposed to method books. We took your advice, instruction and method and chose our first song to learn. "Thank U" by Alanis Morissette. It's a perfect song to start with! This one is only THREE chords: C G F, and it remains C G F on both verses and chorus. Since my wife and I are progressive rock fans, we applied your method to some Marillion and Steven Wilson songs. We discovered that your piano method is perfect for those bands/artist. Having lots of fun figuring-out the songs by ear and playing them after some reasonable practice time. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Love your teaching method. Besides pop songs, do you also teach some classical tunes? Maybe something from Bach, Beethoven, Schubert or Handel etc. etc. ?

Teaching is simple and nice. Any link for do the same thing for a 3/4 (um pa pa) and 6/8 123 456.. also tons of videos but could not get it.. can you explain with a similar pattern/approach.. thanks

What about timing notations? Not sure this is helpful. Took classical lessons for approximately eight years and cannot play anything, to my shame I'm trying to get back to playing. But it is worse than pulling teeth. .
The problem with these 4 chord lessons is that it puts the emphasis on singing, not playing the piano. If I played those chords for someone and asked them to tell me what song I was playing, they wouldn’t have a clue.

Why do you play G major with G B and D? I learned it was G B and E.
G major is always GBD
GBE is e minor inverted
