How's the performance? Are you seeing significant battery usage with native linux VM running?
Honestly, I never pay attention to battery. I used M1 Max 16in and I encoded video and run VM the same time. It does drains the battery a little faster than normal. With just VM running, I don’t see significant battery usage.
Thank you so much! I installed Fedora, but I'm experiencing a lot of freezing issues
Which mac system did you install it on?
@@sysadmin102 right now I'm installing the Sonoma 14.4.1
Hi! I have a problem, when I try to install (3:23) it says "Invalid virtual machine configuration. The storage device attachment is invalid". Do you have an idea on how you fix that?
Hi, how much space did you allocated for the storage?
Hi I've been wrecking my brains trying to install the arm version of the fedora kde spin. The official site does not provide ISOs, how can I install it using the raw image?
How to Convert Virtual Box VDI image to QEMU QCOW2 image on Apple ARM
th-cam.com/video/rGMrr1MWcKg/w-d-xo.html
@@sysadmin102 I did convert it however it seems that fedora doesn't include a kernel in their raw images and we need to use their tool to basically lego-fit-it with a kernel based on the platform. So just with the image it seems it doesn't boot unfortunately :(
Can you send me the link to which image you want to run on UTM? I’ll take a look.
hi, do you know how to fix a issue in utm where when running fedora 39 it gives a error after boot that says "Display output not active yet"
Is this using QEMU native? If so you can add serial displays for installation. It would work just fine after installation.
